I bought this TV a few months ago and it looks great, and sounds great. Nice price and easy to assemble, the feet are nice and sturdy and it's easy to carry alone even in the box.

The TV is a good purchase but I was expecting at least a 42.5 inch screen. I ordered a 43 inch and the width of the entire TV is on 38. Therefore, the screen is 37.

I bought this TV 3 years ago thinking that I had made a good purchase, now with only a few days left for 3 years, the TV shows yellow lines on 85% of the screen, I investigated on the internet and this failure is very common in this model of Sharp TV and there is no way to fix it. I do not recommend that you buy this TV, initially it is cheap, the cheaper it was, the more expensive it will be.

I feel like you can't beat the value of this TV. Setup was very simple, including the smart TV features. The picture is good, and I honesty didn't have a whole lot of issues with the remote (we only use streaming services). I thought this tv would have an Ethernet port to hardwire our internet connection, however it is wireless only (we not had any problems with connectivity). We have had a few weird occurrences where the tv will freeze, shut off, turn back on and not respond to the remote. It only takes a few seconds to resolve, but it has happened more than once. Also, the power saving mode will turn on and take a while to turn off. We bought the service plan from Best Buy because the cost of the tv and the plan is still well below the price of a different comparable tv. Overall, we are pleased with this tv and would recommend it to someone looking for a great value.

I bought this for the bedroom and wife uses it most. Wanted something that would fit in a space in a cabinet. Second issue was price. Had to be the right size and cheap. Got both! What really surprised me was how easy it was to set up and use. I had a bit of a hassle with the Roku portion and getting a signal. It is behind several walls and is a bit far. Elevating the whole unit several inches solved that problem. The remote has volume/mute on the side. When you pick it up you hit volume or mute. New universal remote solved that one. I always say good so far but I am past infant mortality on this unit and expect it to an excellent addition!

It just gets the job done. Also, the menus are easily navigable with a minimum of fuss or cut-out features (manually adding over-the-air channels would be a helpful feature). The OTA tuner is fantastic and responsive, it changes channels and inputs very quickly. The speakers and the remote aren't the greatest. Get a soundbar and a sony or programmable remote (the TV responds to the Sony codes) and you're good to go. The picture quality is as good as LED gets, unless you start buying extremely high end. I highly recommend this TV to people who are short on time or not technically inclined. Everything is very straightforward. I can't comment on the TV's durability, since I've only had it for about a week, but it does not seem like it will spontaneously combust so far.

Great size picture for bedroom. It was easy to connect to WIFI and the setup was less than 10 minutes. Sound quality is loud and clear. You can adjust sound quality by scrolling through a list of options in advanced settings. I have my TV set to theater mode, with dialogue clarity set to medium. Picture quality is superb. I have an LG LED TV and it has a slightly better resolution. You can adjust for gaming mode or some other options in advanced settings. Very easy to use. The remote is super small, with Netflix and Hulu buttons on the front. The volume buttons are on the right Sid of remote and is the only flaw. I sometimes hit the mute button, which is on the right side also, by mistake. Or I turn the volume up too much by accident, but it isn't a huge problem. I highly recommend this TV for bedroom use, but Sharp also has a 50 inch 4k ultra for about a hundred dollars more.

Great small TV with ROKU built in!

I bought this TV as a set that I could move around the house as needed. I wanted it based on the one remote with ROKU baked into the OS. So far, it has been great! I can move it easily from a bedroom, to the garage, or out on the patio and stream video through the apps. The picture quality and sound are adequate for a TV of this size and it only weighs a little over 20 pounds and isn't too big to move with one person. The design is nice as well, if slightly plain. At this price point (which I got it on sale for even less), its a great TV for my needs. My only complaint so far would be that the UI is a little bit slower than a newer stand alone ROKU. I can accept this for the price and my use. I'd recommend this for anyone in need of a cheap bedroom TV with access to ROKU smart apps! I recommended to a friend who bought 2 of them and is very happy as well.

Sharp brand brings reliable TV watching with Roku

This was my first Sharp TV since tube televisions, and my first experience with the Roku user interface. The TV was purchased as a present for my parents, and this was their first smart TV. I have to say that they caught on really quickly and to date, by far, Roku is my prime pick for any Smart TV. So much so that I have bought 2 add-on streaming devices for my older smart LG, running the very terrible WebOS, and a 2014 3D Samsung, which also lacks in updates, support, and a very weak OS. Also purchased another Sharp Roku tv for myself. Back up Sharp - the only con about this TV is that you can't dim the screen when it's in the home/menu screen (that's important to me due to family eye sensitivity, and I'd take off a star, if the rest wasn't so great.) The Roku user interface is simple, and repetitive throughout the entire experience, which makes it easy to learn for just about anyone, at any age with or without previous Smart TV experience (imo.) The picture is clear, there are a lot of settings for brightness, color/warm/cold/dimming/mode (cinema, sports, game, etc.) The Wi-Fi is pretty solid, currently the router is sitting about 50 ft away, and there are no issues. This 2017 tv still has plenty of os support, and I have yet to find a streaming app that was not available through Roku. The remote at first takes some time getting used to - its simplistic design means that one has to use navigation rather than shortcut buttons, such as channels up/down (using tv mode, you click the back arrow to view the guide). The volume on the right hand side also meant that I kept muting often, until I got used to handling it. The Roku comes with a built-in manual/videos for tutorials on how to use your new system. No issues with crackling volume/sounds, and pretty easy to adjust settings for sunny rooms. I'm not knowledgeable enough to speak to many of the tech parts, but as someone with 3 different TV brands at home, I easily pick this one at my favourite. One of my favorite things about Roku is that you can type in anything in the search option and it will return a plethora of movies, shows, apps, etc., from any streaming service that they're available on, and shows the price, if it's for rental or purchase. So easy to find anything to watch via just one search entry. The Sharp brand is solid, as it has always been, and so is the quality.

The Best Picture Goes to . . .

I have always bought Sharp TVs in the past, because to me they have the best picture quality. Brilliant, clear, true colors and a very sharp focus. Skin tones are especially accurate. I researched this model online, and then went to a Best Buy store to check it out in person. They had 6-8 large TVs on display in a group, and from across the showroom I spotted this Sharp model because the quality was far better than that of the other makes and models. This TV is very, very easy to set up. I only needed a little bit of help from my cable company, to enter the correct code for my cable remote to operate the TV's volume. Other than that, all I had to do was follow the simple, clear instructions on screen. I was not sure that I would need to use the Roku feature, but it turns out that I am enjoying being able to watch youtube on the large screen. Adding channels is easy. I will probably start using Netflix as well. There is nothing negative that I can think of about this TV. The sound and picture quality are top notch. But I do want to add a word of warning: The User Guide says that the best connection type for this TV is HDMI. It does not come with an HDMI cable -- you have to buy one separately. While I was waiting for the HDMI cable that I ordered to be delivered, I connected to my cable box with AV cable. The quality of the picture was terrible, compared to the quality that I later got with HDMI. You MUST use HDMI to get the full quality.

We really like this television. It takes much less space than the 42" we replaced. Outstanding picture with great color. Amazingly lightweight and would mount easily on a wall. Packaged nicely, it went right into the back seat of the car. The box is about 6 inches thick. The only drawback is the remote. I'd like to see a few better features as it's very basic. The upside is that you can add android or Apple OS to your mobile phone and use that too.

The tv has a decent picture and good sound. The Roku functions as it should and I love it. I originally wanted the insignia model but the new version is like 39" and while the 43" doesn't seem that much bigger it makes a huge difference to me. I bought this tv as it was the right size and you can't buy something this size and buy the Roku seperate for anywhere near the price. My living room tv is a Samsung and my daughter has a Vizio and the picture on them is much better when comparing. It's very obvious. The picture just looks washed out somewhat and not real crisp. But no one watches tv beside another so it's fine for my bedroom. Great value for a bedroom set. Also, it doesn't have a lot of adjustments to mess with and some may see this as a negative. Personally, I like it as I just watch it and don't get caught up in tweaking things. Super value for the money and only one remote since the Roku is built in.

After a bit of a mix-up with being sent a different TV from my online order, the service department fixed things swiftly and we got this, the TV I'd wanted my Mom to get for her bedroom. It has a beautiful, crisp picture and the sound is fantastic. The Roku interface is easy to navigate, and once I set up our streaming services, it was perfect. The remote is a bit small perhaps and the volume adjustment on the side takes a bit of getting used to, especially when picking it up. Overall, we're VERY happy with this set.

This is a great TV for the price, and is the second one I have purchased. It is extremely simple to put together, set up, and start watching. If you've never had a Roku TV, then you may not like having to select the streaming channel or cable service every time the TV is turned on. You get used to it fairly quickly. Picture quality is excellent and speakers are the best sound I've ever had from a TV without external sound bar.

This Sharp 43" HD TV is nice. The picture quality is great, size is good for a smaller room, and light weight. The Roku feature is convenient. The only thing I don't like is the Remote Control. Very small, with minimal buttons.. there are NO NUMBER buttons on the remote. Once I find a better remote, I will be set.
