This was a clear downgrade to the 10 yr old system I was attempting to replace. I returned the unit to a Best Buy store after a day. I have no issues with Best Buy; both their website, and in store customer service, were stellar.

Unfortunately this unit was not able to pick up any stations. The jacks in the back to attach the external antenna, which I purchased at the same time were incompatible

CD player stopped working.

I liked it, until the CD player recently broke. It won't read the disc. Tried multiple discs. Out of manufactor warranty (1yr) so that was $200 bucks down the drain.

Even I could figure out the initial setup. I might have to get my son-in-law to rig a better FM external cord (as suggested) but the FM reception is fine as is. (This replaces my BOSE that years ago began to skip while playing CD's- it has been demoted to living as a bedroom clock radio). I had wanted to replace it for a long time.

I am able to clearly hear the subtle sound of instruments in the background and the overall clarity is great. My only gripe about this system is that the symbols on the buttons are really small. I would much rather have script that describes the function. The remote is also small and hard to read...it's made for people with hands a lot smaller than my meat-hooks. All that said, it's not enough to make me want to reduce my rating. It's a great little system
