Changed my life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay i was happy wirh my Samsung buds, but i was soop tired of that wax and sweat build up ajd gross feeling, not to mention the isolation from outside. I barely listen to music, my main use is calls and podcasts/YouTube. And this product is perfect for that. I leave them on and forget about it. So comfortable. I sleep with something playing in my ears and i woke up to 80% battery. They dont die just by being out of case, like my pixel buds. Also the transition between two devices is apple level good. I can pause media on one device and hit play on other, and it switches instantly. Im actually very satisfied. Music is also not too bad.

Posted .Hi there- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear this has been your experience.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the touch control issues:
1. Check for Firmware Updates: Connect your OpenDots ONE earbuds to the Shokz App and check for any available firmware updates. Keeping your earbuds updated can resolve performance issues, including touch control problems.
2. Customize Touch Controls: Within the Shokz App, you can customize the touch control settings. Consider disabling the single-finger tap feature, especially if you find it leads to accidental touches, and try using the two-finger pinch for better accuracy when controlling music or calls.
3. Perform a Hard Reset: If the touch controls become unresponsive after a firmware update or other reasons, a hard reset may resolve the issue.
If the issue persists, we have a two-year warranty on all Shokz, we'd be happy to assist you in filing a warranty claim so you can receive a replacement pair! Please contact our Customer Happiness Team so we can assist you further or visit our website directly to submit a warranty claim. Thank you!

More than I expected
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are a different type of earbud than what I'm used to and their performance really surprised me. One of the problems I often have with earbuds is that they can get quite uncomfortable after extended use. The design of these earbuds practically removes that issue altogether. Shokz headphones are known for the bone-conducting style. I have a different set from Shokz, but never found them particularly effective when it comes to bass. These earbuds don't go completely into the ear canal, so I expected similar response. But these earbuds actually carry some good bass - at least much better than one would expect considering they're sitting just on the outside of the ear canal instead of inside it. The form of the earbuds clip on the rib of your ear, which is far more comfortable. The grip is strong - but not too strong, and I can move around quite vigorously without getting any shift whatsoever. Volume-wise, I don't find these buds too loud. Indeed, at full volume, I can't hear people around me; but if I put them at a more mid-level volume, I can hear others very clearly...and this is key when you don't want to drown own the world around you. The case is pretty basic. It's small, has wireless charging and the buds just magnetically snap into place. Oh, other thing about the buds: They're side-agnostic...there's no real Right or Left (although you might want to confirm which is which in your audio - if you care that much). This means I can just plop the buds on without worrying whether I'm reversing them improperly. Bluetooth connectivity was also just fine. Connection was quick and I had not problems keeping the connection. Other than that it's pretty basic - just what we're all accustomed to at this point. Simply put, I really LOVE these earbuds!

Great sound, great fit!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz OpenDots One are INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE and offer impressive sound quality for such a tiny little device. The "pressure" on your ears when these are "clamped" on is negligible. It is very easy to forget you have them on. You can whip your head around without fear of them sliding off. The audio (music) is very "forward" in the experience. I can hear everyone else in the room, but the audio experience is similar to being in a room listening to a surround sound stereo system. You can hear everything around you, but the audio from the OpenDots holds your attention. These are not noise canceling headphones, so you hear the sounds around you, but ambient noise is not distracting. The sound is immersive, unlike some on-ear buds. The quality of music is solid. Surprising lows (bass) and crisp highs (treble). Volume levels are terrific. Touch controls are responsive. The fit is lightweight and comfortable. Managed to wear them on day 1 for at least 5 hours without any discomfort--which included a 30-minute indoor workout and a 30-minute jog. There was slight "redness" on one ear the next day but nothing painful. The buds stayed in place during the workout and run. Wind noise is negligible and no different than what you get from any earbud in windy conditions. The app brings instructions (such as the touch commands) into focus and offers other benefits such as firmware updates and an EQ for your music. I used the earbuds for a phone call and each party heard one another just fine. I was not a fan of the bone conduction wrap-around Shokz, but I absolutely LOVE the quality and fit of the Shokz OpenDots One. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these earbuds to anyone looking for quality sound and a comfortable fitting, non-noise canceling audio experience. These could easily become my every day buds!

Not nearly as good as Shokz OpenFit 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will return these earbuds because the two ends of the structure are awkward to put on and behind your ears correctly, and when you finally find the best position for the part that goes near your ear canal it slips eventually which affects the clarity and volume, and the clip design gets uncomfortable on your earlobe. Additionally, they don't sound as good as the Shokz OpenFit 2 which I've owned for a while and enjoy even more than my Apple Airpods.

Fantastic sound with a unique and comfortable fit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a fan of Shokz products - their bone conduction, earless fit is great for me since I wear glasses and find over-the-ear headphones difficult and sometimes painful to wear. I have had at least two or three of Shokz's headsets for both work and working out and have been delighted with their sound, performance, longevity, and fit. The new Shokz OpenDots ONE Earbuds are a game-changer. These are sort of like a hybrid between in-ear buds, over-the-ear headphones, and bone conduction technologies all in one. First off, the fit is really, REALLY comfortable. The buds - which are not ear-specific - fit sort of like a clip on each of your ears. It took me a few tries to get the fit right and to make sure the earbuds were situated for optimal sound. Secondly, let's talk sound. I was NOT expecting these tiny little ear "clip" earbuds to deliver the sound quality they deliver. I consider myself somewhat of an audiophile and am pretty picky when it comes to sound. The Shokz OpenDots One Earbuds do not disappoint. The sound is rich, the bass is strong. Let's talk battery life. This also impressed me. I wore the OpeDots for a full day, a mix of dozen of Teams calls, a few traditional calls, listening to some music on a run, and watching the news on my computer. Battery life - still over 50% at the end of the day. Impressive, indeed. These are a game-changer, especially if you're like me and don't like in-ear or over-the-ear headphones. I haven't mastered the finger gestures, yet, but I am absolutely in love with these earbuds. 1000% recommend.

Quality Headphones Again from Shokz
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These have been the best sounding wireless headphones I've had in a long time! You just download the app, connect to bluetooth and you're ready to enjoy. The app is where you can change the EQ and turn on Dolby sound. You also can register for your warranty and change the motion controls all on the app, pretty nice. Sound quality is just outstanding, really comparable to bose and other great companies that put out great products year after year. The controls are pretty simple to use just like others they are touch controls and you can use your voice as well for commands. The fit for these headphones are different than most, these headphones clip on your ear and the speakers rest right in the ear canal. You don't push them in your earholes like other brands, which is really nice and trust me you forget they are even there. After i received these headphones I charged them up before listening to them and I got 10hrs of music, answering calls and normal day to day activity. I was a little shocked at the shokz performance. This company puts out great headphones year after year!

Nice option if you're looking for a style / brand
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are bigger than how they appear in the marketing materials, so that's the first thing I would keep in mind - they are not minimalist earbuds in my opinion. The way the clip on your ear tends to make my ears a bit uncomfortable after a while, but little tweaks in the adjustment can lessen the degree of potential discomfort. The sound quality is nice even though there is no noise cancellation (it makes sense for these to lack noise cancellation so I don't consider that a negative - how does one achieve noise cancellation with open air earbuds? Touch controls to me were a bit finicky but I've never been a fan of touch controls. Battery life seems to just meet but not exceed that mentioned in the specs, so again that's a positive. The case can add more juice to the headphones (even has a Fast Fuel type option). Additionally, the case allows for wireless charging on the special base. All in all this is a nice option if you're tired of trying the latest and greatest offering from other companies.

Great open air earbuds!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shokz has done it once again! I have always been a fan of the Shokz bone conduction headphones, and I have recently had a chance to try some of the regular open ear earbuds like these. Just know that these are not bone conduction earbuds and they actually do have drivers that fire directly into your ear. This definitely helps with the sound quality which I will get into later. Out of the box these look like a very quality product like the brand Shokz is known for. Like most earbuds they have a battery case which allows the buds to charge when they are in the case allowing you to get a lot of listening time before you have to plug them into an outlet. The buds themselves have a sleek look and I found that they fit very securely on my ears. They clip right around the side of your ear and even while running I found them to not move around very much. Never did I feel like they were going to fall out. So I think for most exercise activities these will be great as well as everyday use. The open ear design allows you to not only hear the music (or anything else you are listening to) but you can also easily hear everything going on around you since your ears are still totally open and unobstructed. Not to mention you don’t have to stick anything in your ear which can sometimes lead to itching or other irritation. I found the sound quality on these to be amazing. Any kind of music I threw at them sounded really good. Just know that you wont get thumping bass simply because these are not sealed in your ear. But I was quite impressed that the lows, mids, and higs all sounded great and were balanced very well. There is a companion app that allows you to do things like turn on or off the Dolby. There are a bunch of preset EQ’s and also a custom option as well. You can also customize your touch controls as well. Which I did test and found them to be about on part with most other earbuds. They are kind of hit and miss at times, but for the most part they work if you need to do something and don’t have your phone immediately handy to change volume or skip to a new track. I also found the call quality to be great as well. I was on a fairly noisy city street and I was able to easily carry on a conversation and hear everything that was being said, and the person I was talking to said they had no problems understanding me as well. Overall, this is another great product from Shokz! If you are in the market for some open air earbuds, definitely give these a try!

Worth it if you fall under a very specific niche
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. And that's if you wear glasses and want a pair of open ear headphones that both sound good, are both comfortable and secure, and have proper dust/water resistance. I've had a few open ear headphones over the past couple of years; 2 of which were Shokz products (OpenRun and the Openrun Pro 2) , the other was the Soundcore Aerofit 2. All of those had some fitting issue with my glasses to some extent but these have yet to have any problem when wearing my glasses. I feel confident these will stay on during a bike ride and a run outside. The sound is pretty good for open ear (These kind of headphones generally don't sound as good as regular earbuds or overhead style headphones) and I can definitely see myself using them regularly. My only complaint is the touch controls are hit/miss and surprisingly lackluster. The tap to play/pause doesn't work well once you're sweating, and you can only choose 1 of 3 options to tap or touch. Despite this I'm rather happy with them as I can finally have a good sounding pair of open ear headphones that don't cause issues when wearing glasses.

Shokz are impressive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from using sony linkbuds im really impressed! I mainly wanted headphones for work in a cold storage environment. I've used other brands and they have irritated my ears while wearing a winter hat. The sony linkbuds were comfortable but the sound quality was a major disappointment and the battery life was terrible.. after a coupe years the sonys battery was dead and wouldn't hold a charge for more than 45 minutes. (highly disappointed for $170 headphones) .. after a hour of owning the shokz i think they sound amazing. They are louder then the sony, more bass, fuller sounding, all around better except for the wide range touch controls on the sony( i could pause, skip and turn the volume up or down by tapping my hat or head) Overall I'm very happy after a short time owning the shokz I'd highly recommend if your looking for this style of earbuds

Best running headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve tried a lot earbuds for running and these are the best by far especially for the deal I got them for. Sound is great and they don’t move at all when running. I honestly forget they are in my ear after a while. Just turn the base up a little bit in the app and thy are literally perfect.

Awesome Sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are amazing. I absolutely love these earbuds !!!! 10 stars. Not too loud but definitely gets loud enough. My favorite is that it dosent go all the way in the ear so it doesn't get filled with wax. So far the battery is good also.

Great, Just not for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to try these as I thought the concept and design was cool. Unfortunately these just aren't for me so I'll be fair and say if you like this style of earbud you should check them out. The sound is pretty good, you get some nice options for EQ settings to tune them how you like but just not enough bass for me. I like a deeper bass response you get from in ear earbuds and/or over the head cans. The fit is cool they were more noticeable than expected coming from other reviews. Kind of feel like last earrings on your ear which didn't bother me. Controls was a little weird at first but once you get pass the learning curve they were fine. Overall I would recommend them for someone who likes this style of earbuds but I'll stick with in ears and over the heads for now.
