Great work headset
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love these, they were a little pricey but they were worth it. I have. Been looking for months for wireless voice isolation headphones for work and these are the best ones I've found so far. The only thing I am not liking is when I am in meetings and I mute my myself I hear a loud beep every 5-10 seconds which becomes very annoying, but I'm hoping once I read the user manual it shows me how to remove that feature. Other than that they are great and lightweight, I would highly recommend!

Is great for telecom workers
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product very light great on talking sound as long as you don't move your head. When you move your head around and talking when they are not connected to your temples the sound goes in-and-out. If the vibration was given me kind of headaches but different people might have different features sized heads and all that stuff. Is great for people who work at home just not for music.

Excellent choice for people that work. All 5 of us
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The versatility of these headphones is outstanding. I can hear ambient sounds when necessary, or put in earplugs and use them in a noisy environment, and phone calls work in either situation. No problems with the speaker plugging up, and no problem with metal shavings sticking to magnets. I love them, even if the sound quality isn't the best. Battery life is fantastic. Excellent choice for those of us who work for a living. The rest of you can take a hike anyway, we don't care what you like.

24 inch charging cable "Really"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset is fairly good, but all that is great is lost by the fact that the unit comes with a 24" magnetic charging cable which makes it too short to sit the unit anywhere other than on the floor when charging. A single charge will last throughout the day, but the fact that the cable is so short and the company does not offer an extension or a longer charge cable make me believe I'll be looking for an alternative.

Good Battery and Charge Time
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the device for being in contact with my surrounding. Primary use is for listening to Audible Books. This model works great, as does the one without the mic extension for audible. The gap between AfterShotz and the other manufacturers of Bone ConductionHeadsets makes AfterShotz an easy decision. Don't short-change yourself by buying another brand. You will likely regret the decision.

Very nice headset

Shocked about Shokz
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Voice quality (hearing other people) is excellent. The head straps should be adjustable so maybe it can fit over someone’s hair.

I don't get frightened by unexpected stuff anymore
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a super jumpy person, so I get frightened when someone approaches me if I can't hear them through closed-ear headphones or earbuds. These conducting headphones are really great for listening to music while keeping your hearing open to surrounding sounds. I find that listening to speech-only media, such as audiobooks, is a bit less rich and needs to be equalized, but music (especially instrumental piano!) sounds great on these.

FINALLY FOUND ONE!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking for a Bluetooth headset with an option of a longer microphone. I teach fitness to Active Older Adults. More of my classes have now been virtual classes rather than in person. I like the feel of the headset and how I can switch from my phone to laptop with ease. The sound quality is great for the individuals and speaker. I like that the headset had two microphones in the microphone. Some of the background noise was hard to hear. I am deaf on my left side, that was a challenge.

Great product BUT mic gain is too low to be heard
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the non-mic version (Areoplex) for about a 6plus months and it they are absolutely awesome (see my other review). They are great for taking calls, listening to podcasts, and roaming around the office all while having situational awareness. I use my Areoplex more than all my bluetooth buds or headsets including my AirpPod Pros. They are good for music during the day if you're concentrating on something else and not focusing on the music (like background music). Music is not a strong suit of AfterShokz and individuals looking to immerse themselves in music should look elsewhere. The Areoplex is designed for situational awareness and unbeatable for applications involving running, biking (no vortex wind noise like other buds), walking, hiking, walking around the house, mall, office, etc. When I heard AFterShokz came out with a version with a boom mic I was very eager to purchase. So, after using the OpenComm for a week now, they are much the same, however (and a big however) the mic gain is not loud enough for people to hear me even in a quiet environment. Individuals (on conference calls especially) keep telling me they can't hear me. They hear me fine when I cup my hand around the mic, but that makes me sound like I'm in a cave and defeats the purpose. I guess I could talk very loudly, but after ten minutes of that, I would loose my voice. The sound cancellation, however, is extremely good and perhaps that's why it struggles to carry your voice at a level that people can hear. I would rate this product 10 out of 5 stars if the mic gain was greater, or better yet adjustable. I would also change the button color from bright orange to a more business looking gray or black. You can't see the buttons (assuming they are orange to better find them) when you're wearing it, so what's the point. I do like the raised buttons over the Aeroplex model as the Aeroplex is very difficult to feel and distinguish the buttons (almost a deal breaker but bearable). I wish the multi function button was larger and easier to find/press on both models as I sometimes miss taking calls because I can't find the button to answer. The OpenComm's volume buttons are much easier to find however. The OpenComm model seems to be a bit smaller and fit better on me than the Aeroplex. I've seen some complaints about AfterShokz only including one proprietary charging cable (the Areoplex comes with two). What people don't realize is that the OpenComm includes a very nice fitted case that the Aeroplex doesnt include which might explain why both models cost the same. Since this is a business device for the most part, I would suggest AfterShokz include a more critical business item like the extra cable than the case. Perhaps have the case as a separate offer or up the price $10 or $20 and include the extra cable. So, with all this said, as much as I like my Areoplex, I am sadly returning the OpenComms because of the low mic gain. This is a deal breaker for me. Unless you a.) have a really loud voice, b.) not in an environment that you have to speak low (i.e. discussing private or sensitive information), c.) not in an office environment where people get annoyed at loud talkers (you know the type) - I would wait until AfterShokz fixes this issue. I don't think this is a firmware fix so you might be waiting awhile for the 2.0 version. Note: If you're a healthcare provider under HIPAA Privacy laws and regularly have phone calls mentioning protected health information (PHI) (i.e. Doctors reception desk), I would hesitate to purchase these. Individuals in Human Resources or Finance departments where phone privacy is require, may want to look at other products options as well.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a utility worker this headset allows me to take calls and communicate clearly while keeping my hands free while working from my bucket truck. Great sound quality on calls and is usable for media but don’t expect to be blown away by music quality. Noise cancelling boom mic works well to dampen traffic and other ambient noises.
