Since they were released, AirPods Pro have been my go to earbuds. They’re compact, conveniently turn on and pair to my iPhone right out of the case, and boast excellent sound quality and noise isolation. Now that temperatures are cooling down here in the Midwest, I’ve been doing a lot more walking/running, biking, house upgrades, and getting back to working on my project car. Even though AirPods have tranparency mode, I prefer to have my ears completely unoccluded while I’m in public or anywhere there is vehicle traffic, especially when I’m walking my dogs. When I’m working on my project car, I noticed that my AirPods would constantly get bumped out or start to slip out as I get sweaty and dirty. I picked up the Shokz Openrun Pro 2s for these applications and they fill this role perfectly. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my AirPods for general daily use, but now I grab for my Shokz any time I’m doing any of the aforementioned activities. I was a bit skeptical about sound quality and adequate volume with open air headphones, but the Shokz do not disappoint. They get plenty loud, have clear vocals, and plenty of bass. It feels like you have your own private concert going on with the benefit of it not bothering anyone else who might be in your immediate vicinity. Because the Shokz wrap around the ears, I’ve had no issues with them slipping due to sweat or falling off if bumped. They feel well built and have nice clickly manual controls right behind your right ear. They pair quickly every time. The hard shell case they come with is compact and can easily be stored in or clipped to any bag. The Shokz app is pretty basic, but allows you to see batttery percentage and change EQ settings. Long story short, if you’re an active person who wants to maintain complete situational awareness at all times, these are the headphones for you.

My son bought a pair of these OpenRun Pro 2 a little over a month ago and let me try them. I quite like the convenience and sound quality of these so I decided to buy one as well. I don't do well with earbuds because they tend to fall out quite easily. These open-ear headphones not only stay on comfortably, but also allow me to be aware of my surroundings. The side button for quickly answering phone calls is nice as well. I remember trying out the first generation OpenRun Rro in Best Buy over a year ago. I did not really like how they would constantly vibrate the temples of my head when the volume was higher. Also, they had a dedicated charging cable that was not USB-A or C. this second regeration OpenRun Pro 2 fixed both of those issues for me. There is no longer vibrations on each side of my head, and the USB-C charging means I can just use the same cable to charge my phone/tablet/headphones. The longer battery life over the first generation is a nice upgrade too. Of course, if you're looking for noise cancellation features or are out in public places where the noise level is high, these headphones won't be the right fit.

I’ve been using the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 for a few weeks now, and they’ve completely changed how I think about workout headphones. The bone conduction technology really delivers — I can clearly hear my music and podcasts while still being fully aware of my surroundings, which is a big plus for running or cycling outdoors. The Steel Blue color looks sleek and stands out just enough without being flashy. The fit is secure and comfortable, even during long sessions — no ear fatigue, no slipping, and I forget they’re even there after a few minutes. Sound quality has noticeably improved from previous models. The bass response is stronger, and the midrange clarity is great for both music and calls. While they’ll never hit the deep bass of in-ear headphones, the tradeoff for comfort and situational awareness is absolutely worth it. Battery life is excellent — around 9–10 hours on a full charge, and the quick charge feature is a lifesaver when you need to top up before a workout. The controls are intuitive, and Bluetooth connectivity has been flawless with my phone and watch. If you’re someone who runs, bikes, or just prefers open-ear comfort and awareness, the OpenRun Pro 2 is one of the best you can get right now. Pros: Outstanding comfort and secure fit Great sound for bone conduction Quick charging and long battery life Safer for outdoor workouts Sleek, durable build Cons: Not ideal for very noisy environments Pricey compared to standard earbuds

My hearing is fading and speach is hard to hear when I listen to audio books. When I wear the shockz I hear speach just great. East to use. Do not fall out like ear buds. Comfortable to wear.

This open-ear headset does a great job of staying in place and being fairly comfortable. The range is excellent. It filters wind very well. I wish it had another 20% volume at time, but overall very very impressed. I gave one to my father for Fathers Day and he is also enjoying it!

When you wear this, it fits really well on the ear, and you would notice it is barely there (it feels like it). Until you turn on your best audio track. This packs a puch, you dont expect it to beat any of the audiophile cans, but the sound is immersive and satisfying. You wear it for a run or take your kids to the park, uou will hear the surroundings and the kids playing, yet the music is immersive. After wearing it for long time You notice there is no fatigue at all. Loving it so far. Baytery is good last for couple of days fir me, your situations might be different. Overall go for it!

The Shokz OpenRun 2 are my go-to workout headphones, and honestly, I don’t think I could go back to regular earbuds. The bone conduction tech keeps my ears open, so I can still hear traffic, people, or whatever chaos is happening around me, which is perfect for running or working out outside. They’re super lightweight, stay in place no matter how much I move, and don’t leave my ears sore after hours of wear. Sound quality is solid for what they are—not crazy deep bass, but crisp and clear enough to keep me pumped. Battery life is great, and they charge fast, which is a huge plus. If you want full noise isolation, these aren’t for you, but if you like staying aware of your surroundings while jamming out, they’re a game changer.

I purchased the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 for my father, and they have been a fantastic find. He’s always struggled with traditional earbuds being uncomfortable or falling out, but these sit perfectly. Once I helped him through the initial pairing and configuration, he found them very easy to use daily. The bone conduction technology is the real winner here—he loves that he can listen to his podcasts or music while still being fully aware of his surroundings. The sound quality is surprisingly crisp for an open-ear design. It’s a solid, well-built product that delivers exactly what it promises.

This product has been a good purchase for me. It has great sound with the ability to hear those around me. It sits comfortably on my ears and head wide enough to make it loose enough. The battery has been a good and long lasting. My son is also considering purchasing one for himself.

I bought the orange Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 wireless bone-conducting headphones for my husband, and they’ve been an absolute game changer. He’s a roadside diesel service technician and spends hours on the road every day. These headphones let him stay fully connected with dispatch hands-free, all while still being able to hear what’s going on around him — which is incredibly important for staying safe while working along busy highways. The sound quality is excellent, the fit is comfortable enough for all-day wear, and the battery easily keeps up with his long shifts. The bright orange color has actually been a huge bonus too — it makes them easy to spot so he isn’t constantly misplacing them when he’s home. If you work in a loud or high-risk environment and need something that delivers clear calls without blocking out your surroundings, these are absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

These open run/open ear headphones are great. Compared to my Samsung pro ear buds, I like these for my bike riding where I can hear the traffic and emergency vehicles without interfering with m music. The audio quality if great and the comfort is awesome. You dont have to worry about them slipping off line earbuds. I have recommended the open ear headphones to my friends and they like them as well. It 's just good to have a pair of headphones that perform really well in all areas.

Surprised by sound quality and ease of use. Exactly what I was looking for. I use them mostly in crowded areas (theme parks) with lots of background noise. The sound comes through just fine and I can still hear my surroundings. There were a few times where they were drowned out, but those were few and far between. They also are forgettably comfortable. I mean that you'll forget you have them on. Extremely light and unobtrusive. As for the battery life. It longer than you'd think for such a small device. And since they've changed the charging port, recharging is a breeze and takes no time at all.

Great sound, sits well and is very light but stays on just fine. The bone conducting aspect is sometimes awesome for me, since I’m deaf in one ear but I can hear tones perfectly from bone conducting methods, so when I listen to music I can push the units against my head with a finger or with tight ear muffs, so that the bone conducting comes through clearly in my inner-ear hearing! For the first time, I can listen to music with stereo sound like magic! For normal ears (such as my other ear!) the bone conducting adds a little bit of sound, but you really have to push it against your skull (anywhere… cheek bone, jaw bone, head, anywhere) in order to hear it through the bone conduction. The regular sound through the end of it transmitting sound waves through the air does most of the work.

Solid construction, audio quality is surprisingly great for the minimalist design coupled with the hybrid drivers features. Was not expecting the low frequency ranges to sound as good as they are either. Also incredibly comfortable. Forget pretty frequently that I am wearing them. Battery is pretty decent, not class leading but it will definitely hold up for whatever purposes you need this headset for.

Best headset I've found for cycling and hanging out at the pool. Looks great, has solid bass and great sound. You do get a fair amount of wind noise on a bike, but that's to be expected. Cellphone calls also have superb clarity, amd battery life is strong. Also love the color/look/style. The only thing that would improve it is if the neck piece was adjustable for different sized heads.

I work in fire and ems so being able to hear the tones is essential while working out or doing daily activities around the station. These headphones have great clarity, battery life, and sound without everybody else hearing what your listening too. Not only that, when I go to the gym, being able to bring these into the sauna without worry of the sweat damaging them has been a huge upside! I’ve had numerous headphones die due to that reason (sweat). Such as my beats or Galaxy budd pro 3s. Connectivity is very nice. Only downside to these headphones I realize is when I do have to get up for a call, they do not auto turnoff when disconnected. Outside of that small flaw, these headphones have been phenominal for my everyday life and career!

Nice comfortable headphones with good sound quality. The only shortcoming in my opinion is the volume isn’t quite loud enough. It’s probably a good thing while out running but there are times I would like it louder. All in all, a good buy.

Awesome headphones with awesome clarity and volume range compared to other sets in the bone conduction space. These are comfortable, don’t block my hearing or sit inside my ears (normal headphones make my ears raw). You can, however, turn them up enough to tune out distractions if required. I really enjoy the quality step up compared to the previous gen. While those would give you the effect of bass via thumps against your face, the dual drivers in these give enough bass to not sound “tinny” aimed right into your ear —and it’s only barely audible to others standing close by in particularly bass heavy music at near max volume (no more leak than normal headphones from what I can tell when letting others try them). The mids and highs are handled via bone conduction, and since they are their own channel and driver, they don’t become muddied like older tech that tried to mix all 3 through one driver. The battery life is awesome too. They boast 12 hours of continuous use, but I rarely use them non-stop, so they last me all day at work and for some music/gaming when I get home (they work great with dynamic sound that tries to mimic 3D sound). They charge pretty quickly too, and I don’t have to worry about losing one like I do with small, in ear headphones. The only thing I would change is adding a sensor that can tell when they’re on your face. You do need to power them off and reconnect in order to show someone something on your phone that requires volume. Small gripe that only takes a few seconds, but it’s one area they can improve. On the plus side, they sync up quickly and don’t drop signal. Reconnecting after sharing is problem free. Best set I’ve bought in a long, long while overall, honestly!
