I bought these for my husband. He intends to use them at work. He is able to listen to news/music while he works but still can hear what's going on around him. He said he loves them and they work really well. If you read the sizing chart on AfterShokz website, most people will need the mini so please pay attention to that when ordering.

Best thing about bone conduction headphones in general is the ability to hear your surroundings when you're outside. There's nothing covering your ears or inside your ears like traditional headphones or ear buds. The downside is the sound quality - don't expect much but that's not why you buy BC headphones. It's about listening to music/podcast/audio books when you're outside but need to hear what's around you. Something not mentioned a lot about BC headphones is that the wire frame that goes around the back of you neck will interfere in the gym or anywhere you have to lie on your back.

I loved these for running, grocery shopping, and studying! One of the worst parts about earbuds is that they create a blind spot in my hearing so I'll do a 360 sometimes trying to figure out where a noise came from. These are so much better in that they don't disrupt my natural hearing. It's nice to be able to have the peace of mind that I can hear everything going on in my surroundings.
