    Item arrived with a 1 1/2" dent/crease in the top of the metal case. Box, internal packing and safety seals were in perfect condition, so it was most likely shipped from the factory like this. Too much of a hassle to exchange (purchased it online and had it delivered to avoid visiting a store/shipper). Hopefully it will be reliable... Tested it @ high power for (10) minute increments (3X), boiling 4 cups of water and it funtioned properly.

    The "power down" feature is not working.

    Due to this feature not working, I am a little unsure of out to use it to microwave a number of items. I have already had a problem in using.

    Setting the Power Level on this appliance is a PITA! The Instructions that come with it are very obtuse. In fact they are pretty useless. I had to find out how to set the Power Level by researching the Answer to Questions page online. I would not have purchased this microwave if I had known this. My old Sharp Carousel was much better made and easier to use.

To set the power level on this model, press the TIME COOK pad, press number pads for the cooking time, for example 5 0 0 for 5 minutes, press POWER LEVEL pad, press number pads for power level (0-10) for example 6 for 60%.     After ten months of minimal use, the Sharp microwave fails to heat. Even more frustrating: We discovered that Best Buy does not provide the warranty support for a product that they sell. A primary reason to locally purchase a shelf-item is returning for a return/exchange while it's still within warranty.

    This product was purchased for an apartment. It seems to have all the required features that I was looking for. A carousel was a feature That I love and use a lot. Not a bad deal at all.

    Purchased this product because we had the larger version and it was a good product for 5 or 6 years until the keypad no longer worked. Didn’t try using it when it arrived - which was a mistake. Didn’t have to use it until 3 days later. Thinking it would work just fine, I had recycled the boxes it came in - another mistake. Went to use the microwave and the keypad did not work! This was right out of the box and it didn’t work! Ridiculous! Since I no longer had the box to return it to Best Buy, I placed it out by the curb and someone picked it up w/in the hour. To me it was just too much of a problem trying to return it. Plus I had my partner in the hospital and didn’t have the energy to deal with the microwave. Do not purchase this product unless you don’t need the keypad.

    Broke the second day

    The light stopped working when you open the door. It does work when the oven is on, just not when you open the door. Need a flashlight to see inside to clean properly. Not worth the time to take to a repair shop. Don't want to be without a microwave for long.

    Bought this microwave to replace an older, similar Sharp microwave. I guess I should have looked at the reviews first, because our model quit working after less than 3 months. Guess I should have bought the Best Buy extended warranty, also, because they refused to do anything for me and directed me to call Sharp. Sharp said that they "are not aware of any specific issues with this microwave." They said this unit is not reparable and they offered to send me a replacement and discard the old unit.
