Entertaining movie great picture and sound would recommend really good buy

I really enjoyed this movie. It's funny, a little dark at times, but has plenty of heart. Special features include 37 minutes of deleted/alternate scenes, a few behind the scenes/making of featurettes. Definitely worth picking up.

This is a fun and enjoyable film that does the character and idea of Shazam justice. The performances and action sequences are well done and another good step forward for the DCEU film series and I'm looking forward to a sequel.

Finally the story of Shazam, or as I like to call him, Captain Marvel, is brought from the comics to live action. Funny, heartwarming and action packed. Highly recommended movie and steel book packaging. DC Comics has a winner.

If you're watched a number of the most recent movies based on the characters of DC comics, you'll notice that they tend to be a lot darker and more "serious" than what'd you see from their main competitors over at Marvel. While it's always nice to have some variety, after a while it gets a bit tiring. Thankfully, Shazam is here to show that, hey, we can have some fun here, too! This is by far my favorite DC movie, with a good blend of humor and some really dark and occasionally scary moments that never leave a dull moment. To give a quick rundown, the movie is about Billy Batson, a teenage boy struggling with settling into a foster family. He soon meets a strange wizard who gives him the power to become the fully-grown hero, Shazam! While enjoying the new life of super-powers and local popularity, a sinister force works in the background, gathering a bunch of evil monsters called the Seven Deadly Sins to wreak havoc on the world. Battles ensue, the day is obviously won, and the seeds for a sequel are planted; all the usual stuff one can expect from a modern superhero movie. The overall feel is one of some lost 80s flick with its focus on kid characters and surprisingly dark moments. Believe me, the trailers make this out to be a full-on comedy, and while there's plenty of funny moments, it's not afraid to get really intense and violent. Definitely something to keep in mind if you're looking for something to show really young kids; it's rated PG-13 for a reason. So if you haven't gotten around to checking out this movie, give it a watch. It's a good time, and might be a nice way to settle down after watching four hours of the Justice League Snyder Cut.

This was so much fun, and very entertaining. Those are two major qualities I look for when I go to comic book movies. Casting was great. Chemistry was great. This was one of my favorite DC movies to have come out as of recent.

This was a surprisingly good movie. I didn't buy it when it came out, but decided to give it a chance since it was on sale. It turned out to be an entertaining movie. Now I'll have to buy the second one. The digital code didn't work. It was expired, but I've purchased plenty of other movies that had codes that were also expired and I was still able to redeem the digital for those. For this reason, I gave a three star rating instead of five.

A perfect blend of humor and action, Shazam will not disappoint! A fantastic story, along with a menacing villain, as well as a satisfying ending, this is a must watch for anyone who was a fan of Big, or any superhero movies!

Billy Batson gets an update for this century (especially if you remember him as the original Captain Marvel) while retaining the comic whimsy his adventures made famous. The way he adjusts to having power and having a new family is both funny and heartfelt. Plus the action scenes are amazing.

I honestly didn't have any real high hopes for this movie, not seeing any reviews, but to my surprise it was actually not bad. Previews I've seen made it out to be fairly cheesy and all kid like, but the movie was actually pretty funny so I'll give it 3.5 stars for humor. Good family movie.

I really enjoyed this movie! It's a lighter super hero movie compared to the Avengers. (then again, what isn't?) The acting was very good, the special effects were good and the story was your typical super hero movie plot.

I’d actually call this a 3.5 star review. It’s still a better movie than Batman v Superman. Zach Levi did a good trying to act like a teenager getting super powers and how they might react. It sets up another film but not exactly its place in the DC universe in spite of the cameo.

Movie is great. From a product perspective the 4K/Blu-Ray we’re new as expected. Only drawback was that Digital Code was expired. Oh well.

One of my fav films of this yr so far and my fav part of the special features is the amount of deleted scenes that are included, so many. Also the steelbook is very nice and i highly recommend it for any steelbook collector.

This movie was a good attempt at adapting this classic hero onto the big screen. Even though the film was basic and subpar acting, Zachary Levi carried the film helping it be enjoyable. There are references for those that are fans of the film and will enjoy it if they like the hero

Shazam is a fun superhero movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Zachary Levi is great as well as all the kids especially the one playing Freddy those two had a great onscreen chemistry. I highly recommend this movie

Heard good things about this movie, bought it on a whim. Did not regret it, this is such a cute and funny film! I haven’t even gotten to the special features quite yet, but I’m proud to own such a great film, in 4K no less!

Fun and done right. Usual DC dark and slightly less impactful is no where to be found here. Knew the subject okay, but really enjoyed this take. Some younger could be frightened by some images, but most will be okay.

If you love the original Shazam comic book character then you will love this movie. The acting in this movie was great and the action is out of this world. If your looking for a movie that had it all then look no further.
