Set the TV up today and I am very pleased. Very simple set up and very light weight. I needed to adjust the settings to get it looking good, but now picture looks great. For $199. wow ! I definitely recommend it.

Great picture. Plenty bright even in a well lit room. Lightweight. 3 HDMI. Good control over picture. Sound isn't great. No Smart features or WiFi.. but easily resolved by using a roku or chromecast. I also love the variable audio output so you can control volume of external speakers with the TV remote. Many TV's no longer have this feature.

About 2 months in from purchase and the TV is still going strong. Went from a box tv to this so It took a little getting used to how great the quality is and how defining the speakers are. I was a little confused about the red standby light that stays on when the tv is off but I guess that is just how things are now a days. That's the only thing that took a little getting used to. Works great with all my TV devices. Got it for a bargain! Great price and don't forget that Best Buy offers a price match guarantee which you can never go wrong with, I saw a lower price with in 14 days and they credited me on the spot!

Picture is fine. Color is fine. Delivery was fine. Easy set up. The sound is awful. (imagine listening to a transistor radio and you'll be close) No owners manual. Pony up and get something better

Overall value is good for the price if caught on sale. I bought this for a bedroom TV to watch streaming videos on my android box. I was mainly focused on price and not picture quality when making this purchase. Picture is fine for watching normal programming. Sub-par motion blur for a 2016 TV. Color is average. Brightness is average. Contrast is lacking. I tried to calibrate the TV using the Xbox One settings and found that the blacks do not go deep enough to reach the bottom of the spectrum. Same goes for the whites. This will make games and dark scenes in movies suffer. Horror movies in the bedroom will not be great, but all other programming should be fine. Input lag is acceptable for gaming, but not as quick as Samsung or Sony full size TVs. I was able to perform decently on Battlefield 1, but I didn't play on a dark map. I would recommend this TV for anyone who wants something inexpensive for watching news or general programming and who doesn't have an eye for fine detail. This is not the TV for you if you want to play video games and watch movies with a high quality picture. I've had this tv for 3.5 years. Surprisingly good picture and sound for the money. This tv is no frills but is simply a workhorse. Great purchase.

Bought this TV for my bedroom. Easy to install the legs, just need a screw driver. Color is good and sound is Great! I don't even have to have volume up that high. Usually keep volume under 10 because sound is that good. Overall I am satisfied.

The 40 inch TV we purchased is perfect for our living room watching. It is just the right size for our viewing pleasure and fits into the decor of the room. Love the additional features provided via the menu(s) for fine tuning, etc.

What a steal - this is a great 40" TV with excellent picture quality. The speaker output is a little weak for our outdoor patio, but not unusual for a flat screen TV.

Fantastic TV, I will never regret of buying it!!!!

The tv is super easy to set up. But when I turned it on, the first thing I noticed was the sound. The speakers are very tinny, they have no noticeable base whatsoever. I've heard this about these really flat tv's. The 42 in flat tv that this one replaced, had great sound. So I wasn't totally surprised, but it was a bit of a disappointment. So if sound quality is important to you, be prepared to also purchase a sound bar. Next, is the picture, quality. It's a 1080p, so while the picture is pretty sharp, some colors look a little washed out. Also I'm finding the color is hard to adjust. Just can't seem to get the skin tones right. Maybe I'm just too picky, since I've downgraded a notch in both quality, and size. I really didn't want to do either, just trying to save money. Bottom line is, maybe I'll get used to it, maybe I'll return it. But one thing for sure is, I really wanted to like this tv, but don't.

I went to bestbuy with the Idea of buying a sharp 40 inch tv for my living room because to me sharp means quality when i get my new tv home I read the setup instructions it says it is a reskined hisense tv if i had wanted a hisense tv I would have bought one but i wanted a sharp tv the tv works greate but i just whish they where up front and honest that the tv was a reskined hisense tv and not a true sharp made tv

I was looking for something around 120 bucks but saw this at 200 and couldent pass it up. Picture quality is average. The sound is pretty low quality and sometimes off. Worth 200 dollars, though.

We got this TV at a great price for my son who is on a budget and living in a dorm room. And with my Best Buy rewards, we got it even cheaper! Happy mama!

Small LED HD 40" with a Punch. Good Price and Quality

I was looking for a replacement for our 19" CRT TV that gave up the ship. We have a small living room so a 40" is perfect and not too big. For a $200 TV the picture was acceptable. The sound was very poor. You really need a soundbar or external speakers with this TV. The problem was the second day the picture started flickering off and on and the sound started popping. So I returned it figuring there was something wrong with the TV.
