    Great Open-Ear Earphones

The Shokz OpenFit 2 earphones are a great set of open-ear earphones. The earphones come with a charging case and small charging cable. They feature up to 48 hours of battery life. Setting up the earphones is relatively simple, and familiar if you have ever set up a bluetooth device before. There is an app you can connect to, which promises further customizability, including EQ adjustments, however, I have received these as a pre-release review, and the app features are not ready for release. So I am unable to comment on those features, but they do sound promising. I was a bit skeptical about the Shokz OpenFit 2 because I have used other Shokz products that use the bone conduction tech, and I was not impressed. I was relieved to see that these just use an open-ear design instead of the bone conduction design of the other headset I previously used, and the difference was quite clear. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of these earphones. Because of the open-ear design, I wasn't expecting much from the sound quality, but I was actually blown away. They sound really good. They even have a good amount of bass, which I didn't even think was possible with this type of design. And, being open-ear, you are still able to hear the environment around you. I used these at the gym, and I was able to clearly hear my music, but also still be aware of things going on around me. These are the perfect type of earphones for use in those types of situations. They are also quite comfortable. I was able to wear them for about an hour and I never felt any kind of discomfort or anything, and eventually it just felt like I wasn't even wearing anything. This was a nice change from other in-ear earbuds that can cause ear fatigue after just a little while. One last thing that I really appreciate about the open-ear design is that these don't get as dirty as in-ear buds. I'm always a bit grossed out when I take out my in-ear buds, but with these, I take them out and give them a quick wipe-down and they are good as new. Overall I am very happy with the Shokz OpenFit 2 ear phones. They are very comfortable to wear for long periods, have great sound quality, a long lasting battery, and the open-ear design is something I didn't know I would appreciate so much. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for new earphones.

I have had these for almost a week, and have been using them almost every day at least for a couple hours at a time, sometimes longer. I have been looking for wireless earbuds for a while. I currently have some Sony over-ear noise canceling headphones which I love for the sound quality and that feeling of being completely disconnected from everything around you and "in your own world". They are great around the house but a bit huge to wear walking outside or at the gym. My problem is that I hate the feeling of earbuds in my ears. Also they fall out. Enter Shokz OpenFit 2. I absolutely love them. I actually forget I have them on. Some have complained that they are "tinny" or lacking bass. There is a case for that. However, I downloaded their app and created customized equalizer. I basically turned treble all the way down and bass all the way up. Seemed to fix this issue, for me anyways. Everyone hears differently, I'm sure. I am sure these are not the best quality when it comes to equalizer stuff, but I find the sound to be of excellent quality once adjusted thru the app. The listening experience with these is GREAT. Comfortable, loud enough, still have situational awareness. But honestly if the volume is up really high, I cannot hear anything else in my environment. Mid range volume you can. I'm not sure the battery will last you 11 hours. But it will last you several hours. They charge very quickly. I am extremely happy with these. Highly recommend if you hate earbuds in your ears and fear them falling out. These are great.

Completely worth it, despite the fact that the price is a little steep, i changed my OpenRun Pro for these guys, even though both are fantastic, Battery life is insane, they can last for a LONG time and the build quality is pretty awesome, considering i dont feel them in my ears most of the time. also their warranty is really really good.

I Got the extended warranty on my gen 1’s last year and the case quit working correctly so i took them into best buy and they promptly free exchanged me a new set of the gen 2’s. I wasn’t expecting the upgrade. I had to pay 30.00 extra because the price increased over last years. Wow well worth the extra plus the extended warranty cost. Sound quality and frequency range twice as good. Feel same comfort. Battery life has almost doubled. Also Paired easily. Bass mid and treble response is probably the most noticeable improvement.

A great option for open fit model

Absolutely love those earbuds and considering that the app is still not supporting this newly launched model, I am sure that the experience is going to be even better. With that being said, the Shokz Open Fit 2 is a very high-quality and comfortable pair of earbuds that I would definitely recommend to others. First of all, when you get the box, you are greeted with the user guide, USB-C to USB-C charging wire, the carrying case, and the two Open Fit 2 earbuds. The manual gives a quick guide on how to start using the device with great diagrams on how to put it on. In my case, because the app is still not supporting this model, the connection was with my phone's Bluetooth. The earbuds themself each have a designated touch area, which in my current experience didn’t do anything, in the meantime the physical button that can pause music, move to your next track, move to your previous track, and increase or decrease volume, which I have actually found very useful. There is also a button on the charging case which also does nothing. When you first put them on, it sounds pretty quiet, but you get used to it pretty fast, and let me tell you, that audio quality is awesome. Of course, because this is an open-fit model, the earbuds allow you to very clearly hear anything around you which I personally find great. Surprisingly, if you have something playing on these, people around you won’t really be able to hear what you are listening to which I think is also pretty cool. Back to connections, while connecting the Bluetooth to your phone, the process is really easy. That isn’t something I could say while connecting to my computer though. I understand that the model can be connected to at least two devices but I have tried on multiple occasions to try to connect these earbuds to my computer and that was a more difficult task. I would also hate to forget the fact these earbuds have amazing battery life. I have been able to use these for three days straight without needing to charge them. The attention to detail on this device is great, it is clear that they spent a lot of time working on this. One last thing I would like to mention is the fact that despite the fact that these earbuds look like they would hold on tight, whenever I was doing any activity with them, the earbuds do easily get loose and never fall off. This is a great issue though you are aiming to secure your asset. All in all, these are some really great earbuds, are very high quality, feel awesome, and I would definitely recommend

Solid open ear headset from Shokz

There are times when you're listening to music or on a call and you want to shut the rest of the world out - perhaps you're on your daily commute or in a loud open office or such. Other times though, you don't mind hearing the world around you - maybe you're at home but still want to listen semi-privately to music or need to take the conference call after hours from the house. It's that second set of times where open ear headsets like this OpenEar2 setup from Shokz can come in handy. The OpenEar2 earbuds (I call them that even though they aren't really true earbuds, but you get the picture) are very comfortable to wear, as they're fairly light and well-balanced. As someone that wears in-ear noise cancelling earbuds for conference calls 30+ hours a week, it's nice to have something that sits OUTSIDE my ear too sometimes when I'm not in need of the full silence. Sound quality is good too, though not QUITE as good as a high end in ear set, but the range is good (of course without deep base given the size) and the notes of music are clear across high, mid and mid-low ranges. Spoken word is also quite clear and the microphones are good for picking up outgoing voice without much in the way of background noise. Given the overall size / shape of the headset, the case is a bit larger than the now tiny TWS in ear sets, but not troublesome or oversized, it's still an easy fit in a pocket or purse. Battery life appears to be good, though I do wish these was a way to tell from the case what the level of charge is (some other cases use a series of LEDs to indicate charge level, but not here) and charging is easy from USB-C. Fit is generally good and should be universal, but they're somewhat less secure than in-ear buds and not sure I'd trust them fully to stay in while running or cycling, but they'd probably be fine while lifting weights at the gym. Quality of both the earbuds set and the case itself is quite good and they should prove to be durable in use - or at least as durable as any similar set. So if you want to give your ears a rest from in ear buds without losing much in the way of audio quality or microphone / outgoing quality, these are a great option from a known company in Shokz. Give them a try today!
