OK for anyone that is interested I think the sound quality is way better than the first GEN of these but at the same time the volume does not get as loud. I think the sound quality does make up for these dramatically now that being said I’ve only had these for one day and I find myself using it so far on two different phones without any problem at all if you’re looking for better sound quality over the first GEN I would highly recommend it.
Also, one thing to keep in mind if you find yourself having to turn up the first gin due to a loud environment, these may not be the best for that type of listening for.

I purchased the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 for my father, and they have been a fantastic find. He’s always struggled with traditional earbuds being uncomfortable or falling out, but these sit perfectly.
Once I helped him through the initial pairing and configuration, he found them very easy to use daily. The bone conduction technology is the real winner here—he loves that he can listen to his podcasts or music while still being fully aware of his surroundings. The sound quality is surprisingly crisp for an open-ear design. It’s a solid, well-built product that delivers exactly what it promises.

Excellent for running. I love being able to hear around me while still listening to music on runs. Batteries last me the entirety of sunday long runs. Used them in multiple marathons so far and havent had any issues during race.

Shokz is the number 1 brand for a reason. I did purchase these to replace a set that the power button failed on that I had used constantly for over a year. I also submitted a claim with Shokz for my original ones and had another brand new set arrive within 2 days of my submission. I kept these cool Blue ones and gave the replacement to my stepson.
Shokz has great support, and their customer claim was super easy. Make sure you register them via the card in the box, or else you'll struggle like I did finding the serial number in extremely tiny print around the charging port.

I come from the very first best bone conduction headphones when the company was called aeropex by aftershokz. I upgraded to the open run pro, now called shokz, and was disappointed by the Bluetooth longevity. Now, I purchased the new open run pro 2 with the nice blue and gray color, and im im love again. They connect fast and sound way better than the rest. They also use fast charge with usb c vs. usb magnet cable. I guess the next best would be the open swim pro, which has everything and %100 swim proof. I also have the swim headphones by shokz but they only work with a memory card that you have to manually download music to play under water. I highly recommend this for your first bone conduction headphones they will not disappoint.

I gave this product five stars. it's a great improvement over the older model which I used for 3yrs. until the power button gave out on me. Sound quality is much better and battery life longer.

Great product, the only draw back would be more volume. Love the fit. Its awesome not having something directly in my ear. Would love a little bit higher volume setting. But they are perfect in the work place. Great to not have to remove something from your ear to speak with people.
