I just wanted a TV and bought this because of the sale price and quality. This part I like but the fact that the ROKU screen comes up AB-SO-LUTELY EVERY single time I turn it on is upsetting to me. I don't even use these features. Would love to turn it OFF, but there is NO OPTION for this.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review this TV. Regarding your comment about the TV turning on at the main menu screen, you can change that to turn on to the last used input. You can find that setting in the Home screen menu: navigate to Settings > System > Power > Power on. And then change the Power on setting to "Last used TV input.

I bought one month ago. Just one month later, yellow line appeared. This is the best buy model, not sharp. When I tried to fix, I have to call the different place from sharp. It takes more than 30 minutes to connect the customer service. The service representative is also not good. Never this TV, Toshiba may be better. At least, you should make sure if the TV is sharp or best buy model. If it is the best buy model, you may have a problem and lose much time to fix that.

This TV is the most frustrating thing I have ever owned. I cannot watch a full program without the signal dropping off, sometimes for seconds, sometimes for minutes. I have another TV in the house which has no problem. I have good strong internet signal in the house so when the screen goes dark with that little blue loading box showing up, i know it's the TV. I would never have bought it if I had known about this problem.

My initial thoughts on the tv after reading several reviews and having used it for a few days, were that the tv was an excellent selection for my first. However, after just (6) days, my joy quickly turned to dismay when the Power and Volume up buttons were simultaneously pressed. The result, a glitch in the display, causing the images aspect ratio, clarity, and size to be completely distorted. In addition to this, the image would randomly blink or black out. I powered the system off and on several times which was of no avail. I attempted to navigate to the settings but was unable to due to the distortion. After an hour or so of leaving the tv at rest, it finally returned to its original state. I am returning the tv as a result of this.

Bought this online at an area store as a Geek Squad Certified Refurbished to save a couple bucks. Excited to surprise the family with 4K and HDR, plus I love the Roku UI. So I drive the extra miles to pick it up, got it home, mounted it on the wall, pressed power. No response save for some blinking and dimming of the little blue power/input light.
Now I'm going to bed annoyed that I will have to unmount, repackage, drive, and exchange this tomorrow.

Thought this would at least allow me to stream from my NAS- It does not....I was able to work around this by using Plex, but this TV will not be able to find a NAS box running without additional software running on your NAS

Great 4K TV for the Price

We decided to upgrade to a 4K TV from a 1080p TV and I'm so glad that we did. This Sharp TV has a fantastic picture and lots of connections, which provide a great deal of flexibility.
The main reason I bought this TV was because I needed to connect my TV to an older Bose Sound System that only has analog audio connections. Since a new sound system would be at least $500, it was more economical to buy a new TV with the proper ports. In addition to the digital audio out (for new sound systems), this TV has an analog audio out for older (for older sound systems). This is actually a pretty rare feature in newer TVs, as most just have the digital out.
As mentioned above, the picture quality is fantastic, and the viewing angles are excellent no matter where I sit/stand in the room. The minimal 4K video we've watched looked incredible and I've noticed the TV up-scaling to make the picture look better when playing 1080p content as well.
As others have mentioned, the remote is... weird. The strangest thing is that the volume controls are on the side of it, which makes it very difficult not to accidentally mute when you pick the remote up. We're using the DirecTV remote for volume, so this isn't a problem for us, but it might be a deal breaker for some. The remote also doesn't have any numbers on it, so you will have to use your cable/satellite remote to change channels.
I haven't really used the TV's speakers, but they seem okay. Not fantastic sound, but better than some TVs I've used.
I found the Roku (Smart TV) features to be easy-to-use and they work well.
The DirecTV remote could not find the code to sync with the remote (I think this is a DirecTV problem, not a Sharp problem). After some searching online, I found the code that works for this TV. It is 10885.

This tv is great when it actually connects. Unfortunately, it constantly loses the network and cannot find it. It is not a problem with the network since it the network works with every other device and the tv has a strong signal when it does decide to connect. I cannot recommend this for use on a wifi network

Got a great deal on this Sharp 43" at Best Buy. The set up was very simple. It has a great picture. The remote control is a joke. Really! It's the first time I am glad to use the cable box remote. However my cable remote wont choose cable box every time the tv is turned on, I have to use the sharp remote for that. You have to choose what(cable box, dvd, roku, antenna ect) to watch every time you turn it on. It should automatically go to what you watched last. Especially if you watch cable most of the time. I do not like to have to use both remotes to watch regular cable tv. Unfortunately the cable box is mandatory from our cable company(S-Link) so plan to switch back and forth when you turn it on. There are no numbers for channel selection on the sharp remote. Buttons for Netflix Sling Hulu Starz are a waste of space on the remote. They must have paid plenty to be included on every remote. I am enjoying being able to see the tv without my glasses. The picture is clear and sharp.

I order this tv in certified condition unfortunately I didn’t open the box after 40 days because it was birthday gift after I opened and turn on the tv I saw big cracks on tv I try to return that thay don’t accepted and I waisted my money !!!!??
