Poor audio quality/poor Bluetooth connectivity
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very poor sound and bass. I felt like I was in a 90s car. When someone replaces the blown out speaker with a home stereo speaker. Also very difficult to connect to my phone. Took me like 20 minutes to connect. Even with bestbuy employee helping me.

Too small..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit is far too small for my head. The microphone pinches really hard against my nose. Or against my lip.. a viable solution is to wear them backwards with the microphone resting on the back of my neck

Too small. Not suitable for bigger head sizes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Too small for my head! "Down in front! Crys himself to sleep on his huge pillow!" Great sound, spatial awareness and safety in mind.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 headphones are phenomenal! They are a newly upgraded version of Shokz’ in the bone conduction headphone lineup, created specifically for sports, training, and the all-around active enthusiast in mind. Sound Quality The first and foremost importance in any headphones. In my opinion this is what cuts the mustard for any headphones, and they need to sound good, or I’m not interested. These do not disappoint. These OpenRun Pro 2 headphones sound great even through rough motions, workouts, or any activities that may tend dislodge other sport headphones. The bone conduction technology transmits sound through your cheekbones, allowing you to hear your surroundings while listening to music or podcasts. I really like this feature and it makes me feel more confident while on an outdoor run or working out in a busy gym where hearing the surrounding sounds/noises/talking/warnings can impact my workout and safety. Highs are high and deep rich bass throughout their frequency response. Quite impressive bass response and surprisingly robust for bone conduction headphones. The open-ear design does result in some top volume loss compared to traditional in-ear headphones, but this is a fair trade-off for the increased awareness and confidence they afford. Design and Comfort These headphones maintain Shokz’ signature design with a lightweight titanium frame, making it flexible and durable. The headphones rest comfortably on the cheekbones, leaving your ears open, which, as I mentioned, really works great and makes a difference in situational awareness during outdoor activities or anytime you need to hear things going on around you. The fit is secure, even during intense workouts, and the wraparound design ensures they stay in place throughout any activities I’m doing. Battery Life Excellent battery life, offering an impressive 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, giving them much more endurance than I could ever try to challenge with my workouts. They also offer a quick charge feature which will provide about 90 minutes of use from just a quick 5 minutes of charging. Connectivity and Controls The headphones use Bluetooth 5.2, giving them a stable connection with minimal to no latency. Pairing is simple and straightforward. They support a nifty multipoint pairing feature which allows you to connect to two devices simultaneously if so desired. The buttons on the frame are easy to navigate and access, even while on the move. These include typical music, volume, and phone controls without needing to reach for your actual phone. Water Resistance These headphones have a standard IP55 rating, making them resistant to sweat, dust, and rain, so they’re suitable for pretty much any activities indoor or outdoor, just not swimming. Conclusion I’ve really enjoyed using these Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 headphones. They are definitely an great choice for fitness oriented athletes and active individuals who prioritize comfort and maintaining safe surroundings.

Comfortable powerful headphones for active runners
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bluetooth headphones are a must for the active runner, and it doesn't hurt to show a little style and comfort as well. Shokz introduces the OpenRun Pro 2 Series headphones, utilizing bone conduction technology with an open ear design that provides the secure fit and premium sound to keep your head and mind focused on what's important - the run. Boxed in fully-recyclable packaging, the OpenRun Pro 2 Series headset is compact and light. The included hard-shell zippered case is larger than most headphones cases, but it provides exceptional protection and even holds an included USB-C cable when not in use. The band that sits around the back of the head is round, thin but sturdy, and coated in a water-resistant soft, rubberized surface. It charges quickly through a waterproof USB-C port, and the surface features only three minimal-focused buttons whose various long and short presses control the volume, navigation, and connectivity of the device. The battery lasts a while, with the automated voice telling you your battery level each time you turn on the headset. Shokz really makes sure the OpenRun Pro 2 provides comfort above all else. Hooked over the top of the ears, the headphones are feather light and only noticeable by the slight press of the device near, but not inside, the ears. It wraps pretty perfectly around my head, but the headset only bends and does not adjust bigger or smaller, so it may not be as snug as my experience for different sized heads. At any rate, I love the fit and it really provides comfort and security over the long haul. Whether it be long distance running or short interval sprinting, the OpenRun Pro 2 headphones stayed in place nicely through all the sweaty, sticky sessions during this humid, sweltering summer and under some heavy, swirling rains during a few runs. While the device goes largely unnoticed due to the comfortable fit, what's not inconspicuous is the big sound from an out-of-ear device. It has great highs and lows that you can really feel. It's a surprising, well-developed sound when compared to other similar bone conduction headsets that don't quite hit. Even podcasts and audiobooks sound great with the OpenRun Pro 2 Series headphones. When you're an active runner, the last thing you want to worry about is messing around with your headset. Shokz takes away the fuss with the OpenRun Pro 2 Series headphones that provide a comfortable, secure, and powerful audio experience. Make your run more enjoyable with this awesome headset.

Wonderful choice for running or cycling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The last headphones that I had that were similar to these were the original “Titanium” product in around 2016 and I hadn’t paid any attention to their later products until now. These OpenRun Pro 2 headphones, while definitely similar to the originals, are a huge improvement and I hope to be using them regularly for both running and cycling. They are very compact and light, and the part that wraps around my head is less obtrusive than before. My wife found that the band sticks out too much for comfort, but that is why they have the “mini” variation. The controls are minimal and easy to use. I especially like that they have an actual button for multi-function (play/pause/skip etc.) control. I’ve found that earbuds with touch-sensitive controls are difficult to operate, especially when doing something active, and I have probably cut off more than one incoming call because of it! The audio performance is pretty amazing considering how they work. From my standpoint it sounds just like the sound is coming from outside of my ears, yet there is very little sound “bleed” that someone nearby would hear. I had no adverse sensations from the bone-conduction technology and overall these are a lot more comfortable than having earbuds stuck in my ears. They also won’t pop out or require frequent readjustment to stay put. The OpenRun Pro can be paired with multiple devices, and has a “multipoint” feature that lets it pair with two devices at once. I haven’t found a use for multipoint but did pair it with my Pixel 8 smartphone as well as my Garmin smartwatch. Audio performance was excellent from both sources. There is a Shokz app that is an important companion to the headphones as it is the only way to access various advanced functions such as an equalizer. I found that using the Bass Boost setting improved things when listening to music. There is also a Vocal setting for optimizing the sound when listening to podcasts or audio books. In addition to their stated intention for running, I find these to be great for cycling, which is how I discovered the original Titanium product in the first place. It can be really important to maintain one’s awareness of the surroundings while cycling, and these headphones allow external sounds to come through without hindrance. Overall a great product that I will be using extensively going forward.

Super Comfy, Stay put, Great sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 headphones. I needed something that I could use during workouts without having to worry about them working their way loose and falling out mid set or run. I guess my ears are weird, because I can't find anything that stays put...until now. These headphones are super lightweight and very flexible. They are the most comfortable workout setup I've owned. Sound quality is fantastic. Plenty of high and mid. I was surprised at the level of low I can get out of such a small package. It's obviously not going to be like full over the ear units with larger drivers, but for this size, I'm very impressed. I actually have the bass turned down a bit just to keep the sound ultra clear. I think you will be able to get whatever you want out of these headphones. Operating is very simple. There are volume up and down buttons, with one of them doubling as power and pair. There is one multi function button on the left ear piece that you use to pause/play, answer/hang up calls, skip, and repeat. It's a physical button, so you have tactile feedback. While I like most of the touch sensitive stuff on the market, I have to admit that an actual button is kind of nice. The companion app on my phone is very basic. To some, that might seem like the wrong direction. I, however, prefer simplicity over a ton of gimmicky features that I'll never use. I have my choice of 4 preset EQ bundles. They each have their place depending on what you are listening to. I ended up creating my own custom EQ that I really enjoy. It's very simple to do. Beyond that, you can control multi device pairing and play/pause, etc if you don't want to use the buttons on the phones or your native music app. That's it. Very streamlined with only what you need. The case is nice. It a simple zipper case that is very lightweight. It has a molded interior so they aren't knocking around in the case when carried. A USB charging cable is included, but you need your own brick if you don't have USB power nearby from a laptop or whatever. Ya...I really do like this setup a lot. It stays put, sounds great, and it super easy to operate.

A Huge Upgrade in Bone Conduction Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz OpenRunPro2 headphones are a major upgrade in the world of bone conduction audio. The most noticeable improvement is the enhanced audio quality, which delivers a richer, more immersive listening experience. And now, when the bass is blasting, it's actually deep bass. They are meticulously balanced for all-day wear, ensuring comfort during extended use, whether you're at work or out for a long run. The volume boost compared to previous models makes it easier to hear in loud environments, a crucial feature for outdoor activities. The shift to USB-C charging from the previous proprietary charger is fantastic. It's one less cable to have to have on my desk. The inclusion of a high-quality carrying case and excellent battery life further enhances the overall user experience, while the removal of annoying talking notifications is a small but appreciated improvement. However, the headphones are not without their flaws. Or really just one single flaw. The multi-point pairing feature, which allows you to connect to multiple devices simultaneously, remains a weak spot. It's difficult to pair it to two devices let alone seamlessly switch back and forth between the two. Despite this, the Shokz OpenRunPro2's strengths far outweigh this shortcoming, making them an excellent choice for anyone seeking high-quality, comfortable, and durable headphones, especially for running or other outdoor activities where being aware of your environment is important. Pros: A huge leap in audio quality Balanced perfectly for all day wear Volume is louder than previous, easier to hear in loud environments USB-C charging instead of their proprietary charger! Great case included Excellent battery life Annoying talking notifications are gone Perfect for runs of all lengths Cons: Multi-point pairing is still bad

Best in class
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz open run pro 2 are truly premium bone conduction sports headphones that deliver great sound quality. Running with headphones has always been the bane of my existence. From the time of wired headphones to ever the ear headphones to in ear bluetooth headphones, I was never able to find a headphone that did not interfere with my run. I have also tried a different mainstream brand of bone conduction headphones however they were not comfortable to wear at all. As soon as I opened the box and the carrying case for the Shokz open run pro 2 I knew that I had a high quality product in my hands. The headphone were very easy to pair with my iPhone and they immediately showed a 80% charge. As soon as you start listening to music you find it hard to believe that people standing next to you can't hear much of what is coming out of the headphones. The sound quality makes it feel like I am wearing my in ear Bluetooth headphones. There was not 1 instance during my run where I had to specifically stop to adjust my headphones because they fell off or felt like they were going to fall off. They are so light that you may even forget that they are there on longer runs. I usually have to remove my AirPods once during my run because they start to become uncomfortable after long runs. The battery life should last you well over 12 hours as I am still waiting to charge them for the first time. The headphones can be charged via the USB c port. The headphones are IP55 water resistant so there is no need to worry about them shorting out from sweat. Phone calls sound very clear with adequate amounts of noise cancellation on your runs. I would definitely recommend the Shokz open run 2 pro headphones to anyone looking for new running headphones
