Not what I thought it was, but still cool (warm)!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For some reason, when I first saw the Shark TurboBlade, I assumed (you know what happens when you assume) that it used a 'fan-less' design and that the blades pulled air from directly behind them. I also thought that the 'air-blanket' effect was for both the cooling and the heating features. On both of those presumptions, I was wrong, but that doesn't change the fact that the Shark TurboBlade is a great fan system. I had imagined the perfect use for it would be in the bedroom to either pull air from our open windows in the summer (which would require the air intake to be high up), or that it could put out a warm blanket of air across the bed in the winter. Well, we had a bit of a late fall heatwave followed by some chilly temps afterwards so I got to try both options out and it still worked great for me. During the 'heatwave', I was instead able to use it in my wife's office which in the front of the house and has a door to a balcony. This made it perfect for drawing in a bunch of air from the intake in the base and then jetting a wall of cool air down the hallway towards our bedroom. The first night I did that, if was able to drop the temp in our bedroom by several degrees within an hour without having to turn on the A/C again. During the subsequent cool down to normal temps I moved the TurboBlade into our room and set it up near the foot of the bed. Like I had said, I had kind of hoped that the fan arms would put out an 'air blanket' of warmth over the bed, but the fan wasn't quite tall enough to do that anyway (we have a really tall bed), but then I realized that would probably waste a lot of the heat anyway. The central port where the heat actually comes out of was perfect though for getting things nice and cozy before bed. I also appreciate the remote control for this fan which makes it very easy to operate from the comfy confines of my bed and not have to get up to change anything. The fan is also nicely quiet, especially in the sleep mode, so if you want to keep it on, that's not a problem. I really only have one wish for the Shark TurboBlade, and that would be for them to put out an additional base extender or make it so that the main fan blade could come up a bit higher. That will mostly be for next summer when I think a cool blanket of air would be really nice, but I need it to be about six inches taller than it is right now for that to work. I'm probably going to look for some sort of solid base that would be stable enough to put this on, but if Shark came out with an add on or an extended base, I'd buy it in a second! The wife and I are very happy with the Shark Turbo-Blade and look forward to many comfortable years with it.

Heats room fast, Temperature controlled
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my Shark - TurboBlade Cool + Heat - Ultra-customizable bladeless tower fan & heater, pivots, twists, oscillates up to 180. First, well packaged and easily put together. It comes with a remote control but does have a control panel on the unit. While magnetized, I found the remote a bit too heavy with the batteries in to stay in place. It keeps sliding down. You can set a timer so no worries about forgetting to turn it off. There is also a sheet that explains how to switch from heater to fan and how to use the item. Directions to put it together are on the flaps of the box. Fairly compact so it doesn't take up much space. Yet, it packs a punch. You can control the temperature. It is very easy to switch from fan to heater, just move a handle a quarter turn. The heater has three modes though I haven't figured out what makes modes 1 and 2 different unless 2 blows the air more. Mode 3 is concentrated heat right at you though you can adjust the vent. You can control the range of oscillation. I played with the fan a bit but it is cold so it was not my focus. The vent for the heater is in the middle while the vents for the fan run on either side of it. There are 10 speeds for the fan and the oscillation worked great Why am I in love you ask? Set-up - the room is about 18' x 30', high ceiling, built over 50 years ago as an addition to a building that is over 100 years old, not properly insulated, big windows, and the last place that the heat reaches and even then, it's not much. In winter, I'm lucky if I can get that work area/conference room up to 65 degrees. I brought this in after 14 years after bundling in cold temperatures. Within 20 minutes, this entire room went from 62 degrees to 72 degrees, bundling no longer required. I turn this on when I get to the office and by the time I get my coat off and settled, my corner of the room is warm and the rest of the room soon follows. And that's why I love my Shark.

Daily use for either the hot or the cold
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark TurboBlade Cool + Heat – 2-in-1 Bladeless Tower Fan & Space Heater is definitely what my house needed. My wife is always cold. I've the fan for one day for the purpose of writing this review, but the heat as been used the rest of the days since it arrived. Assembly of the tower was very easy. I only took two to three minutes after reading the instructions. The tower is also very sturdy. With a weight of 23 pounds, it's not going to be knocked over easily. What is quite impressive is how quickly the heat dispersed from the heater is such a short time. You can literally feel the heat almost instantly. Regarding the fan, I love how it blowing air through both sides of the tower and that the end can be adjusted to blow at different angles. I also tried the oscillation feature while using the fan. You have options from as low as 45 degrees to as much as 180 degrees and this helps alot to cool down a room. Over the Shark TurboBlade Cool + Heat – 2-in-1 Bladeless Tower Fan & Space Heater is highly recommended and will be used year round with us.

A fan with this many features has to be good, righ
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fan is to replace my current bedroom fan in the master bedroom. The most important thing for a bedroom fan IMO is for it to be quiet or make a pleasant sound. Assembly is very easy, no tools, it just snaps together. In about 2 minutes you’re done and you can get to fanning. The “blade” ducting on the outputs is really impressive. You can aim them independently, too. With this fan in the bedroom, even at low speed, it makes a great circulation current in the whole room, like a gentle breeze. The ducts also flip to a horizontal position for a wide air stream. The heater is fairly powerful, notably topping my other electric heaters. Though the heat output of any electric heater in the US is never going to be huge, this fan’s lateral air movement really does feel like it heats the room faster. All is not perfect in fan-land, though. The noise from the motor on first run was awful. After it has run now for somewhere around 24 hours of operation, it is quieter. As quiet as it might be on a dB meter, I find the noise quite hard to ignore. The unpleasant whine and pulse of a direct drive DC motor is distinctive and present all the time here. This fan was marketed to be used in a bedroom, with specific call outs on the box. If you have this noise in your bedroom, you’ll be wondering why you sleep so badly. The second, but just as bad, peeve with use in a bedroom is the awful blue light that never turns off. You get 4 levels of too-bright-for-a-bedroom display intensity, and apparently “off” didn’t cross anyone at Shark’s mind. The red is not nearly as disruptive. An interesting, cool, powerful fan. At this price, though, I shouldn’t hear it, and I surely shouldn’t see my entire bedroom lit with a blue glow all night. It’s a shot and miss on Shark’s part, and I can’t recommend this fan until they fix the amateurish QOL issues. Disappointed.

Posted .Hello Buddy, thank you for your review. We are disappointed to hear about your experience. You mentioned that while the fan was easy to assemble and provides impressive airflow and heating, the motor noise and the constant bright blue light make it difficult to use in a bedroom, especially since it was marketed for that purpose. This is not the experience we want for our customers, and we understand how frustrating this situation must be. We are eager to assist you. Please contact our customer service team at 1-855-427-5127. We are available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. We have noted your concerns and will take the necessary steps to resolve them. Amazing features!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shark truly doesn't stop amazing me at this point, every time I give one of their products a shot, I get nervous thinking maybe this is the SharkNinja product that lets me down, nope! I am impressed every single time and this 2 in 1 tower fan and space heater is no exception, I LOVE it!! As a midwest girly right in the middle of winter right now, I’d prefer to have a space heater aimed at me at all times until about March. But I also know, once we hit the summer months it will be sweltering out and I’ll need a fan in every room in the house. I know fan and heater 2 in 1s have been around for a long time, but none are this powerful. The fan speed and power both in the fan and heat settings far exceed my expectations. I also like that it has such a small footprint, going from back in the day where we would have to have a separate fan and heater and swapping them out in the summer and fall and taking up closet space when not in use, to using this 2 in 1 with a small footprint is very impressive. Another feature I use way more than I thought I would is all the customization of the pivot, twist, and oscillate features. Since I have been moving it from room to room lately, I am able to perfectly aim where I need the air flow, it has been so nice! Overall, I know the price point of this Shark TurboBlade fan and space heater could turn some away, but after using it daily I can easily say the quality and features are worth the price.

Cooling and heating in one device
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the Shark TurboBlade fan & heater for around a week now. I live in CA and our weather changes throughout the day, so you have to be prepared for multiple scenarios. The fact that Shark built both a heater and fan in one device is such a nice bonus. The weather here lately is a great use case for this product. The temperature can be in the 40-50s at night, and reach mid 80s during the day. First impressions out of the box was that the Turbo blade & heater were much bigger than I had in my head for some reason. Setting up the device was easy enough, took about 10 minutes to get the pieces connected and turned on. I have to say that the amount of air that comes out on the blades is impressive considering the size that is cut out for them. The center area is for the heater. From my time with, it worked just fine. I used the fan part more during the testing, but want to point out that switching between heat and fan is controlled by a crank on the side of the unit. This is the only way I have found to switch between the two. The changeover happened immediately to my surprise. No waiting for the heater to warm up and heat my room in minutes. The Shark heater / fan has different options to control the air like oscillation and positioning the blade parts horizontal or vertical. One of the coolest parts of this unit has to go to the remote. Yes, the remote control. Something that I end up losing in the long run has been solved by Shark. They magnetized the remote to the back of the unit and I think it's perfect. The magnet is really strong actually. Like, just toss it on it and it will catch and reposition it strong. I feel Star War fans will appreciate this, I did. My only real main complaint about this heater / fan combo is that while I can change the position of the blades vertical or horizontal, I only wish I could adjust the height of the unit! I have mine sitting next to my TV and if I could only lower it a few inches, I could have it underneath, saving even more space in horizontal mode. Lastly, the Shark Turboblade & Heater is priced msrp at $400. I feel the price is too much for what you get here. It’s a great combo unit that I hope will last me, but that is a very premium price for a heater/fan combo. I can completely recommend this to anyone, granted they can find one on sale. I’m giving it 4 of 5 stars for the price and size.

Innovative product for both cool air and heat
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been impressed with the quality of Shark products. I think they have created new and better quality products over the last several years. This "Cool + Heat" tower is innovative and offers the option of cooling down a room or heating it up. We live in the Arizona desert. We mainly need to stay cool during the incredibly hot summers. But in the winter, the desert can get cold at night and you need to take the chill out of the air in some rooms. This product fits the bill on our needs. This device comes in several pieces that you have to assemble. I found it incredibly easy to assemble it. I think it took all of two minutes to assemble. Everything locks into place easily. I was up and running with it within 5 minutes. I found the cool air "fan" feature to produce a good stream of air. You have to direct it toward where you need the air as I don't feel it distributes the air in a wide pattern. The heat function is more focused similar to a space heater. We had guest staying with us and the heat function worked well when it was placed near (but not too close) to the bed. I recommend this product if you are looking for a 2-in-1 solution for cool air and heat.
