Screen sizing sucks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have direct TV and this tv does not fit the screen size properly. When you have it in cinema mode you get a black line about 4" on top and bottom of picture. When you increase the size it cuts off parts of the picture. Picture quality is good.

Great TV for the Price, Great Picture Limited Apps
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went in the Best Buy planning to purchase the Insignia Roku 4k TV but this was right next to it on the wall and for the sale price it just $50 more it seemed worth it for a better image quality. This TV looks great when displaying 4k content. The colors look great on the screen. The Sharp website claims this TV is HDR but that was not on the box or in the Best Buy Description. This TV also does up conversion of 1080p pretty well. Watching non 4k content on Netflix/Antenna Channels also look great on the TV. However my local ABC and Fox does broadcast in 720p and it did look a bit blurry. May be a way to fix that in the settings i don't know. The TV has a native 60 Hz which simulates to 120 Hz. It has 2 HDMI 2.0 ports for 60Hz 4k and 2 HDMI 1.4 which only does 4k 30 Hz. The amount of Apps the TV has available right now is disappointing. I was looking for a TV i could wall mount without having any devices plugged into it. The TV does have some major apps like Netflix, You Tube, VUDU, Amazon, UltraFlix. There also some other minor Apps on the TV but nothing major. It seems to be missing Hulu. I have not found an app store to find more apps on the TV. Before purchasing I asked the Best Buy worker who was assisting me on the of some more apps i needed for my streaming such as Sling TV, WWE Network, Watch ESPN and he assured me those were on there. Sadly this was false information. Overall I do like the Image quality on this TV. For the price it seems well worth the money. I do wish that there was more apps on it but maybe that will change in a firmware update.

Poor Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV back in June 2016 because of Sharps quality history. Well, It is now November 2016 and the TV will not power on. It will take 1 week for someone to come out and another week for parts. Awesome, 2 weeks without our main TV. Good job Sharp. Look to Samsung or Panasonic for your TV needs.

Junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It takes forever to start up. Apps often don't start up at all. The TV entirely froze on me once and became unresponsive to any button presses. I had to unplug it from the wall to reset it.

Excelent Quality TV and features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have different brands at home Vizio, Samsung, Toshiba and now sharp 4K 55 inch, I had one of my family member purchased another 4K 65inch sharp as well and I love it once I installed in the wall, so after trying myself another brand cheaper price on black Friday , I was so disappointed of that product came defective and had to return it, so I look for a sharp and these one fit the budget had to pay little bit more but under $600 and it has what I want, easy to use remote control very friendly with ready options Netflix youtube, wifi ready, it gets sharp clean pictures so I can't be more than satisfied that what I am, I do recommend these TV to any one specially if you like big Tv and decent price, sharp is for you and you will love it, I love it and again I am happy, thanks sharp.

Great TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent TV for this price point. I have had this TV for over a week and I have had no issues so far. For me the best picture was achieved by changing picture mode to vivid, color temperature to standard and turn off the ECO sensor.

Good. Not great.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for $600 ($620) after taxes. I'll start with what I liked first: Once you adjust the settings, this TV delivers a good picture especially when you're watching pure 4K content, especially on Netlfix. But there are three things about this TV surrounding the OS that need work. And hopefully they can be fixed via firmware update: 1.) The Opera app store isn't there yet. They have the basics like Netflix and Amazon Prime but not Hulu. They have VUDU which is great if you have an Ultraviolet library because you can link the two. But if you have UHD copies, you won't be able to watch them on VUDU, for some reason. Even though they support UHD, I guess they haven't provided an updated version of the app to the Opera store. 2.) The Ultra Smooth Motion option is absolutely horrible. When there is fast motion on the TV, little choppy trails are left behind. It happens a lot when you have subtitles on Netflix. And the noise reduction is horrible as well. In dark scenes, everything leaves trails that fade within less than a second but its very visible. You have to turn if off, which sucks. So you pretty much have to constantly play with the settings. 3.) The video playback needs work. You can't adjust the view of the video. The TV's ratio is 16:9 and most movies are 21:9 and the TV automatically plays videos that aren't 16:9 at 16:9 but adjusting the height. So you have to fix it every time. Sharp needs to work on their store and firmware overall. If the TV is the max of your budget, then get this TV. If you could afford $100-$200 more, shop around a little more for a TV that has a better app store.

Best Bang for your buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought my to it wasn't planned being that I had just moved for college and had went to plug in my somewhat new tv (a 2yr old Phillips 49" smart tv) only to realize the led had been damaged during the move. I was between this particular sharp and an LG. Both have amazing picture quality and both have same specs so for me it came down to price after seeing them both in store. The LG was $799.99 at the time (reg pricing) and this Sharp was on sale for $499.99 so it was a no brainer to get the Sharp. My other tv in my living room is a smaller Sharp and I've had it for at minimum 6years if not longer and it still works as good as it did the day I bought it. It you are wanting Hulu on your tv the sharp doesn't have the Hulu app but you can stream from the tv web browser or use another device like a gaming station or DVD player etc.

Great 4k TV for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV just over a week ago. For the price, this TV is excellent, picture quality is great after tweaking some of the picture settings. Only issues i have is that Sharp advertises this TV as supporting HDR (it does not!). Best Buy website specs show that it has Aquomotion 120 but did not mention that this TV is only 60hz (quite misleading). Additionally, when watching some 4k and other HD content, I've noticed excessive motion blur and also image stuttering during fast moving scenes.

Great First Big Screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our old TV finally gave out so we were more or less forced into the purchase of a new one. If this is your first 'smart tv' or 'big screen tv'; this is the perfect unit! Set up was very simple and connecting to wireless network was a breeze! It comes with some apps (Netflix) which is our main source of entertainment. Picture quality is amazing as is the sound. We did not purchase a sound bar; you may not need one depending on room size. If we get 5 years out of it, won't have a single regret!
