I purchased this and when set up, there was a problem with the sound. Called Sharp who walked me through the steps to try and fix it. They told me there was a problem and to exchange it. Did that, came home set it up and it had the same problem. Had to buy a soundbar in order to hear it at a reasonable volume. Will not be recommending this tv.

After a year and a half this TV developed a horizontal thick grey bar across the screen. Buyer beware.

In less than 16 months the backlight is gone. Audio comes but no video

I was looking for a replacement for my 39" Vizio which had a nice picture but too small. I didn't realize just how big this tv Would be at home,looks a lot smaller in store. After spending a few minutes setting the tv up I went ahead and put in a blu ray movie and found it very easy to set up custom setting and am very happy the the picture quality. Nicer Blacks than I was expecting,better than my full array Vizio,colors are very good but don't really pop like higher priced sets. Only slight knock is flesh colors/tones are slightly off but not bad by any means. These are my setting which are perfect for me. The movie I used is the blu ray of The Martian. View mode-Normal Backlight-35 Brightness-42 Contrast-52 Color-46 Sharpness-25 Very impressed with this TV,hopefully it can last a long time.

TV set came broken :( it still in my house! Called in Noone was helping me!

I returned this item as the display screen was broken when I opened the box.

The picture and audio are not as good as our 2012 RCA tv was.

I've been grinding a TV purchase for the last couple weeks and it looks like I found a winner. You can't beat this bang for your buck. Just got it home linked up today and picture and size is perfect. Lots of adjustments for color depth / brightness etc. Running in Atlantic Broadband HD and looks great. Might want to tone down the "color" a bit, but personal preference. Sales guys will push the Sony's or Samsung's but his looks just as good. I've worked for Sony before so i was comparing tightly. I don't need "smart tv" or 4k, which won't be broadcasted for years. I have a chromecast linked up and all my wireless stuff (Netflix, Plex) going into it threw that. Or just get TIVO, it has it all too. Super streamline, great picture. Lots of hook up's and audio out, which i needed for my HIFI for sound. Best TV out there for this size and price. $450

Im not a TV snob, however I do like a quality picture. With that being said, this basic 50 inch led tv exceeded my expectations in picture quality, GUI, easy usability, etc. Since I already had a 3rd generation Apple TV device that can convert any basic plasma/led/lcd into a smart tv instantly, it wasnt necessary fro me to buy a smart tv. 429.99 was way below my budget... This was a great buy!!

If you are looking for a basic (Dumb TV) not a Smart TV then this TV is for you. After reading all the reviews I decided to give this TV a try and wondering to myself why this TV was so cheap in price for BFF @$299. Ordered on BF received it UPS on Monday talking about super fast free UPS shipping. TV took all of about 15 minutes easy hookup. What a great TV crystal clear and picture. Love the fact that it has 3 HDMI ports. Was able to plug up my Google Chromecast stick & my Roku TV Box as well saved myself an additional $60 by already having these units. I will agree with some of the reviews the sound could have been enhanced a whole lot better and speaker should have been in the front instead of the back. But with a quick Surround Sound System I have it sounds great. I would recommend purchase at the $299 sale nothing higher. The size is perfect for a medium size livingroom like I have. It's a keeper. Sharp just work on the TV sound. BestBuy you Guys were great and I will continue to buy from you. Thanks

Like many others, I snagged this TV for $299 on Black Friday for the downstairs game room, and though I was a bit skeptical as to why this particular TV was so steeply discounted, the reviews were pretty good, so I grabbed it while the deal was on. I'm glad I did. (especially since it sold out minutes later). I'd consider Sharp a "2nd Tier" brand name, but for a basic non-smart TV this one has the goods and does not disappoint. No frills, just a sharp (no pun intended), clear 1080p picture and acceptable sound for the form factor. HD Satellite TV looks very good, and my XBOX One is absolutely stunning with zero perceptible lag. You may want to play with the picture settings out of the box to get it just right. Don't get me wrong - the 60" Samsung plasma I got last Black Friday has better overall picture quality and silky smooth fast-action rendering but this TV is not far off from that and about 1/3 of the price. Highly recommend!

The definition of the image is not the quality I though

This was my last purchase with my favorite salesman Sal Ingargiola. As usual he was wonderful and will be missed dearly. The upside to him leaving is he got a promotion within Best Buy. The tv is great for the price. We purchased this for my father in-law to replace a plasma (space heater). The picture quality is better than expected and was easy to hook up. The room is much cooler now that the plasma is gone.

Want a large, 1080p TV with no frills and a cheap price? This TV is for you. The image is clear, it has built in speakers, and only has a refresh rate of 60 MHz, which is perfect since I find 120 MHZ distracting. Sure, blocks aren't very black, but there are 3 HDMI ports and 1080p resolution for less than 400 bucks. Buy it if you're not looking for anything fancy.

So i was looking to replace my old 8 year old LCD and decided I would start here. After reading the reviews here I decided I wanted to purchase this Sharp 50 inch LED TV. I ordered online during a promotional sale and received the TV in a timely fashion. I hooked up the TV and was very impressed by the picture. A huge difference over my old LCD as far as clarity and brightness. My only complaint is that the built in speakers generate some kind of dull, low humming sound from the speakers even if its on a medium volume setting. This does not affect me so much since I use a receiver and surround sound speakers for my audio, but may affect the decision of buying this TV for others who are not using a surround sound as your main sound options. In closing....great picture, great price...but not impressed with the factory speakers that are on the TV. If you have your own speaker system with receiver buy this LED TV...otherwise I would recommend saving up for a slightly better model.

I was looking for a larger TV, and had been searching for a week prior to Black Friday when I came across this TV. It was delivered on time (at NO cost-UPS), quite easy set-up, very nice picture quality, and wonderful sound quality as well. The sound was a major concern-most of the thinner HDTV's have a lack of sound quality-with this one there was no need to purchase a soundbar/surround sound system. Would also like to add that in my search for a TV I discovered a little known fact-that the bargain Black Friday & Cyber Monday TV's are are made for those sale dates specifically, and therefore, made with cheaper materials. I compared weight vs. one another and found this TV was in fact a heavier TV than alot of others.

It works beautifully and it's a great price! I liked it so much that when my boyfriend needed a new TV, he bought this same one. The colors are great, it's responsive, and easy to use.
