I would definitley reccomend this over wired/over ear headphones.

The sound quality of this model, compared to the original, is massively improved, but you lose the main points of getting bone conduction which are privacy and water resistance. This adds air conductance bass for better sound, which means people around you will hear the music now. It also needs ports for that air conduction, which can't get wet. I loved the fact that I could shower with the original model. It was super relaxing to listen to a podcast in the shower, with the side benefit of getting a nice clean headset each day. This headset can't be cleaned unless you carefully wipe it with a damp napkin and avoid the speaker holes. Having said all this, there is no denying the massive improvement for music quality and clarity. Air conductance just blows away bone only. I wish they had spent just a little more effort on this to make it washable and water proof. It could be done, and I hope they do it for the next model.
