I cannot keep ear buds in my ears so this was the answer. I was introduced to them on an airplane by a company sales rep a year ago. To my surprise I found them in the store.

These are just the ticket. Good sound and I can still hear cars around me. Just realize, the sound will never equal your full-sized headphones. But they still sound quite nice!

The battery life is great and the best thing about them is that my ears are open and uncovered and I can talk/listen to music or audio and still hear everything going on around me. I love them!
