    I bought this TV one week ago. I plugged it in and it whistles when the volume is low like a tea kettle. I just received a new one today and it's the exact same problem.

    After reading all of the reviews I made the decision to purchase this tv...after several attempts to set up...the tv was slow connecting to cable channels...picture was not as clear as my previous tv[Insignia]...but the real dealbreaker was the fact that my Roku streaming stick does NOT work with this model [perhaps other Roku devices are compatible]...nowhere on the overview or specifications is this indicated...will be returning tv today!!!

    Warning: Open and PLUG IN TV as soon as you get it. We did a home remodel. the TV was for an area that had NO ELECTRICITY, so it was safely in the box for a few months before we installed it. When we took it out of the box, it appeared to be pristine. When we got it mounted on the wall, there was a hairline fracture beneath the surface. NEITHER SHARP 1-year supposed warranty) NOR BEST BUY stood by the product.

    Good video but horrible audio

    Bought this open box on 1/4/16 for a great deal, after a few days the sound completely stopped working. Now either I have to return and lose the deal or keep and hope warranty covers this.

    Not what i expected from Sharp

    Tempeted to buy because of the thanks giving price. Sound quality it poor. After two weeks of use there is black strip that i am seeing on the screen not sure what exactly happend. Poor and cheap quality from Bestbuy and Sharp.

    We ordered this TV with the Black Friday deal and were very excited when we opened it on Christmas to play our new games on it. When we opened it up the top right corner was cracked. I was very disappointed with this TV.

    DOA TWICE.

    I just got home with my second unit, and it, too, arrived DOA. Plug it in, turn it on and nothing but garbage on the screen. Taking it back again tomorrow and buying another brand.

    I own a 50LE442U which is in the same category as this model. The only real difference being the year. I paid approximately the same price for the TV and just after 2 years it blew out. There was no warning or anything. We watched TV one day and the next day it wouldn't turn on. Called tech support and of course there wasn't anything they could do about it because there is only a 1-year warranty. I would not purchase this TV or any other Sharp; simply not worth the hassle. It may seem like a good value, but down the road it will not be. A repair would undoubtedly cost over 25% of the cost of the TV (let alone is actual current value). Surprisingly, my 5 year old Dynex is still working.
