Our 10 year old plasma finally started losing pixels so it was time to get a new TV. We demoed 3 different manufacturers, and this TV had by far the best combination of picture quality, available ports, and the software. The Roku OS is intuitive, easy to use, and super stable. The unit it light, weight-wise, and worked out of the box. Would buy again.

After much research, decided to go with the Roku platform for our household TV operation. Had some pressure from the wife to get a 2nd TV in another room quickly. Unable to wait for the various huge deals in NOV and other big sales. Did some reviewing, this TV seemed like a good quality-price ratio. Easy to get set up; turn on, follow the directions, hook up to internet, and it was off & running. Picture quality is excellent, as is the sound. Haven't had it much above 15; 6-8 is good enough. No idea how loud it can get! There's some lag time between hitting the 'on' button and watching a channel. Takes about 10 seconds to get to the Roku menu, then another 5-10 seconds to get into a provider (Netflix, Sling, etc). Also certain channels and maybe providers are better/worse than others. Don't think that's a function of the TV, more of either my internet speed or the provider. Overall, having grown up when there were maybe 10 channels to choose from and no remotes and forcing your younger brother to hold the antenna in a certain position to watch Batman, it's pretty magical to have wireless internet TV choices. Will probably buy another one of these for the bedroom, eventually. Unless I can hold out until Black Monday and get a better deal.

I've been reading reviews like crazy and I finally settled on this Sharp Smart Tv. I got a great deal on it. I got it for my kids room and it's super easy to navigate through for kids. I also really love the remote, it's small and user friendly. The picture quality is very comparible to our Samsung 65inch in the living room. You won't be disappointed.

Purchased this 43” Sharp Roku TV in November of 2016 for a ridiculously low price on a Black Friday Online only deal. Works very well for my needs for a Bedroom TV. Love the Roku OS on this TV. I am very familiar with the Roku boxes I have use on other TV’s in the house. No complaints regarding picture quality (1080)...it’s great for any Bedroom...this would be too small for me in any other room. My ONLY Complaints...other reviewers comments. 1) those that say the remote is too small or hard to use! It’s a Roku...that’s what you get and is mainly used to turn the TV on and for use with Streaming Channels. I’d love to hear the complaints the first time Someone used a Apple TV Remote...very hard to get use to. 2) Those reviewers that complain about Netflix or other streaming apps that do not work properly! Just like a Smartphone...if it doesn’t work....DELETE the App and Reinstall it...it’s a Miracle; it will work! (This too happen to me; but I know about the Roku system and had to reinstall the Netflix app...never a problem since. Happy I bought this when I did and for the price I paid (179.99). Have had absolutely no problems.

I use this TV for gaming, and it has been good to me. Image and sound quality are good, and it comes with a nice, small remote and a four-legged stand. The TV is also light enough that I could carry it around by myself. It has some software options built in (Netflix, etc.). It is 1080p, and quite reasonably priced as of mid 2017.

Good TV with a great picture and good sound. Built in Roku works great. The negative for me is my universal uverse remote will not turn the TV on if it has been off for a while. The uverse remote will turn the TV off and on as long as the TV has been used recently. There is also no buttons on the TV (volume, channel, power)except for input.

Purchased this TV for a bedroom and it is the perfect size. It is really easy to navigate and supports apps seamlessly. Picture is great. My only negative is the remote has a mute button on the side which gets accidentally pushed every time you pick up the remote.

My fiance and I bought this TV for my mother for Christmas. It is her first smart TV. It was very easy to set up right out of the box. Step by step instructions on TV. Walked through set up. She absolutely loves it there so many apps. Best part no hanging wires. Such a great buy. Beautiful color on TV.

Easy to set up, easy to connect to, and easy to use. Really haven't found anything to complain about with this TV. The remote is simple, maybe a lil too simple, but defiantly not a reason to not purchase. Haven't done much with the Roku to give a review on it, wasn't why I purchased it. Great picture!

Ten years ago I bought a DLP TV for over a thousand dollars. I bought this LED TV as a replacement. It is not the newest tech but it is at least as good as the TV it is replacing at a quarter of the price. As a cord cutter from way back, having Roku be the tv controller is great also.

The good side: I bought this TV when it was on promotion/discount, and its turning out to be a good deal! Well, a 43 inch-Japanese-brand Roku TV, free delivery, with online streaming function for 250 bucks? I don't think Amazon/EBay can do it ( and actually I have checked it at that time). The color is nice, sound is OK (within that price range), and the Roku function makes things way better than a traditional TV. The down side: The only reason why I deduct one star is just because TV/Roku remote control are over-simplified (yes, you'll need many clicks to switch channels), plus the RoKu Media player fails to support playing certain media files and fast-forward is recently broken on certain new file types. But well, within this price range? These are all minor issues.

Roku TV Priced Right - Bought 2

We have 7 TV's and we wanted Roku in two bedrooms. One TV was a Sharp Plasma but was 11 years old and didn't have enough HDMI outlets for the Roku we needed to hook-up to our upgraded Google mesh network WIFI. We bought these, open box, on sale, on-line. They arrived packed like new, were very easy to set-up - the most difficult was screwing on the legs and finding out how to default to the satellite channels rather than Roku home (hit power, set-up and follow logic). The picture on these TV rivals all the other TV's except the 1 year old Plasma in family room. The Roku is easy to use, the biggest inconvenience was re-entering passwords on streaming channels. We are very happy with these two "priced right" large screen, good sound, Roku TV's.

I was looking for a 42 inch smart TV for my husband to watch his golf matches. I ordered one but was not pleased with it. I went back to the store, and the salesman showed me this one. It had all the "bells and whistles" (FHD, 43in, smart) I needed. The main thing I wanted was the ability to connect my hearing aide T-Dex so I could have it as loud as I needed and my husband could listen at his sound level (which is low for me). I was pleased that it worked. I really didn't understand what "Sharp Roku" meant until I got it home. I had heard about Roku. It was an nice Perk. I am relatively new to streaming, but I am learning. I was very pleased with the TV. The only issue was that I have to use 2 remotes to get to cable. The Roku and then the Xfinity. It is not a problem for me, but it is a concern mainly for my husband who has dementia. One more thing to remember.

I was looking for a TV and it's been a couple of years since my last tv purchase, which was a 50" LCD TV. I am amazed at the value and picture quality for the price. The tv is really light, took all of 5-10 minutes to attach the feet, hook it up to cable and get going. Picture is terrific. Right now just using with internal speakers and they're adequate. Every so often it does look like picture and sound are very slightly off but nothing really noticeable unless you're really looking for it. In general, for the money, quality, and picture for a smart TV I can't see it getting to much better. Connecting to internet was a pieces of cake as well and remote has buttons for Netflix, Sling, hulu, and Starz. I ordered online and picked up in store. Didn't need any help carrying and easily fit in back seat of car. Picked up during lunch and that was a breeze as well. Really nothing not to like.

So, this LED TV is a great TV for 1080p and has many great features for reasonable price. Remote is small and has Amazon and Netflix button on each side. There are volume knobs on the side that sometimes could be punched accidentally when you grab the remote, but it isn't too terrible to get used to handling the remote without this occurring. The picture quality is surprisingly very good for this price point. I watch movies from Amazon Prime and they are very good, blacks and whites are really sharp and colors are vibrant. Of course, when I compare it to my 4K LED in living room, then it is very apparent where the quality is negligent. But just don't have the tendency to move from 4k to 1080p and you should be fine. I actually stream from my phone with the casting app and it works better than I expected. Really cool to be able to cast, stream with good picture quality.

Great picture, but I am leery of the support service: From the first day, one of the buttons on our remote was sticky and prevented proper operation at first so I called service. Got passed around to three different guys, then basically was told that even though I had hooked up the TV and all the associated wires to my system, the only way to get the remote problem fixed was to return the whole TV to Best Buy. They could not send me a new remote. They said they don't stock them. That's a laugh. THAT is BAD BUSINESS. Also, the menu situation on the TV is a bit cumbersome, as when it is first turned on each time, it does not go to a default of satellite TV, it goes to a general menu and you have to SELECT satellite TV before you can see the whole picture. Never had a TV before that did not go directly to the TV picture. It's an extra step we have to go through each time we turn it on, and it's indicative of poor planning.

Picture quality is great right out of the box. You can however play with the picture setting. The main issue I have with this TV is the remote. There are no numbers on it. So l would guess that many people that would buy this TV would be cord cutters, so maybe no cable or satellite. I have cable but do not have cable boxes, just cable straight into the TV. Thus to change channels you can't type in a channel number, you have to use the up and down keys. Also, you can not label the channels with names. No customizing. I did try programing another remote to work with this TV but the result was the same in that you can not enter numbers to change channels. One nice feature is that you can plug in a flash memory stick so that you can rewind live TV. For my set up however, I can only use this on the HD channels. Since I don't have cable boxes, the in between channels are the HD ones like 23.1, 23.2 etc.

My older parents’ TV pooped out and I needed a replacement. I was a little limited by the size as well as the price. The gentlemen at the counter were very helpful and helped me find not only something for the right price, but also the right size. The TV was supposed to go inside a cabinet, and my plan was to get the biggest TV that would fit. The assiciate helped me determine the size of TVs that would best accomplish that, and looked up product height until I was able to find one that would work, and this one fits perfectly. The setting up of the TV was pretty simple. I am no techie, but I figured out how to get this smart tv to go straight to the satellite box, bypassing the smart tv home menu. This was big, since my parents are older and don’t really use a bunch of these features. All and all a good tv.

The Sharp 43" Smart TV is a good value. Easy setup, lightweight. I did not mount it on the wall, but since it's so lightweight it will be easy for someone who would like to. Picture quality is good. Good size for a smaller living area.
