I held on to my old one from 15 years ago because the thing still works , though the VCR in it broke years ago ; ) I already had a Roku device connected to my old tv, so I was thrilled that Roku was integrated. It's actually taken the place of satellite tv for me since I'm subscribed to several streaming services. Great resolution too.
