I like Sharp. I upgraded & got a 55 inch last month. Now my 50 inch, after 2 years, went black. I have sound but a faint picture. Geek squad will charge $99 to look at it, which might be fixable. The local repair shop said the part is hard to get. Labor and parts might be more than what I paid for the tv. So now I’m stuck with a dead Smart tv and undecided on whether to buy another Sharp. I now have concerns for the new Sharp I just bought.

I am not at all happy with this 50" Sharpe Roku 4K TV.
I have a glowing orb on the bottom off the screen, TV 4 wks old.
Picture color is lacking as well. Now I have to package up and schlepp the TV 22 miles away for an exchange.
I can think of a better use of time

My first Roku sharp tv's LED went out within warranty. I was 1 month shy of not getting my roku tv replaced. Today, I am 3 months out of warranty and my LED lights went out and now Im sitting here with no TV staring at my walls and I can't even get a replacement! Second roku back to back. Taken excellent care of it with my clear tape still around it like new. Dont trust roku sharp. I will never waste my money or time on these tvs. Come on give us a 2 year warranty, but roku knows they dont loose anything because the leds only last a year and they go out. They dont put their customers first.

Bought this on Black Friday 2017 as part of Best Buy's doorbuster. It is the lowest quality available to be able to be called 4K. Went back to best buy and asked a home theater representative how to get a better picture and was told "you get what you pay for". The LED TV I had prior looked better than this TV. I tried using 4K streaming from Amazon and it looked nothing better than just ok. Save your money and buy a TV with HDR if you decide to go the 4K route.

We probably got a lemon but this tv is the biggest piece of junk we’ve ever owned. It constantly restarts and it won’t pickup Netflix when it’s hard wired to the router. Geek Squad has been out once and said they were ordering a motherboard for it. We’ll see if that does the trick. We can’t watch it for more than sometimes minutes at a time. If I had it to do again and knew what I know today, no way!

Worst TV ever

I understand that this is a budget tv so it will not have all the thrills that a non-budget tv has, but this tv is horrible. The picture on the screen is terrible. It washes the colors of the people and lights out. It is not a clear picture at all. I held onto the tv for 6 days hoping that the picture would adjust. It didn't. The only picture adjustment that can be made on the tv itself is for you to choose a mode of Brighter, Bright, Normal, Dark, and Darker.
I returned the TV and bought the TCL 49 inch. The TCL has far better picture quality.

I spent 8 hours of my life during black friday (Thursday doorbuster) for a SHARP TV that worked only 3 days. After 3 days it did not turn on again and the worst thing is that best buy only returns the money and does not replace it because the TV is sold out. So if you want to leave the store with a new TV of the same characteristics you have to disburse at least 200 dollars. thanks best buy for making me lose 8 hours of my life.

Good day all,
I wanted to share my thoughts on this particular TV. I bought this TV during a doorbuster on black friday in 2018 (was 150 bucks!).
Now, the TV doesn't turn on. Power light illuminates, no picture. I changed 4 different power cables, still non functional
I understand this was a door buster, This does not mean the TV should be malfunctional in 1 year.
I called Sharp through their (LC) number. no help at all.
I would recommended highly AGAINST this purchase.

I purchased this tv online after reading great ratings thinking how can I go wrong at $300. I have an insignia roku tv and I do like the roku platform. However this TV has the worst picture of any flat panel TV I have owned. I found my self squinting to make the picture focus. Best buy Oakdale was very generous to let me return this outside the 15 day return policy as I thought it was 30 days. I exchanged it for the Q6F Samsung. Cost twice as much but it's well worth it in my opinion.

DO NOT BUY SHARP ELECTRONICS!! The TV picture has died within a few months of purchase, Geek Squad sent out DENIED warranty although SHARP formerly approved it. Sharp then once again denied it after a half hour on hold. I pitched a fit and was told of a "30 day grace period". On the warranty although online it states there is an additional 90 days on the larger TVs. Total run around. Still NOT FIXED currently ON HOLD. FOUND OUT SHARP ELECTRONICS ARE TERRIBLE!

I bought this TV on 9/21/2018 , it has already broke as of 10/27/2018 . Out of nowhere while watching TV, a black vertical line appeared just to the right of the middle of the screen, along with pixelation on the bottom on the screen.
This is garbage, and I will never buy a Sharp TV again after this experience

I bought this TV just 2 years ago, and it crapped out already. The TV turns on and off and flips menus back and forth. It's unwatchable and will have to be thrown out. I read some other reviews online, and apparently this is a common problem with this TV. Very disappointing.

I bought 2 TVs in Black Friday 2017. After 1 and half year both tvs started to turn off randomly. It could be after 15 minutes or after a few hours. I took them to a technician and it happens that I need to replace the main board of both of them.
