Some people collect watches and like to wear different ones on different days... and I'm about at that point with headphones and earbuds. Is it a problem? Depends on how you look at it. The way I see it is that no matter the occasion for things to pump sound to my ears I will always have the right choice on hand. Enter these very interesting earbuds from Shokz. Heck, I dont' eve know if I should call them earbuds because they don't actually go *in* your ear. They go on it. (But not the way you're used to.) And they go kinda in it, yes. (But also not the way you're used to.) If you're reading this, I'll assume you've seen the pictures but if not that's the best way to understand exactly what they are. The question now is: why would you buy these over something more traditional? Well, the easy answer to that one is comfort. You get none of the pressure in your ear canal from buds and none of the pressure on your head and cartilege from traditional headphones. I've never tried bone conduction phones, but I've used the Meta RayBans and a Meta Quest and maybe there's a comparison there, in that these kind of just position the sound to your ears without blocking any other sounds from coming in. (Which I'll get to shortly). What's kind of nice though is that you could have these on and most people would probably not even notice there's anything different about them just based on look. They're definitely more visibly similar to earbuds than say bone conduction headphones. They wrap around the ear itself and then the speakers kind of hover over the ear canal - and it's lovely. You can still feel air on your ears while wearing them. You can still hear other sounds, which has obvious benefits to anyone who runs or bikes in areas with car traffic. Or maybe you just want to be able to hear anyone who might talk to you while you're grocery shopping. Or you want a lightweight option for long work phone calls. If you think you *might* have a use case for this type of device, then you probably won't be disappointed. They do what they advertise! The part that touches the ear is soft and flexible. You could easily wear these for hours and not be fatigued! And they sound good, so you'll want to! Very clear for podcasts and music. Maybe not the most bass heavy thing you've ever heard, but are you buying these for that?? There are tactile control buttons on the side for play/pause, etc. and they work great. There's no fumbling around with touch sensitivity. Phone calll quality got a thumbs up (though not as clear as the Meta RayBans) and yeah - they're just really pleasant to use for 80% of what I want to listen to them. The only real knock here is that *because* they are so unique... it's taking some time to get used to them. Even just the fact that they're sort of over your ear, but not meant to go inside of them - I can't tell you how many times I've already instinctively tried to push them in further than I need to. Or try to get them to fit in a more snug manner. The other obvious downside is that noise cancellation obviously is not really in the cards here and, yeah, sometimes I just find myself forgetting about that and will try to do things like vacuum then suddenly wonder why I can't hear what I'm listening to. So those are the trade offs. You get a nice sturdy case with charging built in and some really solid, unique headbuds (?) for a pretty decent price. Again, if you think you might like them the best way to know is to just try them. I'd love to see the sound quality get even better with the next iteration, but for now I'm pretty pleased overall.

Love these things, They have a great sound quality. I take them out of the case and they stay charged till i get back home from work. iwork in construction and if they get wet i just dry them off and i am good to go. If i do need to put them in the case for a charge, they charge very quickly. they are quite possibly the best i have ever had.

​The sound quality is excellent for an open-ear design. The audio is crisp, and the bass response is surprisingly good, giving your music enough depth to be enjoyable during workouts or commutes. Crucially, the comfort is outstanding. They are incredibly light and sit securely over the ear, making them a great option for exercising (running, gym routines, etc.) without worrying about them falling out or causing ear fatigue. ​Where the OpenFit 2 falls short is the voice assistant integration. While the feature is present, I found the assistant to be not very advanced or efficient when attempting to request certain tasks.

With my previous in the ear earbuds I mostly listen to podcasts, but I find myself using these as much for music - the occasional rock or classical music tracks while reading, and I've also begun using them with my TV while watching late at night while my partner sleeps. I've found these to be very comfortable. They produce good quality sound and the bluetooth seems to stay strong even when I occasionally venture into another room away from my phone. Very happy with my purchase.

I had the first gen and really loved them. Here's my view on the first gen: Of course with any product there's some downsides there was the short battery life, sound was decent but overall was improved with the EQ options. For some reason I couldn't get it to pair with my computer ever even if I deleted all my connected devices to the earbuds. The Gen 2 gives you so much more battery life, physical buttons, instant connectivity to my computer now lol they sound better You still need to EQ them but that's not difficult, volume and overall loudness is NOT an issue with these OR The first gen. For people that hate having earbuds in their ears and worry about them falling out these are the perfect solution, they don't fall out because they don't go in the ear canal, If you hate the fatigue of having earbuds in your ear canal and getting warm sweaty kind of itchy from the silicone or rubber tips or the pressure, these are for you! And I can't wait to see in a year or so what the third generation improves upon. For what they are they sound pretty incredible for the volume you get out of these incredible as well. Battery life is great and much appreciated. I do not even charge my powerbeat pros anymore or use them. These are my go to earbuds for everything Will they be the best sounding for music? No, but for me personally they're more than passable for working out. I use earbuds a lot for phone calls and when I'm listening to podcasts while working out if I'm not listening to music and it's just really great being able to hear yourself talk and not feel like you're in a tunnel. I know a lot of companies are including microphones that pick up your voice and mix it in with the earbuds during calls so it feels more natural and they do a decent job, but these take away the need for any of that. I seriously will recommend this product to just about anyone that fits the criteria that I've mentioned I use them for.

I absolutely love these Shokz OpenFit 2 earbuds! They are incredibly lightweight—so much so that I often forget I’m even wearing them. The fit is soft, secure, and unbelievably comfortable without putting anything inside my ears. The sound quality is surprisingly deep and rich for open-ear earbuds. Highly recommend!

I am not a sound expert. I just wanted a pair of wireless earbuds that didn’t fit into my ear and were still small. These hook around your ear and rest over the ear opening. They feel great and are Light and comfortable. As for sound quality I am happy with them. I listen to Podcasts and stream music and audio books. Everything is clear and crisp. Battery life has been good. These have met all of my expectations.

Connectivity is easy, sound is great. I love it. It does not fall off your ears. They are comfortable

Extremely comfortable and good battery life. Sound quality isn't as good as non-open designs, but the trade-off is worth it for my use case. I greatly appreciate the physical buttons in place of touch controls and they have never felt close to falling off

I find these comfortable, the sound quality excellent, and the battery life quite impressive (considering the earbuds and case combo). When using these, I can still hear what is happening around me, so that is great when dog walking or other situations where situational awareness is desired. I'll probably still use my in-ear buds as external sound dampners at sporting events and when listening to audiobooks on an airplane.

Theres so much to like and no real dislikes. The sound quality is unreal. And when comparing it to similar products. This might be the best out there for 2 reasons. The buds are over your ear hole not in it. Meaning you can still hear everything around you if the volume is low enough - great for the workplace imo. And 2 the battery life is much better than all other comparable brands. Also, its wonderfully priced - less than other big brands , but worth so much more. I live and breathe electronics, especially when it comes to sound. Ive tried so many brands out but this is my favorite. Great for working out. For reference i practice MMA. And move all parts of my body, in multiple directions and rapidly. And although I do feel the small shift of the headphones over my ear, they always stay in place. Even during jumping rope and running. A MUST TRY!

You can’t really compare them to traditional in-ear earbuds since they use an open-ear design, but that’s exactly what makes them special. Very comfortable, sound is good. Awesome for workouts and even in office. Keeps you completely aware of your surroundings while having music in the background. Can’t go wrong with Shokz.

These headphones are absolutely amazing. I have legit fallen asleep with them on woken up in the morning frantically looking for them forgetting that they're on my ears. The sound quality is amazing and I'm coming from a pair of Google pixel buds Pro 2 which work better with my pixel 9A and even then I was willing to sacrifice the features for comfort calls. Are crystal clear. The features are amazing. The sound quality is above and beyond anything that I have heard and if you do not like things in your ear canals, I definitely suggest that you buy these and do not pass up the opportunity that they are $55 off right now at Best Buy. Get yourself a pair immediately. You will not regret it. Once you download the shocks app they work flawlessly.

These Shokz earphones are fabulous! I am so happy I switched from earbuds to these over the ear to have less eardrum damage haha. They hold on well and do not fall while I jog or do a weight lifting workout. I love that i can wear them while at work and do not feel the need to remove them to hear someone as opposed to earbuds. The beige color is elegant and I can hide the earphone if I put my hair down. The physical button on the helps to easily skip songs and adjust volume. Definitely recommend!

It fits nice and tucked into my ear and yet i can hardly notice it. The sound has clarity and the bass is better than my openrun which randomly died. I hope this lasts longer because these are less invasive.
