This tv is the perfect size and has all the bells and whistles for a really great price. It works great. We haven't tried the ruko yet but are excited to let the cable go. The picture is crisp and clear. 43" sharp smart tv

Bought this as a Black Friday special. It has been great so far. It’s nice to have a built in Roku and be able to use my phone to control the tv. I looked at 4K TVs but this has a great picture and price.

Love the picture and how easy it was to set up....Do not like that the control does not have numbers to change the channel and that the volume lowers on its on every so often.

I bought this after my Samsung died. Figured a Smart TV was the next step. It has Roku built in, so I am skeptical. Everything has been hit and miss. I would look up channels and not everything is there. I have Apple TV too, so it's a fair fight. You still need a cable subscription for apps. I plugged the coax cable directly to the TV. Scans all the channels and you back to 1970 only with high def (12 channels and the "in-between channels". The TV is entirely wireless. I like to hardline everything, so was disappointed there was no Ethernet jack. Once I tread the Sling TV route, that will be the real decision of whether cable is really a necessity. It's 43" for $250, so I am happy. It's simple, so it's good enough for what I need: entertainment and viewing.

Nice TV for the price. Not hard to figure out if you have any kind of experience. Wireless only. Had to set up an access point close to set for best possible signal, but I knew that going in. C'mon, how much is an ethernet port? Slow to turn on, like an older computer. Starts up at the "Home" screen, so you will have to select either the cable box input, the antenna input, or one of the Roku channels. Right out of the box you have to register the Roku online (once TV connects) and set up an account from a computer, all before you can use the set. Will NOT connect to cable or antenna first so you can watch TV. All these are little annoyances that really don't matter once it is set up and running and you get used to it. Works great for what I bought it for: a TV with a Roku built in so I don't have to buy one for $100~. Not all channels are free (none of the real good ones anyway), but that's the same on any "Smart" TV. I would buy this again.

All the fancy curved and very high definition televisions on the market are making great values of great TVs that are somehow classified as "lesser". I suppose the technology has bee around long enough to drive the prices down of these nice TVs while keeping their abilities very high and cost effective. This Sharp television is in the category. It's a great television with a great display and wonderful color saturation. It's menu is easy to use and understand. Being that it's a "smart" TV makes it standout and become more modern. My only complaint here is that all the "built in" Roku channels are basically what you could pick up on your computer and HDMI connect to most regular televisions, so the advantage is minimal, and one mostly of convenience. But the bottom line is that the television is typically great Sharp quality, the picture is nice, the unit is slim and has a lot of ports and slots, and looks and works great. The capabilities of the television make it even better, and the price, make it a truly great deal.

    Surprise of a lifetime

This Sharp TV was a huge surprise. I have always been lead to believe that Sharp was a generic brand and it was of low quality, in essence, that you get what you pay for, this couldn't be more wrong. I have other TV's from larger brands that cost several hundreds more. I want to go through the pros and cons of this TV with you. Cons: The remote is a Roku remote, so there is no real channel button. This was somewhat tedious, but I can live with it. Customization as far as brightness, color, and the little settings aren't very customizable as other brands. Their low power mode is very similar to normal. In fact they look identical, so i had to adjust a few of the settings to get them to differ. Pros: The volume and speaker quality on this tv is amazing. In situations where I would've turned my other TV's to 35-40, this tv is on 8-12. They are powerful and sound great. Setup is super simple. Connect to the internet and input your various subscriptions information in. Easy! Putting the TV together was super simple. Take it out of the box, grab a philips screw driver, and screw two screws for each leg. The volume being on the side of the remote is something I love. It makes it more similar to a cell phone and feels that way in your hands. I absolutely love this tv. I originally bought it as just a bedroom tv to have netflix playing while falling asleep, but now it has blown me away. I would highly recommend this tv, and would definitely purchase it again.

I had hopes for this TV but I guess at $250, I needed to manage my expectations. I find that everything moves incredibly slow on this television from turning it on to going between programs. Not sure if there is anything that can be done about it but it’s frustrating to wait for the television to boot up then wait another minute or two to turn the channel. Other than that, the picture is just fine and it does what it’s supposed to do. Also, it is fairly easy to set up and is lightweight but be ready to spend some time on the set up, again, because everything moves so slow.

Now that Hisense is the manufacturer for Sharp I was still very impressed. Set up was less than 5 minutes. This is my 3rd Sharp in this home. Picture is crystal clear. Speakers are great for a 150 square foot room. Remote is extremely cheap & way to small unless you are a child. But, I didn't buy it for the remote! I simply use the program provider's remote after the set is turned on. For this crazy $250 price for a 43 inch Sharp it was a no brainer. Get 1 before they are gone ! It is basically the FASTEST plug 'n play TV I've seen.

We needed a tv and a system to replace cable service. A friend recommended Roku so we checked it out online. Roku allows us to use our Netflix and Hulu Plus. It also offers weather and news apps, and so much more. The store salesman showed us the Roku Smart HDTV and we bought it! I used my smart phone to set up the Roku. It was fairly easy. Once we set it up we were prompted to do each action necessary. I just had to get my passwords out to register and sign in on each app that I wanted to add. I enjoyed checking out new apps, too.

I'm very selective when I buy a tv. This Roku Sharp 43" is great for a bedroom. Really nice picture even though it's only 1080p 60 refresh. The picture is even better than the New Samsung 55" tv with 120 refresh I just bought. The Roku feature is really nice. Small limited remote but just use the app instead. Private listening through the app to a head set is great for when someone wants to sleep and other is up watching tv. A few downfalls are: no ethenet plug and the only exterior button is the on/off. Love the tv.

I think this is a great bargain for a HDTV. It has Roku built in, so makes it great for a TV where you don't have a cable hook up. It works great with the little indoor RCA HD antenna that I bought to get broadcast TV. You can configure it to go to antenna TV every time you turn it on, rather than the Home screen. I do think the remote could be better designed. The volume buttons are on the side so many times when I pick it up I change the volume or mute it accidentally. Also, it drops the wireless connection at times, but I think this is more an issue with my 6.5 year-old router that I need to reboot every week, rather than the TV itself.

I own a corporate housing company and we buy a lot of tv's. I thought this was going to be our 'go to' tv because of the built in roku feature that we like to offer. There's one drawback that may seem small but it's big enough that I won't be buying more -- when the tv powers on, it defaults to a screen that you must select between roku or your other inputs (cable, dvd, etc). This means that you HAVE to use the roku remote that comes with the tv to select your input when the tv comes on. My preference would be to power on to the last input that you used, which in our case would be cable the vast majority of the time. In other words, instead of using the comcast or att remote to power on your tv then start channel surfing comcast or att -- you must use the roku remote to select the cable input first, then switch to your att/comcast remote. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but our residents lose remotes ALL the time and I want 1 less remote for our people to keep track of. Another even more minor quibble is that the volume toggle on the roku remote is on the side and not very convenient. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. Power on to the last tv input you used and I'll buy 100 of them.

We needed a relatively cheap tv for our outdoor patio. This fit the bill for price and size and that it was also a smart tv so no extra cable boxes or wires needed.
