Only sharp knows how to make a TV

Love Sharp. I have had sharp for the past 10 years and own 2 previous models of the Aquos series. Never will I own another TV besides SHARP

3D features is not worth it; remote ctrl too big
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.purchased and personally delivered it myself from store, however i noticed a dent on the tv top frame. i contacted bestbuy support, but they said i have to deliver it back to the store myself...but i can't, i only borrowed a truck to haul it. so they weren't cooperating about having someone taking a look at it. I don't like the remote control being too skinny long and it has no lights so it hard to see what buttons are. the 3D smart isn't worth the extra bucks. no 3D glasses came with the tv. I wish they had plex app.

Average tv with big price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this tv as an open box unit, after having for less then a couple weeks the price was reduced to 1799 for a new unit. Not so much my issue, where the my problem with the unit is that the screen gets blotchy white spots on black scenes. It's most noticeable in darker movies such as Prometheus or anything with a dark background. The picture quality is decent but somehow I think the passive 3d was much better on my LG 55" led tv then the active 3d on this tv is. For the even lower price now, it's not a bad buy. I would look to others before jumping on this one.

Nice Picture but horrible Wifi reception
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV on June 30th and still cannot connect to the internet using the WiFi on the TV. I called Panasonic for help and he told me it needed the lasted firmware update, which I did but just loaded an additional feature on the tv, it did nothing for the reception problem. It seems I am not the only one with this issue if you read the other low ratings. The picture is great, and sound are great as well as the motion control, very fast processor I just wish the WiFi would work as it should, as the Panasonic I replaced.

Very Disappointed

After having the TV less than a month, I noticed the TV became extremely dim when trying to utilize the 240hz function of the TV. I placed a service call. The authorized Sharp provider in my area was absolutely horrible--but that's another story. It has now been over a week that my TV will not even turn on and I cannot get an answer from Sharp. My case is currently "under review." I have been a loyal Sharp consumer and am absolutely disgusted with how this is being handled. This was a brand new TV that completely stopped working after one month of use. I'm hoping that I can get a refund because I feel completely ripped off. I understand this TV may look like the best "bang for the buck," but there is a reason it is less expensive than similar competitive models. You get what you pay for.

Ok for the money and size

I thought how awesome its 70 inches and can play 4k and the picture is gonna be awesome. I was very disappointed. my other tv which is a 5 years old sony bravia has a 10x better picture.I have yet to find a show on cable or a dvd that plays as clear as they say it will. Plus I can't make it select 240htz. It will only do 120 high or aquamotion 240. Now I'm not a expert on tvs but when an action seen occurs in a movie it should be clear and not blurry. With this tv even people walking are blurry. Also the words on the screen are fuzzy around the edges and the white bleeds through. I would not recommend this to anyone unless they are part blind. If i have to spend an extra $250 so geek squad can make the picture decent I will never buy a sharp tv again.

3 months old and lost pixels in the screen

We have began a claim, but this is something we were afraid of when we bought a Sharp. We've had nothing but luck with Samsung TVs and should have stayed with them. The screen did look great before this happened.

Bummer, I made the wrong choice.

When the projector bulbs started going out regularly I decided to get a new set. My choice was between moving up to a slightly larger set or spending extra cash on a smaller 4K with a better picture. I made the wrong choice and bought this set, now I wish I had gone for a better picture. I just hooked the set up a couple of hours ago and absolutely hate the blurry effect and darkness of the picture. I guess the way a person rates this set depends on what kind of picture they had on their last set. If you had a Sony you won't be satisfied with this set.

Stopped working after 1 year.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not happy because the TV stopped working after 1 year. I did by the GeekSquad 4 yr warranty. But it has been 3 weeks and still isn't fixed. Each week they call me to tell me it will here 5 days. 4 days go by and they call to say it will be another 5 days, etc.... It has become obvious that GeekSquad has no idea when the part will actually show up. Don't buy this TV and don't bother with GeekSquad warranties.

Do not Buy a Sharp TV, research the reviews
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a 70 inch sharp tv lasted a year and 2months, told by a sharp rep that it would be cheaper to buy a new tv rather then try to fix, sharp offered a refurbished tv with a warranty of 90 days. Sharp does not believe in it's own product. DO YOUR RESEARCH before buying a sharp tv. Believe the reviews

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING A SHART TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SHARP TV HAS A VERY POOR WARRANTY, IF ANYTHING HAPPENDS TO YOUR TV WITHIN THE ONE WARRANTY PERIOD, OUTSIDE OF THREE OR FOUR MONTHS THEY WILL WANT TO REPLACE YOUR TV IF IT CANNOT BE REPAIRED WITH A REFURBISHED TV NOT A NEW TV!!!!!
