    It Came Broken!

    It came broken. The door was sitting crooked and when I turned it on the clock worked and it would count down but did not actually work! Bought it while it was on sale so that when I moved I had it but when I moved and opened it they wouldn't exchange because it was past the 15 days. Most companies have a 30 to 60 day return policy but not them!

    Loud and didn’t last. Warmed well when it did work

    After 2.5 years, this microwave quit in a flashy loud final show. There was a pop sound then it began a mechanical groan with sparks flying behind the “waveguide cover” (yes I just learned that term 5 seconds ago after a quick Google search). I stopped it, and saw smoke coming from behind there also and of course smelled the burning smell too. While this microwave did work, it warmed food well but was absurdly loud compared to most other microwaves I’ve used. I really don’t know what to recommend as far as microwaves because before this one I had one that was almost twice the price of this one and it didn’t last either. Maybe 4 years on that one. I definitely can’t recommend this one though.

    Don't Count on the Light or Support from Sharp

    My elderly parents bought this Microwave last December and I recently found out that the internal light went out within 2 months of purchase. When my Dad called Sharp's Customer Service to see if it was covered - He was told that the light bulb was not covered under that manufacturers warranty and that they could take it to be repaired for $59.95 + Tax (Bulb + Labor) - **2 months** Unfortunately they did not purchase the Best Buy warranty. Whether it is a bulb or other issues - I would be concerned with purchasing any Sharp products - Obviously they do not stand behind their products

    Light bulb and door latch are poor

    I had a different Sharp microwave model for 18 years, which worked well until the digital display eventually failed. This SMC1452CH model’s light bulb stopped working after only 3 months and the door is so hard to pull open that everyone complains about using it. A push button to release the door would be much better. It still microwaves food, but I would not recommend purchasing this model.

    Inferior Quality Microwave

    Very unhappy with this product. I paid $169.00 for this microwave and have had it for 10 months and it is already falling apart. The company won't fix it because they said the part is not covered under warranty. The door handle is broken and now it looks terrible. Very disappointed!

    I purchased this microwave approximately 2 years ago, it worked fine at first, then took longer to heat. Now it makes a grinding sound when operating so i have discontinued using it. I would have thought it would last at least 2 years for what it cost

    Cheap turntable makes so much noise that the product is unusable. Heats food adequately. Looks good. Will be returning.

    Do not buy this model!

    Bought this microwave a few years ago. No complaints about how it works but bulb burnt out and cannot be replaced. Now I have to throw it away, bulb is not available anywhere local or online. A big disappointment and will not ever buy a Sharp appliance. Cannot believe this model is srill being sold with a faulty and unrelacable bulb.

    Not Great

    Bought this specifically for Sensor Reheat which isn't great. It heats everything up to nuclear hot and dried out. Otherwise, it's a generic microwave where the food is super hot on the outside and ice cold in the middle. I'll never buy anything by Sharp ever again.

    Not long lasting

    Worked fine until June 2024 when the inverter started sparking. I think appliances should last longer than this, especially for the price.

    Dangerous

    After 1 month the oven has a direct short. It trips the breaker if you plug it in. It also ruined a gfci.
