Purchase this tv because I needed another one this tv was easy to put together light at and great picture. This is a great tv for the price I brought it for I would buy another sharp tv.

I needed a new TV for our den, since we moved the den TV to the bedroom. I didn't want anything too big, but bigger than the 32" we previously had. This 40" Sharp was on sale for $199, which was $40-50 cheaper than comparable models. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles some models have, but I just needed a TV, no fancy add-ons needed. Good picture, don't know about the sound because I use a soundbar. The only thing that might be an issue for some is the "feet" on the TV are fairly wide apart, so you need a wide TV stand to put it on (or mount it on the wall).

I got 6 of these for my company to use as computer monitors at trade shows we go to. The picture quality is great, they are light weight, and easy to set up. Great purchase so far!

I had been shopping and window pricing TVs for awhile and came across this at best buy. So far it's been a great TV for a great price. Picture quality is decent and setup is easy.

Got this for my son's birthday to go with his new Xbox One S. As he keeps it in his room( and it's a relatively small space) this was perfect size, and compliments the game console just right. I am impressed by the picture, and the ease of setup. it's a good, solid quality, TV, great picture the remote does everything, and it's a highly detailed remote as well which you just see less and less of nowadays. I'm very impressed with it, it was on sale for $200 as such time as I purchased it, making it an Irresistible buy. would highly recommend to anyone, great TV.

My 10 year old 32 inch flat screen TV recently died. I had bought it used for 100 so it served it's purpose. It was then I came across the Sharp 40inch. It was love at first sight. It is amazing what technology can do to how we watch TV. The picture is crisp bright and has met all my expectations. I was amazed by how light the TV weighed and the simple set up and ease to connect to HDMI it was the best purchase I made . And yes I connected s Roku box to it. Now I never leave my Tv. So go ahead and go buy one it was worth every penny.

Overall, not a bad TV for the price. Picture-quality is good, it has multiple inputs-another good point, and was very user-friendly & easy to set up. The only area where I'd take off a star is the sound-quality, which is a little weak & wimpy when watching a DVD (but not on regular broadcast channels, oddly enough.) When watching anything on DVD, you have to really crank up the volume to 60-70% (or more!) to get a decent sound & even then, it's still rather "tinny." That's the only drawback, however. Other than that, it's a good TV for the low-end of the price-scale.

We have limited space in the bedroom and this was nice cheap (price-wise) upgrade from a 720p Plasma that I am sure was running up our electric bill. In fact, there was so little plastic on the edge, that I could have fit a 43" in that space (and will do so next time). Picture is a vast improvement (Especially with gaming and blu-ray) over my older tv and weighs about 1/5 as much as the tv it's replacing. I don't normally "upgrade" a tv until the old one goes out, but this deal was too good to pass up.

The price is amazing. Great color and picture. The value for the money is truly incredible. Mounts easy to the wall, as it is super light. Highly recommend sound improvements though, as the sound is a bit hollow (Remember A.M. Radio?). Works best for a bedroom tv. I linked it up to my Altec Lansing computer speakers and it sounds much, much better. Or, a sound bar would most likely work just fine. I am a Samsung guy, but I am not disappointed at all. Recommended - YES

Large screen , easy set up, great vivid colors, excellent value for the money

This little TV is great for small rooms like a kids or the kitchen. It weighs nothing and needs a very light duty mount. One thing about this tv though: it is not a "thin" model like others. It sticks out about 3" from the wall, so take that in to account and them add the bracket thickness before you pick your spot. Great picture. And a really nice feature is the power button control on the menu. We used 5 of these on a video wall, and the power button can be disabled so no one can mess with it!

I bought this TV for my little sister as a graduation/ Bday gift. The picture is great, plus it is a light and easy to handle. This is a great tv especially for a soon to be college kid who will be moving every few months. The biggest reason it only got 4 stars is the sound quality ! On allot of movies you really have to crank it up. At times it is hard to hear lower tones. All that can be fixed though with a cheap sound bar. Over all I really like it and so does my sister.

The color on this TV is very vivid. The controls are easy to use. The sound is exceptional connecting devises is easy.

This TV was the perfect size for my 16 year old! The picture is great and the price was unbeatable!

Have an entertainment unit with an opening limited to a maximum width of 36.5". Had a variety of tube TVs from 28" - 36" within the unit and before the last one expired decided to move on to an LED HDTV model. Found LED HDTVs in the 39-40" size were the largest screen that would fit. Looked thru specifications and read reviews on a number of models. With viewing distance from about 16' away weren't sure if the current LED models with minimal speaker output would need a sound bar to be heard. This Sharp had more speaker output than other models available in the price range. Only available from Best Buy as a ship to home purchase but the package arrived earlier than expected and intact with no damage. Was able to install and get operational quickly, with trial and error getting the aspect ratio, contrast, and color mix to the desired settings. Picture was decent despite using the standard cable box. Surprised that the sound projected well and could be heard with the volume set in the 1/4 range, so will postpone getting a sound bar.

this is a great tv for the price. it's not to big for a medium size room. the picture is quality is great.

I bought this TV about a month ago and really like it. Picture is great and sound is much better than the Sony I had before. This TV works really well with antenia. I cut the plug years ago and only use antenias. It has all the features that I need for a great price. I purchased when it was on sale and the value for the money can't be beat. I recommend this TV for those who want a nice TV for a good price.
