    i bought this unit specifically for its cassette playing capability. Sadly, after about 3 hours of play, the door and loading mechanism began to jam. It fixed itself a few times, but now it doesn't work at all. I think it is a mechanical fault, not electronic. Cheap plastic levers and so forth. Anyway, my dream of listening to my old tapes one last time has been DENIED!

    CD changer broke after 4 months

    Friday night and we load our Christmas CD's into the changer and it stops working. Won't eject, won't play. Saturday, an hour in voice mail and on hold trying to find out where to get it serviced. I finally get through to someone and they tell me the system is down and to call back. I am not happy with this product or their service.

    we are pretty simple people, just needed to play some CD's, nothing fancy. this broke in less than a year. the CD's trays jammed up. Also, many things you can only control from the remote.

    GREAT stereo just wished it worked RIGHT!!!

    I loved everything about this stereo and wanted it to work out BUT it would not stay on longer than 15 minutes! It was VERY FRUSTRATING!!! There was some kind of automatic shut-off and NOTHING would make it stay on longer than 15 minutes! I finally gave up and returned it! I ended up making 3 trips to Iowa City. Numerous calls to Best Buy & Sharp Co. but no real answers. Was really disappointed.

This Sharp Audio System has an Auto Power Off feature that turns the Audio System off when there is no signal of low signal for 15 minutes. Our recommendation for this is to move the Audio System closer to the window to increase antenna signal. We are very sorry to hear that you returned your Audio System.     Problematic features

    I bought this unit and the tape deck broke within a month. Sharp's vendor could not fix it after several months and I received a replacement unit. Within 90 days with the second unit, the tape deck broke and -- by now over a year since first purchase -- and told warranty expired. Now the timer keeps turning the unit off after 20 minutes with the radio on. (It's not the sleep feature.) Will not buy Sharp again.

This model includes a Auto Power Off feature that will turn the audio system off if there is no/low signal for 15 minutes. If this is happening while you are listening to the tuner we would recommend moving your audio system and antenna closer to a window to improve your antenna signal strength.     just purchased1 month ago and it ate my cds!

    I just returned my5 disc sharp stereo that we purchased less than 1 month ago and they had2 order a new1 for me because it wouldn't eject my cds.computer kept flashing crazy codes.thank goodness we got the2 year warranty4 it.hopefully this1 will be better.had no other choice but to have them order the same1 for me...will update soon

    Terrible reception

    System does an auto shutdown after 10 minutes if it cannot get a stereo signal. No way to disable the auto shutdown. System is of no use to me.

    Can't use with iPhone 5.

    I wish it had said on the outside of the box, or the product description or in one of the many reviews that it is not compatible with an iPhone 5. Says iphone and ipod compatible. Is there anyway for my daughter to listen to the music on her iPhone 5 through the speakers on this unit?? Super frustrating.

    no good no good looks nice but there is no volume. the sound is clear nice, when you increse the volume to max power, u feel that is only up 10.
