Good sound & mic. They hurt the top of my ears after wearing for 60 minutes or so and I was unable to resolve it through internet recommendations. Had to return them.

Hi there- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear the OpenFit Pro was not a good fit for you. To deliver improved sound quality and more effective noise reduction, OpenFit Pro are designed with a slightly larger and sturdier build. As a result, they may feel a bit heavier compared to other models.
Overall, OpenFit Pro is better suited for users who prioritize higher sound quality, advanced audio technology, and noise reduction capabilities.
OpenFit 2 series is a better choice for users who value lighter weight, long-term wearing comfort, and cost-effectiveness. Please reach out to out Customer Happiness Team if you have any questions :) Thanks!

Shokz OpenFit Pro Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds

So I've been testing out my new Shokz OpenFit Pro Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds over the last couple of weeks and I absolutely love these earbuds. Shokz has been around for quite sometime. I've only recently started testing out some of their bone conduction wireless headsets and fell in love with those, so I knew when these came along that I would no doubt find these equally impressive as well.
Unboxing:
* Shokz OpenFit Pro Earbuds
* Charging Case
* USB-C Charging Cable
* Support Accessories
* User Documentation
First thing you may want to do is download the Shokz app and check for any firmware updates. After any potential updates have been downloaded and installed (which is fairly quick and easy), you'll be ready to fire up these bad-boys. Simply takes the earbuds out and place them behind your ears with the earbud angled down into you ear. Just connect them via bluetooth and you're ready to go. Using the app you can tweak the OpenFit Pro settings to your liking. Once I got everything up and running, I began using these earbuds almost non-stop. Everyone says they can here me loud and clear. So far the earbuds have proved to be very comfortable when I tend to wear them at extended times and they stay in place. Great for using one earbud at a time or both together especially when working out and getting into the zone. They have multi-pairing feature which allows me to connect them to my phone as well as my laptop instead of just being tied to one specific device at a time. Battery life has been amazing, and they charge up fairly quickly; 10 minutes can make the party or workout continue another 4 hours. They can be charged via the charging case, which can be charged with the included USB-C charging cable or by a Qi wireless charging pad. I recommend these to anyone looking for a nice pair of open-ear true wireless earbuds.

Game Changing Noise Reduction Tech!

These earbuds are a total game-changer. I was already using my Shokz OpenFit Air as my daily drivers for everything from running to working at the office, but the OpenFit Pro is on a whole different level. Not only do they sound phenomenal, but the new open-ear noise reduction technology actually blew me away.
As a solo runner, I always need to stay aware of my surroundings-cyclists, cars, or even wildlife—but I find myself wearing these just as much when I'm not being active. I'll use them at my desk or while doing the dishes, and the noise reduction feature actually helps muffle unwanted background noise like a running faucet or a loud AC unit. You can set the level in the app, and the best way I can describe it is that everything sounds more "muffled" or focused, similar to how in-ear buds feel, but without actually plugging your ears. It helps me tune out just enough to really enjoy a podcast or audiobook.
One of the best upgrades is the physical buttons on both earbuds. My OpenFit Airs had touch pads, and because I sweat a ton during workouts, my sweat would constantly trigger the controls and pause or skip my music. It was so frustrating I had to disable the touch pads entirely. I don't have any of those issues with the Pro model since they switched to actual buttons.
The sound quality is superb, and you can tweak the signature through the app with presets or a custom EQ. There’s a Movie Mode that really brings out the dialogue and a head tracking feature that shifts the direction of the sound based on how you turn your head. It’s not useful while running, obviously, but it’s amazing for watching videos at home.
Overall, I think these are the best open-ear headphones you can get. They’re incredibly versatile, and the battery life is phenomenal—50 hours total with the case, plus quick charging. 10 out of 10 for me.

Unboxing these earbuds felt very premium. Just the packaging and presentation made the experience more fun. Included were the earbuds, locking attachments and the charging cable. More importantly they were in a nice metal case which has wireless charging and just feels well built.
Use:
When I put them on at first, they felt weird like something was not on all the way. However, when I paired them to my phone which was smooth and they were great. The sound was good. When I loaded the Shokz app it allowed me to mix the sound profile and enable more transparency. It was nice to be able to adjust to how much outside noise I could hear vs the music. I went for several runs with these, and it was just the right amount of ambient noise to music for me to hear my surroundings. I did not feel like they slipped or fell off when running. I did, however, feel like there was too much outside noise when I went on a few bike rides. I did try the included locking pieces that would help them stay in your ear better, but I did not feel they were necessary and they felt odd when on. However, when I installed the Shokz app. That was when I was able to adjust the sound profile.
Batter life:
I found the battery life excellent. I was able to get 6 workouts in and 2 long Teams meetings with them and still they did not die. I know I could have plugged them into the case if needed. Also, I like the fact that the case works with my existing wireless charging pad.
I think these are great for workouts or using these for work since you can still hear around you but there is not a need to take them off because they are uncomfortable. I really think the only con is if you need to cancel the ambient noise then these are not for you. For example, I would not use these on a flight.

Hi there- Shokz here! We're very sorry to hear this has been your experience. We highly recommend ensuring that the latest firmware version has been updated via the Shokz app for the best experience with your OpenFit Pro. There are a few other steps that will help with improving the sound quality and volume :) -Enabling Noise Reduction reduces background noise, making the headphone audio clearer, while Dolby Audio enhances sound clarity and dynamic range. These two features help the audio stand out and feel louder, especially in noisy environments. -Turn Off the Volume Limit For iPhone: Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety, switch off the Reduce Loud Audio feature. For Samsung: Go to Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Volume, click More, and turn off Media Volume Limit. For other Android phones: Go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphones and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for them. -If the volume is still not loud enough, we suggest customizing the EQ settings in the Shokz App to enhance the volume of vocals or bass. We recommend selecting the Vocal mode or Bass mode to improve the listening experience. If you decide these are not a good fit for you, we kindly ask that you reach out to BestBuy Customer Service directly to learn of their return policy. Thank you!

Best Truly Wireless Active Lifestyle Earbuds Ever

I've gone through a lot of different truly wireless earbuds over the years, and the Shokz Openfit Pro Earbuds check ALL of the boxes and even improve in some key areas compared to other sound solutions I've used in the past. What is different on these earbuds is they don't sit inside your ear canal, which can be fatiguing over time and can even lead to potential ear infections. They hover over your ear and send the sound into your ear via a small speaker. This leads to more comfortable and natural feeling wear over time, but does it come with a trade-off? Not in my opinion!
Build Quality and Styling - Wow. The build quality, styling and attention to detail on these earbuds are absolutely perfect and what you would come to expect from a multi-trillion dollar company, not a relatively small company like Shokz. The clamshell case has a metal ring and lip that allows easy open with a bright green LED that indicates charging and pairing status. The Shokz logo is prominent but stylish and the rear has the USB-C connector bump just slightly like its the side of a luxury sports car. The earbuds themselves are a mix of fine mesh, metal, and silicone perfection and just look so futuristic. I got the white headphones and man they will be turning heads for sure. I've worn them on the subway already and had 2 people ask me what headphones these were.
Sound Quality - They punch way above their size and weight and while they won't get as loud or sound as good as cans due to the fact they are not in your ear canal or have larger speakers like over the ear cans. These headphones do support 24/96khz lossless over Bluetooth from source material/streaming services that have content that supports it. They also support Dolby Atmos and positional sound for movies/shows. Another neat feature is they have head tracking so that if you turn your head left/right/up/down the focal point of sound will also change accordingly. Very cool and unexpected.
Noise Cancelling - yes these have open-ear noise reduction which is pretty amazing. You can control the level of ambient sound as well as how much noise is cancelled. I immediately notice the shift in noise-cancelling as it blocks out all the sound from my PC fans and 3D printer while I am wearing them as well as the loud sounds of the subway while riding. I'm sure it'll do great on a plane as well.
Comfort - As mentioned, these are extremely comfortable with all the parts touching your ear made of super soft silicone. The open-ear design not touching the hard inner ear and cartilage of your ear make it very comfortable for long wearing sessions and the wrap around behind your ear like sunglasses make them much more secure feeling compared to in-ear designs. Also, because they don't fit snug into your inner ear, there's no different tips to mess with.
Battery life and Specs - I can't really comment too much on this because there's so little info out and available for these, but I've gotten 6 hours of mixed music and call use before needing to charge. It appears as if the case gives roughly 2 charges before it then needs to also be charged. The case does also support wireless/Qi charging which is great if you have a phone/charging stand that supports it. They also support Bluetooth MultiPoint Pairing up to 2 devices and the Shokz App clearly shows what devices are connected so you don't have to manage this from your Bluetooth settings. The app paired my OpenFit Pro quickly and easily as soon as I entered pairing mode (hold down case button for 3-5 seconds until LED flashes). I'm sure there's some IP water proof rating on these but again, I can't find any specs on them so far, but they are built for active use. I'll be putting them through the paces while mowing the lawn, doing yard work, running and biking etc.
Love these Shokz Openfit Pro earbuds, I highly recommend them as someone who has tried a LOT of these and never found a pair that checked all the boxes, until now.

These earbuds have amazing sound depth and clarity! They are "open ear" earbuds meaning that they fit outside the ear canal, not in the ear canal. They are basically speakers that hang close to the ear canal and that may be why they're able to deliver great, immersive sound. The Bass is very impressive; you can actually feel the bass vibrations. The design is great not only for the sound but also for the fit - they can't fall out of your ear like regular in-ear buds are susceptible to doing.
Features in the Shokz app include noise reduction, Dolby Audio, equalizer, multi-point pairing (2 devices), Head tracking, and Smart Wear detection. Noise reduction is highly effective, and adjustable. The equalizer has 5 presets - Standard, Vocal, Bass Boost, Treble Boost, and Private, plus the ability to customize. The Private setting is designed to reduce "leakage" of sound that may occur due to the open ear design. That would be good for a quiet environment where you don't want to disturb others. Head tracking is an interesting feature - the balance of the sound moves left to right or right to left as you turn your head, as if the source of the sound was at a fixed point. For example, as you turn your head to the right the sound moves to the left having the effect of the sound source still coming from the direction you were originally facing before you turned your head.
Operation is simple. With Smart Wear Detection turned on, the earbuds will immediately start playing music when worn. A single button on either earbud can adjust volume, answer/disconnect/reject calls, play/pause and move to next/last track and turn on/off noise reduction.
The earbuds come with a charging case, USB-C charging cable, 2 support accessories designed to help secure the earbuds during wear if needed, user guide, and warranty card.
These earbuds have a premium price tag but you're getting premium sound, premium features and a great design. I think they're well worth it.

Impressive sound-stage for ear buds

Comparing these to classic earbuds pretty much mimics open vs closed headphones. Close, more bass and sound but less immersion. Open, wide sound-stage like you're in the concert but sacrifice some sound because of the openness. So make a choice whether you want louder sounds and isolation or if you want to feel like you're in the sound but still have awareness of your environment.
Fitting the OpenFit was kinda weird for me. I wasn't familiar how to get them to sit right in my ear so that they can direct the sound. Even after fidgeting for a bit I still can't get it as good as when I use my fingers to hold them in my sweet spot. But at least where they rest I can still hear what's going on around me, the reason why I wanted these buds. While the sound is great it's still weaker than inserted earbuds. The bass can come out as a buzz instead of a thump and pound but that's a trade-off I'm will to accept.
The app has some tweaking settings and doesn't require an account to access the features of your buds. So great job there since I think it's ridiculous to force someone to create an account just to use an equalizer or chance button functions.
And speaking of buttons - these are physical buttons! No more accidental taps or wonder if it even registered a tap. You can feel the button depress and know you've pressed a command. Touch buds always leave me frustrated.
The OpenFit has noise cancelling, but I think that takes away from the reason for me to use it. It works, but not as good as isolated inner buds. On my tests it does well with steady droning sounds, like a car or window AC blowing. It doesn't handle someone talking very well and almost like the cancelling is non-existent in those scenarios.
For me, these buds are perfect for working out. I can hear what's going on while still losing myself in the workout and music. Hopefully these last as long or longer as my old buds did.

Great Sound w/User-centric Features

The first thing I thought when I opened the box was, that is a good looking case. There’s just something about rounded corners! I have a bit of a hearing loss so I sometimes wear over the counter hearing aids. Those typically go inside the ear so you don’t see them. The Shokz earphones go over the back part of the ear and then kind of rest inside, the outside of the ear. I thought for sure they would fall off, but after several sideway and forward bends including a bit of wrestling with the dog, they are still in the exact same spot. More importantly, incredibly comfortable. After twenty minutes or so I forgot I was wearing them.
The sound is amazing. Even better the distance is substantial. By distance I am referring to how far away I can be from my phone and the Shokz earphones work just like the phone is next to me. I was able to go outside the house both front and backyard a good ways. Was having a phone conversation and went into the kitchen to get a glass of water and my friend commented how I sounded like I was right next to her. For music on my phone I have the volume at about 40%. For telephone calls I turn it up to almost 90% and I hear everything perfectly. No buzzing, no pops, no cracks just clear as a bell. These are definitely a keeper.
The app is pretty helpful. I really like how it explains what “Smart Wear Detection” and “Latency Optimization” will do right under the option so you can decide if you want the feature turned on. Also, you can customize the controls so you can decide if you want one click or two to turn off the earphones. And I think the Multipoint Pairing will be fantastic when I am work. It allows you to connect the earphones to both your phone and another device, for me it will be laptop. The earphones have great sound and the app adds really user centric fantastic features. 5 stars all the way around.

The Shokz OpenFit Pro Earbuds are an interesting take on earbuds, rather than going inside your ears these go over your ear and offer a surprisingly great sound profile with excellent noise cancellation. The fact that these don't go inside of your ear make them extremely comfortable for all day wear, with quick charging in the case you are able to easily use these for a full work day if needed.
With the over the ear hook, these things are surprisingly stable allowing you to move around and run without worries of losing the earbuds. They also feature an IP55 rating making them water and sweat proof, great for exercising. The noise cancellation helps make loud environments more quiet and isolated, with several different modes allowing for customizable noise cancellation.
The Shokz app allows you to customize noise reduction and sound profiles making it a perfect companion for these earbuds. They also feature an option to find your earbuds if you happen to misplace them by making the earbud make a noise making it easier to find them.
These are surprisingly great earbuds with noise cancellation and sound that will leave you amazed from an "openfit" earbud. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone looking for a great pair of earbuds.

These earbuds are surprisingly great in terms of sound quality. I’ve tried other open earbuds and the sound quality is usually the weakest point of these types of earbuds but these sound the best so far. These types of earbuds are for people who need to let outside sound sound in for safety reasons or just doesn’t like silicone ear tips or plastic buds inside their ears. The battery life is great on these. They’re rated for like 50 hours per charge and that’s not bad. You should be getting around 20+ these days if you don’t have to worry about Active Noise cancellation like these. These buds offer Dolby which is supposed to work atmos like how Apple offers it. Supposed to be surround sound for earbuds. I don’t notice a huge difference with these tho. This also works with Shokz app and lets you change how the button works and if you want to use the Dolby Atmos, and Noise Reduction. The noise reduction works better than expected. I found it reduces noise quite well considering there is no ear tips. The buds aren’t IP67 or better which for what they are meant for I did lower it a star.
