The only real downside is the sound quality, but who uses the tv stock audio anymore? The other thing I noticed was that the video quality varies drastically from HD to standard. I thing that with it being such a big screen, pixels are hard to cover up. Bluray vs DVD on most tv's is marginally noticable, but with this tv Bluray beats DVD in picture quality by mountains!
