When you wear this, it fits really well on the ear, and you would notice it is barely there (it feels like it). Until you turn on your best audio track. This packs a puch, you dont expect it to beat any of the audiophile cans, but the sound is immersive and satisfying. You wear it for a run or take your kids to the park, uou will hear the surroundings and the kids playing, yet the music is immersive. After wearing it for long time You notice there is no fatigue at all. Loving it so far. Baytery is good last for couple of days fir me, your situations might be different. Overall go for it!

The Shokz OpenRun 2 are my go-to workout headphones, and honestly, I don’t think I could go back to regular earbuds. The bone conduction tech keeps my ears open, so I can still hear traffic, people, or whatever chaos is happening around me, which is perfect for running or working out outside. They’re super lightweight, stay in place no matter how much I move, and don’t leave my ears sore after hours of wear. Sound quality is solid for what they are—not crazy deep bass, but crisp and clear enough to keep me pumped. Battery life is great, and they charge fast, which is a huge plus. If you want full noise isolation, these aren’t for you, but if you like staying aware of your surroundings while jamming out, they’re a game changer.

    Exceeded My Expectations

Since they were released, AirPods Pro have been my go to earbuds. They’re compact, conveniently turn on and pair to my iPhone right out of the case, and boast excellent sound quality and noise isolation. Now that temperatures are cooling down here in the Midwest, I’ve been doing a lot more walking/running, biking, house upgrades, and getting back to working on my project car. Even though AirPods have tranparency mode, I prefer to have my ears completely unoccluded while I’m in public or anywhere there is vehicle traffic, especially when I’m walking my dogs. When I’m working on my project car, I noticed that my AirPods would constantly get bumped out or start to slip out as I get sweaty and dirty. I picked up the Shokz Openrun Pro 2s for these applications and they fill this role perfectly. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my AirPods for general daily use, but now I grab for my Shokz any time I’m doing any of the aforementioned activities. I was a bit skeptical about sound quality and adequate volume with open air headphones, but the Shokz do not disappoint. They get plenty loud, have clear vocals, and plenty of bass. It feels like you have your own private concert going on with the benefit of it not bothering anyone else who might be in your immediate vicinity. Because the Shokz wrap around the ears, I’ve had no issues with them slipping due to sweat or falling off if bumped. They feel well built and have nice clickly manual controls right behind your right ear. They pair quickly every time. The hard shell case they come with is compact and can easily be stored in or clipped to any bag. The Shokz app is pretty basic, but allows you to see batttery percentage and change EQ settings. Long story short, if you’re an active person who wants to maintain complete situational awareness at all times, these are the headphones for you.

love the fit of these! I didn’t even try them in-store before buying, and they turned out to be perfect. I mainly use them for my bike rides, where it’s super important to stay aware of the surroundings — and these are ideal for that. The volume is just right; maybe it could go a few decibels louder, but it’s not really necessary and definitely not enough to take away from a 5-star rating. The controls are really convenient too — play/pause, skip, and volume up/down all work smoothly. Call quality is great as well. Everyone I’ve talked to says they can hear my voice perfectly clear. Overall, an excellent pair of headphones for active use!

The battery life is excellent, the sound quality is awesome, and the buttons are intuitive. They're comfortable while doing all sorts of physical activity, even for long periods of time. I've worn them for a few weeks for 8hrs at a time at work, no battery issues, and they don't really make your ears sore. Thanks to Shokz for MAKING BONE-CONDUCTION GREAT AGAIN.

Just awesome! Was hesitant about sound quality but it works great. My in ear Boise did better in quality but I only had one in my ear at a time. And of course I kept loosing the other one or the charging case. With these earphones I can hear my surroundings and the music. And my ears don’t hurt after using them for long period of time. Use the App it unlocks additional features. Battery life could be a little longer, but they charge fast.

I was a bit skeptical of these to begin with as I've never had bone conducting headphones before, but I really liked the design and wanted to be able to listen to music while still being able to hear what was happening around me at work and while I run. But oh man, are these amazing! They are extremely comfortable and the sound quality is much better than I expected. Battery live is solid too!

I have purchased 4 of these Shokz Bone conduction headphones 2 for me and two as gifts. The sound is great. Not having them plugged into my ear canal saves my hearing! So light and minimal size you hardly know you have them on. Unlike iPods they don’t fall out when you’re exercising! The company now offers a USB C CHARGING PORT instead of their magnetic one. A major improvement, more secure attachment to charging cable. I previously owned another company’s bone conduction headphones they were 1/3rd the price. As my best friend has told me “ Buy cheap, buy twice!” The sound had little to no bass so it was particularly harsh. Buy Shokz!

The sound quality is very good. Excellent for the price. Easy connect. The app is simple and easy to use. I like the multipoint pairing option. I’ve owned about 6 pairs of bone conduction open ear sports headphones over the course of the past 10 years and all have been durable. They are still working and they still have long lasting battery life. The battery life on this model is amazing and they perform very well through various intense sports sessions.

These are comfortable to wear, extremely stable during exercise, and best of all I avoid the discomfort of having something in my ear for extended periods of time. Battery life is very good, app is easy to use. Don’t expect sound cancellation, but do expect awareness of your surroundings and very good sound quality.

Amazing customization in the Shokz app. I like being able to turn on the classic only bone conduction if I don’t want the speakers to play. The OGs came with ear plugs and I use some called loops and the sound is just amazing with mowing without blasting over headphones and getting hot ears. I have always had trouble with all types of in ear ear buds hurting my ears after 30 mins of wear. These are so light I forget I’m wearing them when I pause my music. The battery life and recharge are some of the best!

Love the way these sound, and the ability to easily hear others when they talk to me without having to remove an earbud. It is almost as if there was music playing in the room and someone was speaking with you. This is hugely valuable when sharing a space with people. I also like the feeling of openness to the environment and "presence" when cycling or walking. I was a bit concerned about buying the steel blue model even though it was on sale, as the blue looked somewhat gaudy and childish/cheap in the photos. But it looks great in real life, more subtle and appropriate for a solid piece of equipment. Very pleased. It does sound a bit softer than other headphones I have, so I find myself setting the volume higher.

Hi Dan- Shokz here! We're glad to hear you're loving your new OpenRun Pro 2! We’re excited to share that we’ve just upgraded to the latest firmware version, and it can be updated via the Shokz app for the best experience with your OpenRun Pro 2. There is also a phone setting that may resolve the low volume issue. -On the iPhone, go to Settings > Sound & Haptics > Headphone Safety, make sure that the Reduce Loud Audio Feature is switched off as this will affect the volume of the headphone. -On an Android, go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphone and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for it. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any questions. Thanks! AfterShokzCHT

A good upgrade after my open run shokz that unfortunately broke after a couple years. The sound quality is a nice upgrade a the battery is great. It charges quickly and uses a USB c port, which is convenient over the proprietary connection of the old ones

These are great headphones for outdoor exercise when you need to be aware of your surroundings. Also great for doing yard work, auto work or anything that requires bending down. Too often my iPods have fallent out around the yard. Sound, comfort, USB-C, it checks all the boxes except one, I miss the full Siri intergration like my iPods Pro! I didnt realize how much I used Siri but I’m ok for the tradeoff for right now. If I want full isolation and sound cancelation I switch to my iPod Pros.

    Too large for my ears

I was excited to use these OpenRun Pro 2’s by Shokz, as I had heard so much about them. Visually, they look “basic”, nothing really exciting about them other than that large band that will wrap around the back of your neck/base of your head. I put them on and I immediately knew they were not going to work. There is this large gap for the loop over my ears and rest outside the tragus (flap of cartilage in front of the ear canal) portion of the ear. They do not go inside the ear canal like traditional over-ear or in-ear earbuds. The purpose is for you to be completely aware of your surroundings if you are jogging, hiking, cycling and there are multiple points of danger around you. At the same time, you are able to listen comfortably to your music or podcasts, etc. The problem with me is the loop is so large that it rests way ahead of my tragus and I am not able to hear much of anything, even at full audio level. The loop does not conform whatsoever with my ears, I guess I have small ears? Even the band that goes at the back of the neck rests comfortably there but I was hoping there was an option to shorten it so that it can be snug around there. I’ve tried running outside with these on and I am able to hear about 50% of the content I had playing. At times, because they are on the larger side, they move up and down the ear and so I am afraid they are going to fall off. If I hold on to them with my hands and kind of move them back towards the canal, then I can get a more richer sound. Battery life is actually really good for these, as they lasted around 12 hours on my battery test. That is actually excellent compared to my other ear-buds that I own and use. Sound quality is not great as they sound tinny and not enough base. I would have liked to have louder volume on these. Overall, I do not believe that these OpenRun Pro 2’s are meant for me. They are just too large and don’t fit my head/ears. As a result I am not able to hear much of anything I am trying to listen to. Yes, they do allow me to be more aware of my surroundings, but I might as well be listening to my phone on speaker.
