It occurs over the most used/pressed keys on the pad. It separates ans wrinkles making the numbers unreadable. In my opinion this is a product design failure not a consumer use failure. I surmise this product is NOT durable for everyday use. I waited a reasonable period of time before posting this review because I wanted to see how severe the problem would become.

Used it quite a bit and it was always dependable. 2 months after the extended warranty expired, it died. In my lifetime, I haven't had that many microwaves because they just don't seem to give out. The ones I've purchased have usually been because they had more features or more powerful microwaves. I think this is the first time I've had to purchase one because the old one just stopped working one day.
