What a fun ride! I'm sorry, but Marvel is still doing a better job. Deadpool nails the comedy/action better. However, this is really fun and I hope DC learns, incorporating this type of comedy into their larger universe rather than being so freakin' dark. If they lose Henry Cavill, I have little hope for the larger DC universe, but that remains to be seen.

Overall, it was pretty fun, but seemed confused in its tone. At times, it was a campy, humorous film, then turned around and got pretty dark at others. It couldn't quite figure out who its audience was. Despite these, there was some great moments that contributed to a fun film overall. And honestly, I just like Mark Strong. He's always a fantastic bad guy.

The first superhero film in quite some time that actually is fun, light-hearted, and moral. Enjoyable from beginning to end. There is a plot that is character driven. The story is accentuated by CGI, not dependent on it. So, if you are looking for a film that will make you think and feel, not just drag you from explosion to explosion, give this film a try.

DC's Captain Marvel... aka SHAZAM is a hard character to do right. You have a teen boy in an adult body with powers he is not ready for. Thankfully Zachary Levi (from Chuck) fits the role perfectly. It is fun. It is good for adults and children. It is FUN! And it is well done.

I bought this for my brother because he wanted to see it. He says he loves it so I’m just going by what he says.

This refreshingly action packed story of the wonderful DC Universe! What more can you want!? An amazing entry in the 4k Library that has enough action for the whole family thanks to standout performances, broad humor, and explosion, and wonderful 4k scanning. I highly recommend this movie if you are looking to add a new 4K blu ray to your collection

Shazam! Does it right when it comes to taking on a movie that has some serious tones, but being appropriate for kids to watch. Sure, there’s demons, child abandonment, moderate abuse, but it’s still charming. Zachary Levi is awesome, and he’s finally getting his due credit.

Shazam! on 4K Blu-ray is a very good deal. Good Movie. I also have the Second Movie on 4K Blu-ray.

The dc version of Captain Marvel, Shazam! is a powerful moving movie about discovering who your real family is, with plenty of funny superhero hijinks thrown in. One of the best dc films of the year that in my opinion stand alongside such greats as Wonder Woman and Aquaman.

This is a fun way to spend 2 hrs of your time. Shazam! wears its heart on its sleeve, and it can be really enjoyable. Zachary Levi and Jack Dylan Grazer are great together. But at least 20 mins could have been cut from the movie (specifically, the hero/villain fights tend to get a bit tedious), and it would not have suffered. Still, a good movie!

DC finally got a Fawcett Comic Character to life with the amazing star of CHUCK! Who got peanut butter in my chocolate? Captain Marvell as he once was named is back now as simply SHAZAM! Not KAZAM! Light on the deep and long history retold with kids from that 2018!

This is a nice, low-key, old-fashioned superhero movie with a solid script and great performances from all the actors. Sivana was a bit bland and mediocre as a villain, which was a disappointment seeing as he's a great, creepy little mad scientist character in the comics. You could tell his character was originally written to be Black Adam.

I recently picked up Shazam & it's such a great movie, the way they blend kid & adult humor is terrific. The story & action sequences are great. Don't forget to watch the scenes during & after the end credits. I definitely recommend getting this film as it's a keeper.

Yes—it's the superhero version of "Big" but don't let that get in the way of the fun. This is just a fun movie from beginning to end. Except for one really big and funny mistake, my daughter and I were screaming, "Shazam!" by the end of the movie. Goos fun. A big of caution on some of the dialog. My youngest (6) kept pointing out the "bad words."

First off I have to confess that I was pleasantly surprised to see that the movie was actually good! I like Captain Marvel as a character in the comics I just was worried about how DC would transfer his persona over to the big screen. Thankfully they didn't do to bad of a job. Hope they can keep it up though with the other projects set to release.

This was an awesome movie and a great Steelbook to add to my collection. I buy all the super-hero movie Steelbook releases. I love the Best Buy steelbooks. This was a must have!!! I give the movie and the steelbook five stars. Blu-psycho says buy it! You won't regret it!

Though DC movies have been known for disappointing,..I tried to go into the movies with no expectations, despite movie critics saying it was a truly good movie. After seeing the movie,..I think they might have had low expectations due to the aforementioned disappointing history of said movies,..and were surprised that it was not a bad movie, and may have been more favorable than need be. From my perspective, no sucking is not the measure of a movie, or anything. Overall, I thought it was a decent movie. It was not great. It just needed a "tighter" and more focused story line for the protagonist, which he, most of the movie seemed to be a bit self centered in approach to life. Billy Batson is suppose to have been chosen for his powers because he was pure of heart, and self less, despite the curve balls life had thrown him. The protagonist in this movie, for the most part, was not self centers, or altruistic. Nevertheless, the movie is worth watching,...on cable.

For the Steelbook, I like the cover art. It's vibrant and striking. The film itself is fun diversion. The cast is good. I have never been a great fan of the Shazam/Captain Marvel character but from what I do know this is a pretty good way to introduce him cinematically. It's a little bit deadpool (less ultrviolence, crudeness) in its irreverence.

I was not sure what to expect from this film. I followed Shazam as a kid, (He was Captain Marvel then, and the fact that a kid could become a great super hero was very cool. The movie did not follow the comics 100%, but which movie does, but it did get the spirit of the comics and it was an enjoyable ride. Well worth the look if you enjoy comics.

This is a great movie about a lesser known superhero. Plenty of action, humor, and fun. But the best part of this movie is what it says about family. It has a few scary parts for really young kids but older ones should be ok. Great to watch and talk about as a family.
