I tried so long that I can no longer return it. I went with this instead of a more expensive brand but I’m really regretting it because now I have a very expensive vacuum that does VERY little. I can’t even say that it’s better than nothing. No kitty litter, no hair, it picks up nothing. I’m actually pretty upset because just because it was the cheaper option does not mean it was cheap. If you decide to give this a go, make sure you use it often before your return window.

A single ION Power Pack provides approximately 40 minutes of runtime when using the handvac only, and like all lithium-ion batteries, capacity will naturally decrease over time from the 100% capacity of a new battery. These times are based on full capacity: handvac about 40 minutes, bare floor or carpet mode about 25 minutes, and boost mode about 10 minutes. If you’re experiencing an unusually short runtime, please give us a call at 1-855-427-5127, and our team will assist you. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET, and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET.

Therefore, to pick up efficiency it would have to be head on, no in a sweeping motion.

Definitely not suited for multiple pet household - brush was completely wrapped in pet hair after first use - not self cleaning. I returned this item.
