It has the functions I like, such as defrost, popcorn, timer, express cook as well as other settings. No annoying reminder beeps like the previous microwave we had.

It works OK, but is noisy - popping noises while its cooking. No I did not have any metal in the microwave. It is not made as well as the older one. But it is pretty with the black stainless. It does what I need it to do.
