Perfect size, capacity large, cooks evenly, love it

The microwave heats well and quickly. The things I don't like about it is that it slides around on the counter quite easily. The light is inadequate because of it being on the right side instead of the top. I am not a fan of the interior either. I prefer white because you can readily see if it is dirty, and white reflects light better. I don't like that the top isn't flat either. The top has reverse indentations to add strength. They are on all sides. I believe it is done to thin the material making the unit lighter. One reason it may slide around so easily. The wife and I are kind of on the fence whether to exchange it as it heats quite well. We like the GE models, but they just have a very poor service life.

Upgraded from a much smaller microwave and should have done sooner

I purchased this Sharp 2.2 cu ft stainless steel microwave to replace the smaller microwave we have in our kitchen. I was really surprised at how light the microwave was given its size. So far, it has been working great without any issues and the price is reasonable as well.

I purchased this sharp carousel microwave oven at Best Buy. My last sharp carousel microwave oven lasted about 28 years before the latch broke. Sharp as a quality product and I wanted to replace my old sharp with a new sharp carousel. It has been very dependable.

I opened the box upon delivery and immediately noticed that the door was sprung. It hung down about an 1/8 of and inch. I never took the wrapping off. It’s going back

The convenience, courtesy, and quality in my experience replacing a daily-use Microwave enhances my appreciation of this Sharp Product. In less than a day the old was removed and the new installed. At a comfortable price. Best Buy comes through again.

The Sharp 2.2 cu ft Stainless Family Size Countertop Microwave with Sensor Cooking and Inverter Technology is one heck of a beast. We were due for an upgrade and this fit the bill. It does have a rather large footprint for a counter-top microwave, so make certain to check the dimensions carefully when considering where you want to place this unit. Personally, I like it in a corner setting — if you don’t mind losing that triangle of empty space behind the oven. Right out of the box, the Sharp Family Size is just that — big. Interestingly, though, it seemed to weigh less than the older (10 yrs), smaller Sharp that it was replacing. Guess that makes sense with current technology. I was a bit surprised at the flimsiness of the front feet that came installed. They were loose and kind of dangled from side-to-side, to the point where the oven wasn’t level unless I gently lifted the unit and set it straight back down. These are little, black, hard plastic feet that seem barely connected. I attempted to turn them thinking that they were simply coming loose. Nope. Were they firmly attached rubber feet? Nope. Hmmm. (That being said, rubber feet wouldn’t glide along the surface of today’s countertops, I guess.) Anyway, the oven is now level and ready for use. The Sharp 2.2 Family Size Microwave is eerily quiet. That’s nice. I also like the white LED display, as well as the lighting of the interior while cooking. Speaking of interior, the cooking cavity is a glossy-smooth grey surface. Seems like it would be extremely easy to keep clean when wiping up those accidental splatters and spills. I do wish that the exterior, main body of the microwave maybe came in different colors instead of just the industrial grey that you get. Maybe black or white? Just personal preference, so not a huge deal. Maybe that would be an easy DIY project using some decent spray paint… Assembly was super-easy — the center spindle, a wheeled ring, and the platter. Remove the packing-protective-sticker-thingy’s and you’re ready to start cooking. The controls are relatively intuitive, but the manual guides you through the specifics. I like that you can simply push the start button for 30 second increments of cooking…or using the one-touch approach for various times (again, explained in the manual). With the Inverter Technology, things seem to cook very evenly. We haven’t experienced any hot spots so far. Don’t forget — Sharp was the company that first used the turntable to help with even distribution of the microwaves. Couple that with this Inverter Technology and you’ve got a winner. The Sharp 2.2 also has Sensor Cooking, targeting temperature and steam of whatever it is that you’re wanting to heat up so things don’t get carried away. It seems that this oven has everything you could possibly want in a microwave.

Works extremely well for a fantastic price. There was an odd smell the first time I used it but that went away quickly. Looks better in person.

Needed a new microwave that fit into my built in space. This one was perfect! Overall I’m happy microwave, cooks well. I havent used all of the features yet.

We purchased this to replace the exact model which died. There are some subtle changes but everything works fine. Not 5 stars because the light seems dimmer than our last model

I didn't think I would find a better product than my last microwave, but I did in the Sharp 2.2 cu ft microwave. I love how each feature is true and correct. I would recommend this microwave!

Great product but had to return it because it was too big for the space I had in my kitchen.

Replaced 13 yr old unit of same size. Much quieter than old unit. Bigger than old unit on inside. Size actually 1/4" wider than stated. FIts into Sharp kit font for cabinet mounting. Very powerful.

This unit replaces a 20+ year old Sharp Microwave. It cooks well and evenly. Large size allows for flexibility of containers. Upon completion the unit emits 5 loud beeps. That noise can be turned off.

Love this micro wave. Just taking a while to get use to all the buttons. Had my other one a while so was so outdated.

So far I love this microwave, was a little bigger than we thought. My husband loves the defrost part. Would recommend it to anyone.

It is a nice quick-cooking microwave. I had a previous microwave (Panasonic) that had the inversion technology and I was really impressed with how it defrosted without leaving rubbery cooked spots. This microwave was $100 less, but does not meet those expectations unfortunately. It also doesn't have auto settings for smaller amounts of meat. If you aren't defrosting at least a pound of beef or 24 oz! of poultry, you are going to have to set your own timing.
