Good pic, BAD sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my elderly father in another city and had it delivered and installed. He loved the picture but said the sound is bad. On my next visit, I confirmed that the sound is very "tinny" and hard to hear. Unfortunately it was after the 15 days so I could not return it, but I would have if possible. I went to the local Best Buy and checked out their display model. The salesman was surprised to hear how bad the sound was on their display model as well. I see where the manufacturer saved money on this model. If you buy this model, plan on buying a soundbar as well, otherwise you will be disappointed.

Enticing But

I happen to be in Best Buy for another reason and this TV was on a door buster sale. I bought it because the price was insane and I owned a Sharp Aqous that I loved. When I hooked the TV up I immediately noticed the objects seemed pixalated. I played with the settings and got better results but I knew what real quality was and I couldn't settle long term for this television long term. you want to make it work because of the price but I think its worth spending a little more to get the quality you deserve. I was so surprised that Sharp released a televison with inferior quality that I did my research and found out the Sharp was bought by the Chinese Company Hisense. When you buy this TV you are basically purchasing a Hisense with a sharp logo. I purchased the TV yesterday and I am taking it back today for likely a Samsung model. Its so much work to demount the TV, load it in the SUV (that I had to borrow from a friend), wait in line to return the TV all to start the process over again with another TV but that is what happens when you see a deal to good to be true. - $499 for a 60 inch Ultra HD TV. Save yourself the headache and pay a little more for a better TV

Save yourself the headach don’t purchase this junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Sharp 60 and 1.5 months in here come the problems. The TV locks up and has to be unplugged every time to reset. Called bestbuy they told me you shouldn’t have purchased that tv it’s has tons of problems, I say really well your salesman told me its one of the best. so then I called sharp and they told me to reset the unit and call us back in 24hrs if it locks up again. 10 mins later after he rushed me off the phone it locked up. Called back again they set up a service call and received email and was told to send copy of receipt and then they send someone out. Days later haven’t heard anything I guess I’m stuck with this Pile save yourself the headache and money Don’t Purcase this unit!!!

Constantly unplugging and replugging
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned a $1700 Sharp from roughly 6 yrs ago and have loved it. I purchased this one and on day 13 Netflix started acting up. Freezing the whole tv and I would have to unplug and replug the tv to get it to clear. I called the customer service number and they this wasn't a known issue. After work on day 14 I checked for any issues to decide on whether or not to haul it back in to Best Buy. Everything seemed ok. Day 15 it was back to having the same issue. (on a side note, it had nothing to do with my internet connection or Netflix itself. All other devices we own were working fine). Now that I can't return it I'm continuing to have issues. I went to turn on my tv just now and got a blank screen and no functions would work. Turned it off and back on and still nothing. Unplugged and replugged and now it's working. Not exactly a convenient issue to have. I'm beyond frustrated. Best Buy's return policy adds to my frustration. 14 days does not give enough time to test out equipment.

What a waste of money

By February 2019 it starts to malfunction. Barely 18 months and it doesn't work. Network issues. Not a very smart T.V. Remote control failures. No response to the controller. Excessive buffering. A total flop. Will not buy SHARP brand again. 1 YEAR WARRANTY. Too late. Didn't get the extended. SUCKS!.

My GF got this for $499 on sale - great deal. set up was super simple, took a few mins. Plugged it in and was immediately let down. It was nowhere near the picture our old (2010 model) Samsung had. My daughter asked - in front of my GF "Daddy, why is it so fuzzy?" Actually felt bad for the GF. Going to take it back and get a smaller, better quality Samsung.

Can't bet set up with a Harmony Remote

Geek squad set it up and because it's a combo Sharp/Hisense TV (that was news to me!) and did not have a code, the Harmony remote could not be set up. So I have to use 3 remotes. Anybody using a Harmony or Universal remote with this TV?

Remote defective

Contacted best buy and they told me to either buy a protection plan or contact the manufacturer. This is really bad business. I am very disappointed and will return the TV as we only bought it last week.

Our analysis correlates this with certain third party universal remote control applications (for example, the Peel universal remote app) resident on smart phones or tablets on the same local Wi-Fi network as the television. You can resolve the issue by uninstalling the remote control applications from your smart phone or tablet. Sharp does not honor their warranty

This was happening more and more, now it's constant. If I just move the HDMI cable a bit the signal returns. Sharp will not honor the warranty because I "physically damaged the HDMI port".

Wow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every single one star review is accurate! These are no lies! SAME thing is Happening to my boyfriends tv. It says there is an update available but it won’t update. Won’t give the option. I did read all the reviews so I’ll call that number tomorrow. IF the problem gets solved after this, I will update my review. The tv is maybe a year and a half old. But rarely used!!! We have talked to sharp with no luck. Completely unhelpful. So maybe this hisense customer service will be of more help! They’re closed right now! Sharp, you KNOW this is happening. You KNOW this isn’t right! You can’t just sell crap tvs and not back it up! Please make it right! A credit towards a new tv or something! PLEASE!

Broke in less than 2 years

Beginning last week, the TV now turns off randomly, frequently and without warning, rendering it impossible to use. I will never be buying a TV from sharp or best buy ever again. Have bought multiple large TVs from Walmart without incident (Samsung and Septre).

Video and Audio not in sync

The words being spoken do not match up with whoever is speaking on the TV. The TV has a lip sync feature to fix this by delaying the audio so it will match up to the video. The only problem is that the audio is already delayed after the video, so this feature does not fix the issue. I thought that this may have been a defective TV, so I had a replacement delivered to me. It has the same problem as the first. I did a little more research and apparently Sharp TVs are notorious for having this issue. Pay a little more for a better brand, this is a horrible TV.

Worst purchase

During use the screen would go black momentarily but sound would continue so i thought it was the hdmi. It happened maybe 4 times after the second month. I bought a new hdmi cable and it happened again a couple times. Yesterday i was using the tv and the screen went black and the picture never returned. Now it wont even turn on, no sound no picture. Searched around and saw a lot of people have had a similar issue. Worst 600 dollars spent

Not our problem!!!

Then last night it died completely - no warning, just went off, stayed off, is dead! Called Best Buy this morning and was basically told by “Customer Service”, not our problem, call the manufacturer. So much for customer satisfaction.

nice tv if it worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went from a lower end brand TV to sharp thinking it was a upgrade more like a down grade always having issues with it first it would shut off random and know it updated and wont rear USB 2.0 flash drives some time it reads it but wont play nothing on it. will turn on only back light freezes all the time the TV is garbage .
