I PLACED THIS AIR HEPA SYSTEM IN A FINISHED BASEMENT, THE AIR STILL SMELLS STALE

my allergies have not improve at all , I'm not sure if this product works

We've had this for about two months and couldn't be happier! It's running 24/7 in the living room and is virtually silent. Even on the Quick Clean mode, you can barely hear it running. Some dust has been eliminated and our sever allergy attacks have been reduced. Over the weekend two different family members commented that they could tell a difference with the indoor air quality. I would certainly recommend it to anyone and one of those family members may be getting one for Christmas (shhh! ;)

I suffer from severe chronic migraines and have a very acute sense of smell that has become a major trigger. Even mild odors can have an exacerbating effect on my daily pain level. I had invested in a smaller air purifier but it didn't help very much. I decided to give this machine a whirl based on the other positive reviews. I'm happy to say it worked beautifully to clear the room (which is 14 x 34) within 20-30 minutes. If you have a ceiling fan and combine it with the use of this machine is will clear a dusty room very quickly. It's helped tremendously even in the short period of time that I have had it.. as soon as there was a change I noticed right away. I'm impressed with the easy set up and immediate results after starting the system. Thank you Sharp. We plan to purchase a second unit soon. Note: My only complaint is that you can't adjust the vent on the top of this unit but I don't feel it should reduce the rating.

Would recommend to anyone that is looking to clean the air in a medium sized room. I have this unit set up in a 14x14 room with vaulted ceilings and noticed the difference within a couple hours of use.

This is a great air purifier, you can actually tell the difference by smelling the room after 30min of cleaning. Downside is the lights are bright and filter replacement is expensive.

I bought this Sharp air purifier to get rid of the bothersome allergens that are caused by my kids' dog an two cats. I just wanted to feel better. The real bonus was that this machine also took out the cat odors that had been present in the carpet and furniture since the cats arrived. Now I'm really breathing easy!

Was able to purchase on a one day sale prior to the units selling out. Air purifier is quieter than my other units and I am well pleased with the unit so far. Filters have to be replaced and could not locate on Best Buy website. Would consider a second unit if I could purchase at a discount price.

The best thing going for it is it moves air quietly. I bought 2 of these units. Quick Clean does not work on either one. Sharps web site advertises it has 3 stage filters. A Micro mesh pre filter, A washable carbon filter ,and a hepa filter that last up to 2 years... Well the truth is you get granular carbon in a square compartments and a hepa filter.. The carbon filter does not fit its to small causing the air to flow around it and straight to the hepa filter when on low or med sitting. Thats why people are having to buy the expensive hepa filter before a year is up. Also the manual says to vacuum the carbon filter do not wash. Does nothing to absorb odor because air goes around it instead of through it like it is suppose to.A carbon fiber filter like Sharp advertises would absorb ordors and filter dust The one that comes with this unit is a joke,does neither. With the plasmacluster turn on my bananas turned Black in 2 days,don't know what thats about., NIce fan to move air around very quiet.

I have been using this Sharp Air Purifier for about two weeks running it 24/7 in my bedroom. I use the high setting during the day & low at night. I have not noticed any differences in my allergy symptoms but allergy season has started so it's difficult to tell if I would have been worse without it. Last night a skunk came by our home and the smell was terrible. The purifier was not particularly effective in removing the smell. The low setting is very quiet at night.
