I changed brands and find the numbers easier to read, door handle is more convenient than pushing a big tab, and the non-mirror door allows me to view what's inside.

It makes a load grinding noise after three weeks use.

I have used this microwave for several weeks now, and I'm very happy with it. My older Sharp was more powerful (1200 watts) and larger, and more expensive. I used it for 10 years or so quite happily. This time I opted for a smaller footprint and less power (1,000 watts) and about the only difference between the two was the Cu. Ft which was 1.6 originally (as opposed to now, 1.4) and allowed for a dinner plate to turn inside the gadget, which now requires a smaller flat plate, and the price which was substantial. It is simpler, in some ways, and for someone who cooks as much as I do (almost daily) this smaller machine does almost exactly what I need at a half the price without giving up hardly anything on its performance. I highly recommend it.

Feels weird mentioning this, but be careful removing that yellow sticker on the input panel of the microwave. It does not come off cleanly, and if you try to scrape it the clear protective layer on top of it comes off too. Given how securely the clear layer is adhered to the panel, I'm assuming it's meant to be a permanent part rather than just something for shipping. As far as the microwave itself, it is very powerful, just the right size, and looks good. Quieter and faster to heat things up than our 25-year old Panasonic which finally bit the dust. Hopefully this lasts at least half as long as that, as the newer Panasonics don't seem to be anywhere as well-built.

Appearance is sleek, light bulb is a bright led type making messes easier to see and clean. The food is heated appropriately when using the quick options such as, frozen vegetables or defrosting meats. Overall very happy with the microwave and its affordability.

I had a sharp carousel microwave for over 20 years and had to purchase another one because it finally stopped working. I love the look of this new one and hopefully it will last as long as the other one!

Great microwave. It fit the space that was built into the cabinet perfectly plus it modernized the look. Had an old microwave in its space initially. Would recommend this product.

This microwave has worked well. It heats things reliably and generally doesn’t leave cold spots. I have owned it for about two years now. The buttons have been peeling off and the display began malfunctioning about 6 months ago (I was amused when it started displaying “POP”).

After my Sharp Microwave of 20 years gave up, I wanted one as similar to the old one as possible. The Carousel 1.4 is very close. it works well, easy to use, and I like the looks of the silver and black.

Replacement for a 0.9cuFt microwave. Positives: Like the pull handle instead of push button to open. More power, brighter digital display. Negative: Purchased same microwave for senior center where I work. My unit has a workmanship problem - upon starting the unit, there is a buzz in addition to the expected hum. I can eliminate the buzz by putting microwave on its side (removing turntable first!) and starting up unit. Implication is that something is not screwed down tight, or a cable is not harnessed correctly and is vibrating. I'm keeping this unit, consider the buzz an annoyance, not a show-stopper. Would have given better rating if it did not buzz (like the one at work)

This microwave is wonderful! The ease of operation is most welcoming. Then adding the 1100 watts makes cooking a smooth operation. Love this microwave.

This replaces another Sharp. I prefer the older model as far as the buttons and options. This one is more complicated. This one is a bit smaller and more attractive, but, If I could choose I would choose my older model.

Heats up food fast and and is easy to clean too, would definitely recommend

I have had this microwave for two years now and it has worked great until now. It suddenly started making a loud sound resembling popping popcorn when I try to heat something up. I researched this on the internet and it seems the magnetron may be going out in it. I'm sure that will cost more to fix than buying a new one. A little frustrating considering the microwave we had before this one lasted well over ten years. Also I hate the door on this thing. If you don't use two hands to open it you'll pull it off the counter. I'm pretty sure we just got one that doesn't represent what to expect from Sharp. There is always going to be a few bad ones.

Last Sharp MW lasted nearly 20 years. This one works well enough but shows fingerprints/smudges on the control panel easily, and we’re not clean freaks. The oven isn’t even 4 months old and wear/scratches are showing on the button overlay which seems to be a very soft plastic. We’re using a small microfiber cloth to press the buttons to avoid smudging and wearing of the control panel. The door pulls entire oven before opening as another poster commented. Even if the power generator lasts I expect the exterior will look shabby after a while.

I bought this exact model microwave 5 years ago. It is still working fine. I use it regularly, several times a week, though I definitely used to use it more when the family was bigger. It's a great size for my microwave cart. The only thing I would change is that I wish it had a push button door instead of a pull open handle. Also the current price is comparable to what I paid.

Is a good microwave. According to its price. Enough power for everyday use. Hits up the meals evenly. I will recommend it.

My previous microwave was a SHARP and that lasted about 10 years, so I figured why change now. Looks great with black and grey color. Light stays on while door is open. Has good amount of power. Bottom line, it's a great microwave!

Very sleek looking, perfect in size and power for my needs. Black stainless steal do NOT show finger prints at all. I was very skeptical of the non-white interior at first, quickly adjusted and now I love the grey color and will not want to go back to all white again. I just wish it had a "softening" option like my old one. Very happy with my purchase.

Bought this to replace my Carousel that had lasted 15 years. Love the fact that you can set the exact amount of time you want. Overall, very easy to operate and love the way it looks. Highly recommend!
