Lasted 17 months and died while watching TV

I purchased it in Dec 2019 and it died in April 2021 just 17 months later. The warrantee is for 12 months so it's now a useless piece of garbage. For a while the picture would go black but we would unplug it and plug it back in and it would come back to life. This time it went black while watching TV and never came back. I unplugged it overnight to reset it, and still all I get is the light indicating that it has power but no picture. I tried the Roku app and it says it cannot wake the device. It has no buttons of any kind so there is no way to physically try and turn it on. I changed the batteries in both remotes and still nothing. The red light is blinking indicating that it has power but no picture. The Visio 40" TV that this replaced is still going strong after 10 years, as is the Toshiba that I had before that. Both older flat screen TV's are still working fine. I just wanted a larger screen and what I got was a large headache. I would stay far away from this TV unless you like buying a new TV every 1.5 years. A quick internet search for "Sharp black screen" and you'll find thousands of people having the same problem. I am extremely disappointed at the poor quality and will never buy Sharp or Hisense products again. They are cheap junk!
