do NOT BUY Shokz - OpenFit Air
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pair I jumped through Best Buy hoops to exchange are not working in 3 weeks. 1- The charger doesn't hold a charge 2- when the ear bud drops to 60% you can hear the person you are on the phone with, but they can't hear you. 3- when it drops to 25-30% they turn off. These headphones stopped working after about 4 months, and even though when I bought them all 3 colors were on sale for the same price, Best Buy would not let me exchange for a different color. I had to PAY for a new pair, RETURN the pair, and ONLY then would the honor their warranty plan I PAY for yearly. Now I see that they have marked that the 24 months protection is CANCELED since I had to return defective earbuds I had owned LESS than 6 months! THE :NEW" ones, I have owned for about 3 weeks are having the EXACT same issues. I don't know it is the these particular Shokz OpenFit or the 'special blue best buy' edition.

Posted .Hi there- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear you're not completely satisfied with the sound quality of your OpenFit Air. We highly recommend ensuring that the latest firmware version has been updated via the Shokz app for the best experience with your OpenFit Air. There is also a phone setting that may resolve the low volume issue. -On the iPhone, go to Settings > Sound & Haptics > Headphone Safety, make sure that the Reduce Loud Audio Feature is switched off as this will affect the volume of the headphone. -On an Android, go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphone and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for it. If you decide these are not a good fit for you, we kindly ask that you reach out to BestBuy directly to learn of their return policy. Thank you!

Best Earbuds I have tested!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SHOKZ OPENFIT AIR True wireless Earbuds are an innovative, comfortable and great sounding set of earbuds. These earbuds come with a chagrining case, a charging able and the normal quick start literature. The key features of these earbuds are as follows: • A secure and comfortable fit enabled through their adaptable ergonomic hook design that enhances the snugness of their fit. The flexibility of the ear hook enhances the snugness via a larger contact error. • The ear hooks have a teardrop-shaped cross section that allows for long wear session due to reduced pressure and the smaller top section allows one to wear glasses with no conflicts with these earbuds. • The ergonomic dual bevel design of the main part of the earbuds ensures a steadfast, secure and stable fit. The first part of this is a 25.5° angle that shifts the center of gravity of the units closer to the ear that provides a lighter-than-air feel that defies movement. The second part is an 18° beveled driver housing that also aids the snugness of the fit in an over the ear design. • The open fit design is enhanced through the use of SHOKZ DirectPitch™ technology that provides balanced, precise, clear, and natural audio with minimal leakage. • The open-ear design allows one to stay plugged into the real work, while taking care of the things one needs to take care of. • The buds are rated for up to 28 hours of battery life. Up to 6 hours via a single charge and up to 28 hours with the charging case. A 10-mnunte change will deliver up to 2 hours of listening time. • Multi-point paring allows for simultaneous sync with up to two devices – phones, laptops, or tablets included with a device switch enabled with a simple tap. The earbuds come in 3 colors – Black, White, and Pink. They weigh 8.7g and have 4 microphones for voice precision when taking calls. If you have read any of my other earbud reviews, you may recall that my wife loves earbuds, and I really don’t like them. Well, folks these are the exception and I love these – primarily because they are an ON-EAR design vs an IN-EAR design. This, however, does have drawbacks in that noise can overpower these devices – for example while I could wear and use them when using my string trimmer, I did have to turn the volume way up to have any chance of hearing anything. I tested them in audiobook, podcast, music and phone call modes and had no issues with any of these scenarios the crisp, clear, sound. Again, these are soundly the best earbuds that I have tested.

Perfect for Running and Comfortable Listening
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz OpenFit Air have now become my daily use headphones because of how many different scenarios I can use them with. I'm a long distance runner and finding the perfect balance between ambient sound, comfortability, and battery life in a pair of headphones has always been a difficult search that I can now happily say is over. These headphones don't sit directly inside the ear canal but hover over the ear canal to allow ambient noise to hear your surroundings which is great when running outdoors. I was a little bit skeptical on how they would sound but sound quality was impressive. The bass is lackluster and turning on the bass through the equalizer only diminished the sound quality so I keep it on default setting. Although they don't sit directly in the ear canal, I never had an issue with volume and clarity of the music or podcast I was listening to. There is a bit of sound bleed at high volumes but I also use these in an office setting to be able to hear when someone calls my name from across the office and they are perfect for privately listening to your tunes while still being alert to your coworkers. Since they don't sit in your ear canal, I never experienced fatigue in my ear from wearing them for long periods of time. They are some of the most comfortable pair of headphones that I have ever owned. I also never once felt like they were going to fall off or felt the need to readjust them on my runs. One downside of the headphones is that the touch controls for playing/pausing, skipping tracks, and adjusting volume takes a little getting use to as there is more force required to activate it than I was use to with my other pair of headphones. On another positive note, these headphones can be connected to 2 devices at the same time which works perfectly for me since I use 2 phones, 1 for work and 1 for personal use. I can be listening to my tunes from my personal phone and get a work call that I can answer through my headphones and reconnect my tunes once I'm done with my conversation. Overall, these have been the best pair of headphones I have owned for running that have the added benefit of also being great for the office. I look forward to many miles with these.

Never purchase a Shokz product
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased Shokz OpenFit earbuds and could not be more disappointed. They are defective in that they continually need charged since they regularly connect to my devices even while in the closed case. The real problem is not the defective product since this can be expected but rather the pathetic customer service provided by Shokz. After a very frustrating 5-month process, Shokz displayed a total inability to communicate and a complete lack of reliability with no resolution of my problem. Never again will I even consider a Shokz product and recommend the same to anyone considering a Shokz product. For what it's worth, I also highly recommend that Best Buy reconsider its business relationship with them due to the reputational risk.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They do not seat well in the charging case, therefore they don't disconnect or charge properly. You can't turn them off unless you place them in the case... Just right. Other than that the sound is OK, the comfort level is excellent. I would not recommend these at all.

Terrible
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was suggested these by the instore rep and it is by far the worst purchase ive made. Battery life is unbelievably terrible, audio is aub par, the only saving grace was that these had ACN for the work environment. Would 10billion percent never recommend these ever. I would give zero stars if possible.

Great design but unusable in loud environments
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones have several innovative features. There are perfectly weighted and very comfortable. They stay in good position even during a cardio workout. The app is excellent and allows linking of two BT devices. The app you to switch devices in the app with visual feedback (rather thank starting and stoping a sound source hoping the preferred device will link). Not having a silicone bud to insert into your ear canal makes these usually comfortable and quick to place on your ears or remove. The sound is surprisingly good and there is significant but effective signal processing which make the quality similar to a perfectly positioned and inserted bud headphone. The case is excellent and the individual headphones are easy to place into the charging bay and stay in position (unlike other expensive brands which may be dead when you go to use the after storage. The case charges quickly via usb c and opens and closes easily. The case is smaller and flatter than major competitors and fits in a front or back pocket. The single and significant (depending on your use case) is the lack of passive external sound blocking and the therefore poor experience in loud environments. This is usually not a problem for loud music sources but if using for a phone call or movie - even on maximum volume the experience is frustrating.
