Shazam! and Aquaman are definitely going in the right direction with these films. Batman Vs Superman and Justice League being hyper disappointments and Wonder Woman being awesome its hard to tell where the future of these franchises will go but for the meantime start with Shazam! and go onto Aquaman at least until the new Wonder Woman comes out.

The movie is OK if you got time to kill. Not a really difficult plot to follow and the acting decent for a group of kids. True DC fans will like this movie.

Funny superhero movie for a comedy with some action. Zachary Levi did a good job of acting like a teenage boy in a grown man's body with has attitude and learning his powers even though the Wisdom of Solomon should've been used more. Not a fan of this Shazam shooting lightning from his fingers. The original comic & TV version never did because he is the World's Mightiest Mortal, not Magician. Didn't care for Freddy Freeman having to tell Billy how to use his powers instead of him learning them or the that the powers were shared with 3 other kids instead of just Freddy and Mary. The more the merrier does NOT work for this story line. Catching the bus instantly would've caused the passengers to fly through the front window. I really like Mark Strong, but Dr. Sivana never has super-strength. He's an evil scientist, but for some action scenes it works OK. Overall, it's funny and light-hearted for a superhero movie. It is worth paying bargain price, but not full price. The New 52 comic version should not have been used for source material giving him a lit-up chest logo and lightning from his fingertips. Wish the writers used some earlier comics for source material instead.

Not very impress with this movie. Dc needs- to there game. Acting was very low key. Could have a better storyline. Was definitely a movie for the kids.

Missed this movie while in theaters but I had friends see it & they were really satisfied with it. Fortunately Best Buy's Black Friday sale had this movie for a great price and since I was replacing all my Blu-ray comic book movies to 4K versions, I was ecstatic to add to my collection. Movie was/is a real good one & Levy was PERFECT for the role!

This movie was okay good for the kids all right for adults

I was so surprised by how much fun I had in this film. By no means perfect, but it's gleefully self aware, and never takes itself too seriously. The characters are relatable and charming, and it's very easy to lose yourself in the story, humor, and heart. The steel looks great- simple, to the point, but just as appropriately flashy as need be.

Fannof the original Saturday mornings and avid comic book collector, this was not it at all. But, it had its moments. The extras on it are average.

The Shazam! 4K release has a 2160p transfer and HDR color grading. The Dolby Atmos track included sounds great and everything you would want in movie about a Superhero. In addition the film also has a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. There are some extras as well like Deleted scenes, making of feature and more. The film itself is a nice coming of age story mixed with a Superhero drama. One of the more unique characters in DC'S lineup of films.

As a rabid Marvel and DC fanboy, it was nice to finally see DC make a film that had heart, humor, and spectacle. It was nice to finally watch a film with that coveted DC banner and when the credits rolled say, "Heck yeah." Shazam! is a great family for the whole family. It's "Big" meets "Superman". And who doesn't love that premise?

Well, not really. But, it's still a pretty good attempt by DC. Honestly, the supporting characters provided the heart and soul to this movie.

My husband and I are not exactly fans of the comic book / super hero genre but, this film was a total surprise. Actually, the trailer for it on another disc looked pretty good, so we took a chance. Glad we did! Humor, action, emotion and a lot of heart. Highly recommend to both super hero fans and non-fans alike.

There are a few places where I thought about hiding our daughters eyes and covering her ears, but I'd say this is probably fine for most 7+ age kids. I don't recall the actor's name off hand, but he played the part brilliantly. As many kids movies are these days, there is also a lot of humor that adults will catch and kids will not.

Shazam! is a different type of movie compared to all the current superheroes that is now being represented. This will bring back the light hearted feeling and laughter from your child hood memories of the character. The 4K video quality and Dolby Atmos audio will drive your home theater to its full potential. A worthy purchase.

I really didn't know what to expect from this film. DC does seem to do better with their standalone movies and liked the twist and turns of this film. I did like that they showed a family dynamic, both good and bad. The relationships between the characters were believable and am looking forward to a sequel if they do one.

I remember the original Saturday Morning show SHAZAM! This is definitely not it but that is a good thing. The DCEU has had some hits and misses as it tries to keep up with the billion dollar juggernaut that is Marvel and this movie is a great addition to the fold. There are a few scary scenes in the beginning for young kids so be warned but once you get past that the whole family can enjoy this movie

After watching the 3D version. It was fine. Nothing stood out and really wasn't needed. Compared to Alita, actually there is no comparison.

Shazam is an extremely fun ride where DC movies have got off their usual track and come up with a superhero who is not just mighty and powerful but also funny, practical and close to reality. The movie also deals with love and family which fall right into place. Overall, we are offered a very entertaining and interesting ride.

I can’t believe it took DC this long to figure out the formula for success that has allowed Marvel to dominate. It is all about the humor. Zachary Levi is a charismatic star in any medium and makes this film beyond the clever writing and usual good special effects. It turns into an effective story with some heart.

Wasn’t the best superhero movie but then again wasn’t the worst either. Had potential to be so much better. 3D was pretty good though.
