I had to return this item because I really didn’t like the sound quality which was supposed to be the equivalent of blocking ambient sounds; but in my opinion, it did not do that so great… as expected, thereturn process wise, very simple and not time-consuming an overall hassle free. JHW

3, maybe 4, stars if they were half the price. The sound quality is flat, regardless of EQ settings. Inless ypure in a controlled environment with no wind whatsoever the lows are almost completely washed out. They are not shaped at all and constantly have to adjust the positioning because a) shape causes them to sit awkwardly on your tragus, and b) the clips are incredibly flimsy so the buds just constantly move. I got these because the Bose QCE were so bad that i sepre off Bose after being a long-time customer… these are worse and i wish i had returned them. Oh, and the “cudtomizable controls” aren’t customizable; you can turn their presets on or off, sometimes with ONE other option, thats it.

Hi there- Shokz here! We're very sorry to hear this has been your experience. The position and angle of your earbuds can affect the volume level. Please ensure that you’re wearing the earbuds correctly. When wearing OpenFit Pro, please make sure that the Shokz logo face outward. For a more secure fit, use the included support accessories and attach the ear hook as shown.

Enabling Noise Reduction reduces background noise, making the headphone audio clearer, while Dolby Audio enhances sound clarity and dynamic range. These two features help the audio stand out and feel louder, especially in noisy environments.

Turning Off the Volume Limit may also assist.
For iPhone: Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety, switch off the Reduce Loud Audio feature.

For Samsung: Go to Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Volume, click More, and turn off Media Volume Limit.

For other Android phones: Go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphones and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for them.

      Adjust EQ Settings

If the volume is still not loud enough, we suggest customizing the EQ settings in the Shokz App to enhance the volume of vocals or bass. We recommend selecting the Vocal mode or Bass mode to improve the listening experience. If you decide these are not a good fit for you, we kindly ask that you reach out to BestBuy Customer Service directly to learn of their return policy. Thank you! AfterShokzCHT

I had to stop using ear buds as they contributed to hard wax build up in my ear canal. I had to go to a ENT specialist to get it removed, boy did that hurt. The design of shokz does not insert into the ear canal and they sound great.

Hi there- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear the OpenFit Pro was not a good fit for you. To deliver improved sound quality and more effective noise reduction, OpenFit Pro are designed with a slightly larger and sturdier build. As a result, they may feel a bit heavier compared to other models.

Overall, OpenFit Pro is better suited for users who prioritize higher sound quality, advanced audio technology, and noise reduction capabilities.

OpenFit 2 series is a better choice for users who value lighter weight, long-term wearing comfort, and cost-effectiveness. Please reach out to out Customer Happiness Team if you have any questions :) Thanks! AfterShokzCHT

Hi there- Shokz here! We're very sorry to hear this has been your experience.
Correct positioning can significantly reduce pressure and improve overall comfort. When wearing OpenFit Pro, please make sure that the Shokz logo faces outward and rotate the earbuds until they sit securely and comfortably. Our OpenComm models may be a better fit for you, since you are using these for work meetings. They are much more light weight, and sit outside of the ear. If you decide these are not a good fit for you, we kindly ask that you reach out to BestBuy Customer Service directly to learn of their return policy. Thank you! AfterShokzCHT

I have been able to spend some time with my Shokz OpenFit Pro Earbuds so far I have been really happy with them. I am a person that gets very sweaty when I workout and my Earbuds feel can uncomfortable and get sweaty and pop out during working out. These alleviate that but having an open design. It took some getting used to but for working out I can’t live without them. Also it helps at least for me to keep my balance as well when exerting myself. When using in earbuds I can get a little disoriented especially when I can’t hear the atmosphere. These help a lot with that. Yeah you won’t get noise canceling headphones but that’s not what they are for. They are for listening to music and taking phone calls without sacrificing your ability to hear the outside world. But most importantly comfort. And they are comfortable. They stick to your ears super well and don’t move. They have some weight but nothing drastic. Now to the real question the audio. They actually sound great. They won’t have ear shattering bass but they will bump. The clarity is nice and it has low noise bleed. You will notice it in a silent room but for a regular sound level it’s barely noticeable. The build quality is great and the battery life is even better. These earbuds also are great for those with small ear canals. My wife is unable to use in earbuds like most noise canceling headphones but she can use these and have no issues. So they are very versatile. These are a great earbud for those who want to have a great earbud that’s not in ear.

The Perfect "Earbuds" When You Don't Want Earplugs

I bought the original version of the Shokz earbuds and ended up returning them for a couple reasons with the biggest being sound quality and fit. I felt they couldn’t compete with Shokz’s standard headphones. But with the release of the OpenFit Pro earbuds, I wanted to try them again and boy am I SO happy I did. These are my new go-to earbuds. I often struggle with earbuds that actually go in the ear. They constantly fall out and I don’t know what’s wrong with my ears but I can never find the right fit. I’ve just given up on them and switched to over the ear closed headphones and my beloved Shokz OpenRun Pros. These are great, but I do wish that I could put those Shokz in my pocket when I’m out and about just in case I need them but unfortunately they are just too big and rigid. But the OpenFit Pros solve this issue. Easy enough to slide the case into my pocket then if I need them, I can pop on the earbuds or even just one if I want to be even more aware of my surroundings. And these are an incredible fit. I am significantly bigger than my partner and both of us had zero issues keeping the earbuds hooked on our ears. The earbuds themselves are so lightweight that there were many times that I just forgot they were on. They are premium comfort that goes hand in hand with premium sound quality. These are truly impressive in the sound department. Incredible separation, volume, and range. I’m using these while working out but also I had them playing audio during the entirety of my 10 hour workdays and would only start getting low battery warnings at hour 10. Popped them in the case for 20 minutes then was able to do a full hour workout at the gym. My tiny gripe is that the case is big and a little heavy. It’s definitely noticeable in a pocket. That’s the only thing that I believe they could improve on. The Shokz OpenFit Pro earbuds are an excellent choice if you want your earbuds to not go inside your ears and don’t want noise-cancelling. If you want incredible sound, awareness of surroundings, while wearing something that you’ll forget you’re even wearing then these are the headphones for you. Shokz has done it again! Pros: Exceptional sound quality Long battery life Easy multi-pairing Very comfortable with great fit Easy to use app Cons: Charging case is bulky and a little heavy

Shokz OpenFit Pro Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds

So I've been testing out my new Shokz OpenFit Pro Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds over the last couple of weeks and I absolutely love these earbuds. Shokz has been around for quite sometime. I've only recently started testing out some of their bone conduction wireless headsets and fell in love with those, so I knew when these came along that I would no doubt find these equally impressive as well. Unboxing: * Shokz OpenFit Pro Earbuds * Charging Case * USB-C Charging Cable * Support Accessories * User Documentation First thing you may want to do is download the Shokz app and check for any firmware updates. After any potential updates have been downloaded and installed (which is fairly quick and easy), you'll be ready to fire up these bad-boys. Simply takes the earbuds out and place them behind your ears with the earbud angled down into you ear. Just connect them via bluetooth and you're ready to go. Using the app you can tweak the OpenFit Pro settings to your liking. Once I got everything up and running, I began using these earbuds almost non-stop. Everyone says they can here me loud and clear. So far the earbuds have proved to be very comfortable when I tend to wear them at extended times and they stay in place. Great for using one earbud at a time or both together especially when working out and getting into the zone. They have multi-pairing feature which allows me to connect them to my phone as well as my laptop instead of just being tied to one specific device at a time. Battery life has been amazing, and they charge up fairly quickly; 10 minutes can make the party or workout continue another 4 hours. They can be charged via the charging case, which can be charged with the included USB-C charging cable or by a Qi wireless charging pad. I recommend these to anyone looking for a nice pair of open-ear true wireless earbuds.

    Game Changing Noise Reduction Tech!

These earbuds are a total game-changer. I was already using my Shokz OpenFit Air as my daily drivers for everything from running to working at the office, but the OpenFit Pro is on a whole different level. Not only do they sound phenomenal, but the new open-ear noise reduction technology actually blew me away. As a solo runner, I always need to stay aware of my surroundings-cyclists, cars, or even wildlife—but I find myself wearing these just as much when I'm not being active. I'll use them at my desk or while doing the dishes, and the noise reduction feature actually helps muffle unwanted background noise like a running faucet or a loud AC unit. You can set the level in the app, and the best way I can describe it is that everything sounds more "muffled" or focused, similar to how in-ear buds feel, but without actually plugging your ears. It helps me tune out just enough to really enjoy a podcast or audiobook. One of the best upgrades is the physical buttons on both earbuds. My OpenFit Airs had touch pads, and because I sweat a ton during workouts, my sweat would constantly trigger the controls and pause or skip my music. It was so frustrating I had to disable the touch pads entirely. I don't have any of those issues with the Pro model since they switched to actual buttons. The sound quality is superb, and you can tweak the signature through the app with presets or a custom EQ. There’s a Movie Mode that really brings out the dialogue and a head tracking feature that shifts the direction of the sound based on how you turn your head. It’s not useful while running, obviously, but it’s amazing for watching videos at home. Overall, I think these are the best open-ear headphones you can get. They’re incredibly versatile, and the battery life is phenomenal—50 hours total with the case, plus quick charging. 10 out of 10 for me.

Unboxing these earbuds felt very premium. Just the packaging and presentation made the experience more fun. Included were the earbuds, locking attachments and the charging cable. More importantly they were in a nice metal case which has wireless charging and just feels well built. Use: When I put them on at first, they felt weird like something was not on all the way. However, when I paired them to my phone which was smooth and they were great. The sound was good. When I loaded the Shokz app it allowed me to mix the sound profile and enable more transparency. It was nice to be able to adjust to how much outside noise I could hear vs the music. I went for several runs with these, and it was just the right amount of ambient noise to music for me to hear my surroundings. I did not feel like they slipped or fell off when running. I did, however, feel like there was too much outside noise when I went on a few bike rides. I did try the included locking pieces that would help them stay in your ear better, but I did not feel they were necessary and they felt odd when on. However, when I installed the Shokz app. That was when I was able to adjust the sound profile. Batter life: I found the battery life excellent. I was able to get 6 workouts in and 2 long Teams meetings with them and still they did not die. I know I could have plugged them into the case if needed. Also, I like the fact that the case works with my existing wireless charging pad. I think these are great for workouts or using these for work since you can still hear around you but there is not a need to take them off because they are uncomfortable. I really think the only con is if you need to cancel the ambient noise then these are not for you. For example, I would not use these on a flight.
