Never knew much about Shazam until I saw this film. Turns out he's funny without being too hokey, and has a group of amusing sidekicks that come with him. Looking forward to the sequel.

I have been waiting for this movie to hit movies for years ever since I heard this movie was coming for like 2yrs. I was one of the first to see this movie on early release Thursday and I was happy it didn't disappoint because its hilarious and it has everything from humor to a great story to being a great origin story I just wished they talked more about the ancient wizard Shazam

I was not impressed, but it was good to those that didn't watch the CBS broadcast of the show while growing up. It had its feel-good moments but too comical for my idea of the superhero.

This refreshingly delightful, lighthearted entry in the DC Extended Universe has enough charm for the whole family thanks to standout performances, broad humor, and positive messages. A nicely matched Asher Angel and Zachary Levi together play a superhero who has been taken out of mothballs with humor and fine performances. Overall, a nice and humorous addition to the DC Universe!

This movie based on the DC comic is something everyone can enjoy. Witness the birth of DC's newest hero. See how young Billy Batson becomes becomes one of the most powerful heroes in the DC universe as he faces off against one of his greatest foes Dr. Sivana. This movie also shows what it means to be part of a family. This is a fun movie that children of all ages, and comic book fans alike, will enjoy.

I don't expect a lot from DC films, especially after the disappointments of Batman V Superman and the Justice League. But boy was this movie a breath of fresh air in the DCEU. The action was great, the humor was on point and never once felt forced and Zachary Levi's take on the Shazam character brought the comic book story to a funny, much welcomed and new hight. I can't wait for the sequel.

Loved this movie. But it could have used a "do not try this at home" disclaimer at the start of the movie. After watching this movie I became so excited and energized that I had my friends throw large rocks at me while I was on fire jumping from my roof. I am now in traction with 8 weeks of PT ahead of me. But I am still giggling at this movie. Your phone is charged.....your phone is charged...... Good stuff. I would have given 5 stars.....except for the dislocated vertebrae.

A nice comedic telling of the “Shazam” origin. Good performance by Levi (who kinda reminded me of a younger Tom Hanks) and great scene chewing by Strong. Worth the watch.

This was a very pleasant surprise when I saw it. It seemed like no movies could do what Wonder Woman did for the DCEU, but Zachary Levi really delivered a fun movie well worth the watch. Lots of action too, don't let the fact that it mostly stars kids deter you, the story is good and the acting is great.

The movie wasn't super great but it wasn't that bad either. It had a good message regarding foster kids and the concept of the word family. It was an okay movie overall.

When very young Billy was abandoned by his mother and has since been in and out of foster homes not really settling, as all he wanted was to find his mum again, however, now 14 years of age Billy Batson ( Asher Angel )is placed in foster care with 4 other children in a home run by Victor and Ros but finds it difficult at first to settle in even though Freddy(Jack Dylan Grazer) a super-hero fanatic who he shares a room with, does everything to make Billy feel welcome.

Good movie for the younger crown. Not as exciting as Thor, Ironman, Hulk and others but interesting character. Movie had a couple surprises to pull off a good ending.

This is a very entertaining movie. Our kids love watching this one over and over again. It would be very stupid for this one not to have a sequel, children need a light hearted superhero movie that they can relate to. All of the older kids and adults enjoy this one also! There are a lot of hilarious parts that gets the whole family laughing.

Not as good as I hoped, but still better than some other superhero movies. The 3D was disappointing. I should have just bought the regular and saved a few dollars.

A lot of really game, young actors in this one. Well shot and lots of humor. I really wish that Hollywood, and its copycat mentality had not felt the need to graft the Peter Parker experience onto Captain Marv.... er Shazam. The DC heroes are very different than their Marvel counterparts Granted the comicbook character was gonna be a tricky one to adapt for the big screen, but it's a bad sign when the cheesy 1970's children's tv version was a more faithful adaptation!

Movie looks great in 4K,,,it's a fun diversion, cast is good. Its a nice throwback to that 80's feel but ultimately middle of the road. Recommending as a rental..

Fantastic movie, that is great for the family. It has plenty of action and is very humorous. The story of Shazam is a good one & Zach plays a great superhero in this one. There is some swearing, so unfortunately the young ones may have to take a pass on it..overall it’s a favorite in our household, hoping they’ll make second movie.

Great movie that moves the DCEU forward while honoring what had already transpired. While other movies and directors like to pretend Man of Steel and BvS never happened this movie celebrates those moments while reaching a broader audience. Def a family movie with a mix of both kid friendly sequences and darker adult themes sprinkled in.

This is a good family flick. Action, drama, comedy, everything for some good entertainment. My son really enjoyed Shazam. Now he won't stop watching it lol.

While the darker Snyder DC films are the best, this is, still, outstanding and DARK! While it's funny and super light hearted at times, it, nevertheless, has a huge undertone of darkness and sadness. If you want something deeper and more profound than Marvel films, then this current DC universe is for you! The steelbook itself is gorgeous!
