Okay for the money

Disappointing!!!

Within a couple weeks of use, the TV stopped turning on. It was stuck in boot up cycle. Performed the normal search for fixes and contacted support. Fixes did not work. Returned to store where they would not replace it, as it was one day over policy, which is normally only a 14 day period. Stated it had to go back to manufacture, during which time I would just be without a unit. Not only would I be without a unit, once fixed it could on be shipped to the store location for pickup. The process was a disappointing inconvenience from both the manufacture and retailer.

Great TV for the cost

I have tried everything to get this tv to work. Everything, .... except place this tv outside for trash pick-up, which I will have to do since it won't power up.

It’s not as good a tv as everyone thinks.

The on and off button has started to flash when I’m watching TV now. The volume has to be turned up so high just to be able to hear the tv. Trying to set the tv up was very hard and I recommend that someone should have to come set the tv up without charging the purchaser.

Not Happy

Called Sharp and they sent me to Geek Squad. Geek Squad farmed it out to another company. First appointment no show. Now have second appointment and Advisory TV told the Geek Squad rep that the parts are not in. Called Sharp again and they don't care. Just got told to call Geek Squad again. 4 hours wasted on my day off and will probably 4 more hours for the second appointment on Thursday. Lost faith in Best Buy and Sharp.

It is no longer working and will not turn on. Lesson learned: Invest in a better television and try not to be cheap or don’t watch TV at all!

After about 8 months volume started changing and TV would shut off on its own. Called the store at least 11 times with no answer. Went to the store to get help twice finally given a Geek Squad card and told to call them. They were a no show twice. After a month and a half they came to fix it with the wrong part. Its still doesn't work correctly even after they put in a part from another tv. We gave up and put the tv in the cellar.

The worst

We knew ahead of time that it wouldn't be the same as our plasma, but we weren't prepared for there being almost no color& images being blurry. Before Geek Squad left, we new it was being returned. We have a 24" Sharp which is nice, but this 50" was garbage. Literally. I seriously wouldn't want it even if it were free. Geek Squad went out their way to help us get a replacement.

It would only flash when you turn it on and then the screen went black. We thought it was a great value but I guess you get what you pay for.
