Shokz earbuds
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love these earbuds. They hold a charge for a long time, as does the case. I don't like earbuds that go in my ear, and these sit against my ear. They stay on well and are comfortable to wear.

Good, Not Great with One Disappointing Flaw
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 3 years, my go-to running headphones, the Plantronics BackBeat Fit finally crapped out on me. I have a pair of Sony In-Ear Noice Cancelling headphones that I tried to run in before I tried these. The way the earbuds suctioned into my ears created this massive, unbearable low frequency thumping every time one of my feet hit the ground. The majority of earbuds now have the soft round earpiece that suctions into your ears to keep them in so I purposefully looked for a set of headphones that weren't like that. I stumbled upon these. Tried them on at Best Buy, listened to the base OpenRuns (they didn't have the OpenRun Pros hooked up to music, only for trying on). Sounded really good, fit really good so I bought them. Just got back from my first run with them and here's what I think. They stay on my head great. No bouncing or shifting around. The piece that wraps around my head wasn't slapping against my neck. So that's really good. Very comfortable. The way they pressed up against my temple areas will take some getting used to. After getting back from my run, I still get the lingering feeling on the sides of my head like I'm still wearing them. The sound quality is subpar compared any other headset I've ran with, especially to my old BackBeat Fits. I don't know if there's something different from the OpenRuns I listened to at the store and the OpenRun Pros, or if its because I'm streaming music from my smartwatch (Garmin Forerunner 255S Music). They aren't so bad that its worth a return, but not even close to as good as what I'm used to. Especially for a $180 price tag. Another great thing I love about these is they have actual buttons. Not touch sensors. Thank the Lord. I can't stand touch technology, especially when I'm out running in the rain or when its really hot and I'm sweating like crazy. Wether it's headphones or smartwatches, I always get accidental touches, or it won't read that I'm trying to touch it. The buttons allow you to easily play and pause music, and it has volume control on the headset, very nice. One thing these do a lot better than my BackBeats is connect to my watch. It was a crapchute how long it would take for me to get them to connect. But these pair right up, no problem. Now, onto the biggest problem I have with these. The charger. It comes with a USB charging cable, however the end that plugs into the headset is a custom connector. Its not USB-C, USB Mini or Micro or whatever. So if you lose the cable or it goes bad, you can't just grab a spare usb cable you have lying around. I hate when companies do this. Overall I'm going to keep them around as a backup. I found what is probably the last pair of Plantronics BackBeat Fits on eBay for $70. When those get here I'll be using them as my main but it'll be nice having these Shockz just in case.

Awesome open ear buds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The most awesome set of open ear buds I ever owned. I searched for ear buds with the intent of getting the standard jam in the ear canal ear bud, but comfort was a big concern. The ones I had prior to getting these Shokz became uncomfortable after about 30 minutes along with causing my ears to itch. After reading the reviews on several ear buds, this one seemed to have high praises with quality and comfort. I am not regretting my decision on this purchase at all. These open ear buds are comfortable to a fault. In other words, I forget they are over my ear, sometimes taking them home with me from work, which is not my intention. The sound quality is great. I was concerned about the volume level as I am hard of hearing and with the previous buds I had to turn the volume all the way up and still had a hard time hearing. Not with these! I can keep the volume level close to half way and hear perfectly fine and it just gets louder from there. I normally look in the range of spending $40 to $80 on ear buds, but in this case the extra cost was well worth the price.

Amazingly Comfortable
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love these earbuds, they are incredibly light weight and comfortable to wear long period of time. best part for me is they cause zero ear irritation which was always been an issue for me with closed earbuds.

Amazing product . . . Definitely recommend
|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] Awesome wireless headset! Got these for my husband who works as an airplane mechanic and recently started going to the gym. He would complain about his ears hurting with earbuds or the top of his head being sore with the headphones and the length of time he would wear them. He also HAS to be aware of his surroundings during work so I did research and VOILA! Found the Shokz Openruns and these have been awesome for him! No soreness to be had and he can be completely aware of his surroundings while also getting quality sound and a secure fit. The battery life is also phenomenal--he wore them for 16 hours, on the entire time, and only drained 15% of the battery. He also noted that the bluetooth range was pretty far. Bonus: he said, even with a plane engine turned on (which outs out a ton of noise and vibrations), as long as he turned up the volume, he could still listen to his music!!!

Finally great sounding open ear headphones!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned multiple open-ear and bone-conduction headphones over the years, including several from Shokz, and the OpenFit 2 is the first open-ear model where the sound quality actually feels competitive with mainstream premium earbuds. First — comparison within the Shokz lineup: these sound noticeably better than my bone-conduction models. Music has more fullness, better cohesion, clearer highs, and less of that thin or mechanical character bone conduction tends to have. However, there’s an important tradeoff: the microphone is weaker in windy environments. My bone-conduction set with the boom mic still wins for call reliability outdoors. If phone calls in wind are your top priority, go with the bone-conduction version — specifically the one with the boom mic. If your priority is sound quality plus a built-in mic that performs on par with premium mainstream earbuds from Apple, then this is the one to get. I’ve tried most open-ear designs on the market and many of them fall into the same traps: hollow sound, shouty mids, rolled-off highs, or overly processed DSP character. Models from Soundcore were heavily recommended to me and ended up being a big disappointment. That’s what pushed me to spend more for the OpenFit 2 — and I’m glad I did. Compared to the previous OpenFit generation, the OpenFit 2 is clearly improved: • Better clarity • Fuller presentation • More natural cohesion • Stronger overall mic performance (except in wind vs boom mic models) I also tested the clip-style open earbuds from other brands and found them distant and rolled off. These don’t have that problem. For context: the only open or semi-open listening setup I own that beats these is my very expensive wired in-ears from Moon Audio running through a $200+ Bluetooth DAC — which isn’t a fair everyday comparison. One more practical note: I don’t even count traditional wireless earbuds with ~4-hour battery life as true daily drivers — that limitation alone takes them out of the running for how I work and move through the day. Bottom line: If you want the best sounding open-ear headphones currently available, this is it. If wind-resistant calling is your top priority, choose Shokz bone conduction with the boom mic instead.

Perfect!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent sound. Excellent comfort. I have unique ears that won’t hold most earbuds so I have never spent any more than 80.00 on ear buds. I took a chance on these and I don’t regret it at all. Love them I wear them for hours without even realizing they are there

Shokz Openfit 2+
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased it for my husband as an anniversary gift, and he enjoys using it every day for his work. We had the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2, no problems with that product, just he didn't get as much free head movement as much as he does with the new product. The way the product sits is perfect on his ears. As for the charger, it is as advertised, even the battery life. He still uses the OpenRuns but for other means, also still a great product.

Best Open Ear Headphones for Running
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing for running. The mini was perfect as I have a smaller head. They were super comfortable and did not bounce or slip while using. I barely even felt them when I had it on. Used this for Hood to Coast (200 miles relay) and my legs were about 6 miles each with one of them being in the middle of the night. I loved that I could still hear my surroundings while listening to my music. It shocked me with how easy it was to have conversations with other people while the music was playing. Multiple people on my team had these and we even influenced others to get them.

Love these only 2 small reasons they aren’t 5 star
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love these headphones! I got them for work about 2 months ago, I work 4 10hr shifts and 1 8hr shift a week and they last all day and take very little time to recharge to a full battery for the next day! They are comfortable but I also wear glasses and they will start to rub the top of your ears after awhile until used to them. The only 2 reasons I didn’t give these 5 stars are for 2 small factors. The first is that it is very quiet when announcing that they are being turned on/ off that most the time I can’t hear it. The second reason is that the play/ pause button on the left side either presses or doesn’t, most all the time it will still register a press even when it doesn’t press down, however, when it does press it sounds rough, like a crunch in your left ear which is not fun to hear. After 2 months of play I have only noticed an issue with connectivity once and I’m not sure if it was from the headphones or an issue with my phone.

Not bad, not great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initial item purchased quit working 2 days after opening. Unfortunately I was on a bike ride with no BB around so I was out of luck, but when I got home I was able to replace in store no problem. New pair work great. They don’t stay on my ears very well, though that could be user error. I am withholding a lower rating until I use them more. Sound is great, no complaints there. Battery life is good, too.

Shokz Open-ear Headphones (Pro Mini Premium)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never been able to keep earbuds in my ears. Also, I'm uncomfortable covering my ears and being cut off from my environment. This device answers both those concerns. It fits comfortably around the back of the head and leaves the ear canals open to sounds around me. Going for walks now with music and hearing the natural sounds around is a sublime experience. The device charges quickly and lasts hours. The sound quality is good. The only place I've had difficulty is in airplanes, it has trouble competing and has to be turned up loud. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the device and the technology.
