Looks great but doesn't work!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't get a single radio station AM or FM to come in...the loop antenna doesn't work at all! Most likely going to return it to the store! Really disappointed since it was exactly what I wanted & looks great setup.

The best compact shelf stereo - very happy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much better than a Philips model I previously owned but returned for this. Very, very well built and attractive looking Subwoofer port, and coax antenna port, rca line in More ports than the sony unit which costs much more Very robust volume knob and dedicated buttons for every operation Awesome, clear, grammatically correct LCD screen which displays song info and all other important info. Strong bluetooth connection Quiet, well built cd player - for those who know cds still sound better Compact, but not so small as to seem cheap highly functional remote intuitive operation good instruction manual does not get hot manual eq! allows you to adjust treble and bass little/no distortion at high volume the only thing I would change is the power saving feature. please dont shut down my stereo just cause music stopped playing. At least give me on option to stop it.

Excellent small Stereo for the Office
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit had exactly the features I needed, which others did not. First off it has a sub out to run a powered sub-woofer. Then Bluetooth along with all the other needed audio inputs; radio, cd, audio line-in. And the receiver is small enough to easily fit on an office shelf where a normal audio receiver would be too big. My particular configuration. I am using a decent set of Polk Monitor 40 speakers plus a Polk subwoofer. I have an Alexa dot plugged into the line-in jack. The system is a little underpowered for the Polk speakers but it sounds great and plays adequately loud for my office. Highly recommended for sound, size, functionality, and price.

Stereo with Bluetooth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.System looks nice but the reality is that it is difficult to get the connection and I have pretty much given up come to understand I have lost my money. Sound is not to bad. Will definitely get a different system.

Decent Enough
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit will be adequate for my intentions in the bedroom. A few things to note though are as follows..... 1. The stereo does NOT have NFC pairing as Best Buy listed it does. I've combed the manual and no where does it mention NFC as an option. 2. The AUX input does not play as loudly as the Bluetooth or CD. 3. The CD player is extremely sensitive. It doesn't take much of a nudge to make it skip. Also worth a note, the CD player will not display artist/track names unless the CD text is in WMA format. MP3 will not show. 4. X-Bass just distorts the sound. It could be beneficial with a different set of speakers, but the ones that are shipped with the unit will be best left with the X-Bass off. For the price point it is a fair device, especially with options of Bluetooth, Subwoofer output and USB playback.

Decent sound but design flaw for clock display.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is my opinion: I thought the unit was over priced by 20 to 30 dollars. Mainly bought it to hook into my PC and use while working. Paid over what I considered as a good value, because it had headphone jack in front and line-in from the rear, and easy to see display with a clock. Sound is decent, bluetooth test was good. Bluetooth is not a feature I will use, but did test it. When friends visit it is a nice feature to have, they can link their whatever device and play music. Played CDs okay. As of yet, I have not used USP playback. I liked the line-in feature in the back, made hooking up to PC easy. Speaker wires should be two or three feet longer, but that is an easy fix. EQ or lack there of - has only two features and thought it should have more. Again, sound is decent and not a major issue. Major design flaw is the clock. *The clock feature was part of the selling point. I was mislead by store employees. Not their fault, it falls on Sharp's design team for the unit. When in standby mode, "The clock should display." Instead, it displays "bluetooth". Also, once I have the function selected, example "Line-in" the system should have allowed a feature for the clock to be shown instead of "line-in". Whenever wanting to know the time, I must push the clock button and time is displayed for a few seconds. Sitting at desk, working and listening to music, I glimpse at the unit for the time. It informs me "line-in". I do not need a reminder the player is using "line-in". I would rather see the time. Instead, I have to hang a wall clock or close a document on the PC screen to see time on the computer. I wanted something with a simple glimpse for time, without having to pick up the remote and push a button. Clock feature is a design flaw that should have been caught prior to putting on the market. Having an option for clock display to be on is common sense. Upside, headphone jack works great. Unsure about front audio-in, have not used it yet. The clock design flaw has left me pondering a return to Best Buy for a refund. Other than the clock feature design, the unit seems okay. I have only owned it for a day and passage of time could change my opinion. Due to the clock feature failing to preform as told by Best Buy employees, I give it four out of five stars. If the clock worked as told, I would have given it five stars. Would I recommend it? Maybe, but I would explain the design flaw for the clock. Thus far, sound quality is good.
