These are comfortable to wear, extremely stable during exercise, and best of all I avoid the discomfort of having something in my ear for extended periods of time. Battery life is very good, app is easy to use. Don’t expect sound cancellation, but do expect awareness of your surroundings and very good sound quality.

A marked improvement over the 1st OpenRun Pro

I have been using the first generation of the OpenRun Pro for running and walking for about two years now, and I decided to see if this new version made them better- the answer is absolutely YES. Battery life is a little bit better, the fit and comfort are still just as good, but the sound is markedly better. Music and voice are clearer and richer, and this version avoids the vibration feeling you could get with the previous generation. On my runs I listen to audiobooks, podcasts, and music, and these headphones do well with all of them. You will still get better sound from high-quality earbuds or over-ear headphones, but if you want to still be able to hear around you for safety, like I do on runs, these are great.

My husband and I are best friends, we used to like to talk on the phone all day long even if we weren’t talking even if he was just working and I was dealing with our children. Last year he lost his set of headphones so we haven’t been able to talk on the phone. Until Father’s Day! I got him these so that he could be hands-free and still hear equipment running in the background. I thought it was the best of both worlds. 10 out of 10 would recommend love these so much. Now he gets to work in his peaceful tractor and listen to me yell at our two children over his new headphones!!! it’s been so great that I have just ordered me the mini ones!! super excited about those!!!

So I went out of state and left my charging cable at home. So had to get another. Cable wasnt available so purchased the next version of my original headphones. Not 100% sure how, but these sound way better than my old ones. I am loving the sound quality of these.

I had the original aftershokz. After about 2 years they quit working. These are better overall for listening without ear plugs in. Battery life lasts me over 8 hours and they're very comfortable. My only issue is that theyre quieter then the previous model so it makes it harder to hear with noise in the background

I purchased this headset to replace an older pair of Shokzs. The USB c charging was a big selling point because it meant I wouldn't have to keep up with another type of charger for just the headset. The battery seems to run out just a little quicker than my previous Shokz but it definitely charges faster so I consider it a win. The audio output is also much improved over previous pairs is Shokz. I highly recommend.

Exactly as advertised, great sound quality for bone conduction by keeping some frequencies in a near the ear speaker. Also better battery life this way. Very happy with the purchase.

This headset is very comfortable, the battery life is great, and they also look good too. The only downside is that my power button is not working after having it for a little while, and i am not sure if this is a defect or not. Other then that its a great product.

Where's the Bone Conduction??? Low base + Low vol

Overall these are pretty good. The quality of the sound is nice and clear, albeit low volume. And the battery life is long, and changes quick. But the new tech seems to not be doing any bone conduction at all (or VERY little). If I take and hold them half of an inch off of my skin (not touching me at all), the sound quality doesn't change at all. These have little speakers that emit sound into your ear cup instead of relying on the vibrations via bone conduction. I think because of this, the bass is very low. Just for transparency, the volume was so low, I consulted a friend who has had many bone conduction variants and they told me these had to be broke. So I exchanged them for a new pair, and the new pair are the same. I can barely hear a podcast at max volume, while jogging on a windy day. Other issue I have are with the high end. The ends are magnetic and snap together. When they do, you can hear a subtle ringing sound. This ringing sound also occurs with many mid-high to high frequencies and can be quite annoying.

    • Brand response from Shokz
      Posted .

Hi Taylor- Shokz here. We're very sorry to hear this has been your experience. We’re excited to share that we’ve just upgraded to the latest firmware version, and it can be updated via the Shokz app for the best experience with your OpenRun Pro 2. There is also a phone setting that may resolve the low volume issue. -On the iPhone, go to Settings > Sound & Haptics > Headphone Safety, make sure that the Reduce Loud Audio Feature is switched off as this will affect the volume of the headphone. -On an Android, go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphone and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for it. If you decide these are not a good fit for you, we have a 45-day return window. Please visit our website, click "Support" and "Return Center" to begin a claim. Thank you! AfterShokzCHT

I have been wearing my open earbuds for over a week. And a 1/2 now have not taken them off. These things are amazing. I don't know why anybody would ever want to use. No easy counseling unless it's for a specific reason. The other one just kept falling out of my ears. These things you can jog run. Do whatever you want. I'm absolutely loving them. Don't hesitate great quality. Good connection.
