But I didn't want to believe it and had to see for myself. This unit was purchased as a dedicated 4K computer monitor but it is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! The problem is most noticeable with text display where the "SHARPness" can only be described as HORRIFIC. No combination of advanced settings (of which there are few) nor "game mode" allowed even lowly text to be rendered with evenly passable clarity. See attached close-up pictures for comparison between this "Sharp" and a years older Vizio. The Vizio puts this thing completely to shame. The problem is somewhat perplexing as you can see the raw pixel resolution in the Sharp however it appears some type of smoothing/fuzz processing occurs to the 4K image which causes it to bleed into adjacent pixels. No idea, I'm done here and will cough up a few bucks more for a manufacturer who can get this seemingly simple and common use case supported competently. This sad thing goes back in the box with God speed and gets a return trip to Best Buy. The price was attractive as it was about half off during a recent Deal of the Day or some such. But frankly I wouldn't want to use it an any price.
