They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology. Fantastic!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been curious about these for a long time but i was nervous spending so much on an unfamiliar technology. They were deeply discounted recently and I got them. Im glad i did. Im glad I got a good price, but i think they’re worth more than I paid. They sound great, but most importnatly to me, they fit great. I wear them when I take my dog for walks, grocery shopping and when I ride my bike. They’re so comfortable, I often forget I have them on after a walk and only remember when i go to adjust my hair and feel them. Calls sound great, BT connection is solid, battery life is great. The controls are simple and easy to find and operate while wearing. I have just a couple things i wish were better, but these are very minor issues. I wish they turned off automatically after being idle for a long time, they could be a smidge louder, and I’d like a less bulky case with a built in charger. Although, the battery lasts so long that i havent needed to charge them often and having the charger separate allows for using a different case. They do have a new version that are two separate pieces more like traditional earbuds, but I actually like that these are connected becasue it makes them super securely attached to my head. Speaking of my head, its a big one and these fit no problem. I love these and they’ve quickly become my main set of headphones.

Clever piece of engineering
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Packaging was minimal and came with the headphones, a hard shell case, and a proprietary charging cable, that was short. I do wish that the charging cable was usb c to allow for using other cables that I already have and not having to have a dedicated cable for the headphones. The headphones are not heavy and are curved around the back of your head/neck. The heaviest part of the headphones being the part that attaches to the ear loop. The material of the headphones is smooth but leaves some finger prints if they are oily, but can be wiped off. Synching the headphones was probably the quickest and easiest synchronization I’ve ever done. It showed up right away. There’s only three buttons; the power button shares duties with one of the volume buttons at the bottom of the ear price behind the ear and the pause/play/answer/end call on the left ear piece. A long hold will power the headphones on and off. On power up it provides the battery level. It’s a tad annoying that it doesn’t do this in percentage, it just gives levels example high/medium. Sound is decent but is not for audio enthusiasts, but these headphones are not meant for that. They have a good microphone and sound quality for video and music. There is some sound that can be heard when standing next to a person wearing them depending on how loud the volume is. I could tell if it was music or talking happening if standing near the headphones. The most noticeable part when wearing the o headphones are the ear lol pieces. The loop guy goes behind the ear and is comfortable . For me the left earpiece sitting right before the tregas part of the ear is comfortable and sits right and doesn’t move. The right part of my ear I can’t get it to sit in the same comfortable spot it tends to love and push against it and is a tad painful after a few minutes. This may not be everyone and might me just me, but I never got it to sit right. Phone calls could be answered using the pause play button. The ring did come through on the headphones but was a little hard to hear compared to the phone ringing itself unless having the volume way up. I didn’t want it in call volume blaring so I had the headphone volume a medium which caused the problem. It’s fixable if you don’t kind having the volume way up. Having the volume all the way up or wait to put on for a sec the bass will vibrate and the buzzing sensation is crazy and a little off-putting. All together I love the one headphones. The sit and you don’t have to worry about them squeezing out of your ear and falling off and stop leave you open to being aware and gable to hear when needed.

Top shelf
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been looking at these headphones for a long time and had seen mixed reviews. I finally decided to pull the trigger and I’m glad i did. I’ve owned them for a month and use them all day every day. Here’s why I think they’re great: 1. They stay in place. I work in the trades. I work inside, outside, climbing ladders, crawling under things, upside down, in the dirt, in the rain, in attics, on roofs you name it. I never have to worry about these falling off. I have never been able to keep earbuds or “in ear headphones” in place and I’ve tried all of them. I wear them all day and sometimes I forget I’m wearing them. 2. They’re sturdy. I sweat. A lot. I work in south Florida. In the summertime I measure the heat by how many shirts I sweat through in a day. I also get dirty and work in environments that aren’t exactly “electronics friendly”. I’ve had other headphones that didn’t make it through the first day. 30 days in and these work just like they were new. 3. They keep my hands free. I can answer a call or pause my music with a touch of a button on the left side of the headphones. The volume buttons are on the right side. I don’t need to take my phone out or stick my dirty fingers in my ears either. The answer button is placed in such a way that I can even answer a call with the back of my hand. Not needing to take my gloves off to answer a call is awesome. 4. Situational awareness. I can listen to music and still hear what’s going on around me. This is a big one. With earbuds I feel like even if I paused the music I would still need to take them out to hear what people are saying. I also drive a golf cart and operate machinery. It’s a safety issue to be able to hear what’s going on. Even with music playing I can hear people talk at a conversational level. Noise cancelling headphones are great on a plane or in a waiting room, but they don’t work so well on a job site. As a bonus, they work with earplugs in. In fact, the music sounds a little better with earplugs in. So cool. 5. Decent sound quality. I’m not an audiophile, I just love music. I don’t need to have true recording studio sound at all times. I read many reviews that talk about the horrible sound quality, so my expectations were low. I was very surprised by how great they sound. They sound better than any cheap or midgrade headphones I have tried. I would say they give many “high end” headphones a run for their money too. Phone calls are hands down the clearest I’ve ever heard on any headphones. Ever. And I have not had anyone yet tell me that they can’t hear me. 6. Battery life. I put these on at 6am and I don’t take them off till I get home around 6pm. I listen to music all day and make/receive about 25-50 calls in that time period. I have not run out of battery yet. I don’t play music very loud, which probably helps with the battery life. Negatives? Well I’ll give you a couple. If you turn the music up full volume, the vibration behind the ear is a little uncomfortable. I never listen to it at full volume so it doesn’t matter to me. But it’s worth mentioning. Also, the part that wraps around the back of my head sits off my neck a little bit, so if I’m laying down it kinda pushes them off position a little. Also, if you have to wear “over the ear” style hearing protection, these will obviously interfere with that. That’s about all I can come up with for negatives. I love these things. If I lost or broke them tomorrow I would go straight to Best Buy to get another set. No question.

Great for running
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The original Shokz OpenRun Pro (launched September 2021) is a lightweight (~27 g), durable bone‑conduction headset ideal for runners and cyclists. It offers surprisingly clear sound and enhanced bass over earlier models while keeping your ears open for ambient awareness, thanks to PremiumPitch 2.0+ drivers, Bluetooth 5.1, multipoint connectivity, app-based EQ, and fast charging (5 min = ~90 min playback) shokz.com +15 accidentalrandonneur.wordpress.com +15 soundguys.com +15 . However, it uses a proprietary magnetic charging cable—a specific two-pin connector unique to Shokz—that’s convenient but means you can’t just grab any old USB-C cord if you lose it thetechnologyman.com +1 bestbuy.com +1 . The IP55 water resistance is solid but not swim-friendly, and mic quality is merely average. Overall, it’s a feature-packed, comfortable pick for outdoor use—just be sure to keep track of that one-of-a-kind charger or order a spare.

Great for running/physical activity
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was in the market for a pair of headphones for running, hiking, and other physical activity. Picked up the OpenRun Pro based off of Reddit recommendations. Was impressed with the fit and the tech. I had not previously experienced audio through bone conduction and came away impressed at the clarity of audio (at lower levels). The headphones felt comfortable out of the box and held up extremely well during runs/heavy workouts. Not having anything in the ears was a plus as well. Sadly, the audio quality just isn't there yet. While fairly clear at lower levels, the audio distorts a bit at higher levels (which I needed during runs as you your surroundings are much louder than with in-ear or over-the-ear headphones). The bass was also lacking, though that wasn't a huge issue for me as I don't like overdoing it on bass. I do like a little bit of bass, and it just gets lost, especially when doing physical activity. Battery life was fairly decent, no connection issues with an iPhone 11. Sadly, the audio quality was enough for me to move on. I'd still recommend these headphones for those working out in quieter areas or at home. I'd even recommend them for people with difficulty hearing. The bone conduction tech is pretty neat and I'm excited to see how it improves over the years.

Headphones for all your needs!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used them more for my work-from-home routine than outdoor activities. I spend almost 3-5 hours a day on work related calls and I have tried different in-ear, on-the-ear and over-the-ear headphones. These headphones are hands down the best ones when it comes to comfort. I barely notice them and the call quality and battery life is excellent. I have already recommended them to a number of my friends :) Some more details: They come with a nice and sturdy case and a charging cable. The charging cable has USB on one end and a special magnetic connector on the other. The magnetic connector connects to the headphones. The cable is rather short. There is a quick charging feature. Plus a full charge provides almost 10 hours of battery life. I am usually able to use them whole day without a need for a recharge. The band that keeps the buds together is quite inflexible and it lies at the back of your head over the neck. So, I don't think there is any personalization possible but the design is good which keeps them in place even if you move around/shake your head. ** I haven't used them for a run yet. As mentioned, the sound quality and call quality are excellent. The buttons on the buds are easy to use. They will let u take/disconnect call, skip/rewind tracks, increase/decrease volume. ** There is a bit of tickle/vibration which is normal for bone conduction head sets.

Works great, gets really loud, is comfortable.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought one of these for my son when they first came out and he loved it and used it until one side stopped working this last year. He just got this pair for his bday and he says it is so much more streamlined and performs better than the original. He is just as delighted as he was with the first pair. I listened to them and I can't tell the difference between this and just hearing through an earbud. Also, when I turned it up, it did make it hard to hear other things. It definitely felt like I was "listening" not like I was sensing it through bone conduction but if you remove it from your ears, you definitely just feel vibration, you don't hear sound. So these are interesting and great. It doesn't create that pressure feeling that you get when you listen to music too loud but it does block other sounds if you turn it up too much.

Pretty quiet but suitable for the gym
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me begin this review by stating I purchased these solely for gym use. They are NOT my “go-to” headphones for supreme sound quality and immersion. For quality, these are sufficient but nowhere near premium. And that was ok with me. These headphones are phenomenal for what I wanted. They stay firmly attached to my head while I jog. They are so comfortable that I often forget I am wearing them. I enjoy listening to podcasts and music. These have a lot more bass than what I expected! The sound quality is satisfactory and I am confident when I wear them that I am not disturbing others around me, even when the volume on the device is turned up all the way (as it usually is because these are somewhat quiet). It is a unique feeling to be able to listen to music while being able to have a conversation with the person next to you. To that end, it is quite wonderful and I can maintain awareness of my surroundings while using them. In closing, if you are considering getting these for sport purposes, DO IT. They are worth it. If you want something with more premium features and quality, keep looking.

Great purchase!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.absolutely love my Shokz OpenRun Pro headphones! The bone conduction technology works beautifully—I can listen to music or take calls clearly while still being aware of my surroundings, which makes them perfect for running and cycling. The fit is lightweight and comfortable, even during long workouts, and they never slip out of place. The sound quality is excellent for open-ear headphones—surprisingly rich with good bass—and the battery life is impressive. I can get through multiple workouts on a single charge, and the quick charge feature is a lifesaver when I’m in a rush. I also really like the Steel Blue color—sleek and stylish without being flashy. Overall, these are the best sport headphones I’ve owned: safe, comfortable, and premium quality. Highly recommend them to anyone who wants great audio without sacrificing awareness.

Close enough to perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They hold charge well, the carrying case is great. Audio is great & connects quickly & easily to your device. I feel safer running trails and love that it's comfy to wear with sunglasses and/or a visor. I've used it for meetings and audio on both sides is perfect. Couple things I'd change in a future version: something to hold the charging cable in place in the case, more volume options (in some situations 1 is too quiet and one up is too loud)

Amazing!!! Thank you Shockz!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I have sever ear issues. I cannot wear headphones that go into my ear so I invested in these headphones, they wrap around your ears and sit outside if your ear! They are super comfortable and I’m so happy I invested in these! They are sport proof, so that includes water proof and sweat proof. I use these in the shower, at work and just about every other activity I go to! Gals they are concealable you can put them on and if you have longer hair, you can definitely hide them! The sound quality is perfect and the music sounds like you are hearing it in person! I’d recommend buying these! So so so worth it! I’d also like to add that these have a battery that last me about 12 hours! So please do yourself a favor and invest in a pair today!!!

Great headphones for daily use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these for my husband for Christmas. He had talked about them for years(seems that way anyway) they have become part of his daily attire lol. I decided after trying his out I would get my own. They are so comfy and the sound is great. Now it is not noise cancelling bose sound quality but then again open ears don’t seem like that should be an option. I also notice that the bass can’t be there, when it is it feels strange. All and all they are an awesome do the chores and listen for fighting children, barking dogs, or husbands looking for the condiments behind the milk, that have been put there for 20 years.

Way more comfortable than earbuds!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several pairs of Bluetooth headsets but most of them are different flavors of earbuds. I wanted to try these Shokz since I get ear canal “fatigue” on most of my in-ear headsets. I’m pleasantly surprised that these Shokz are very comfortable to wear. I also felt a little safer wearing these while roller skating on a public hike and bike trail. At a medium volume, I was still able to hear people’s voices, bicycles coming up alongside me and even my skate wheels clicking over a bridge. When I first put them on with all my gear, I was concerned that they would be less comfortable but they were actually great to wear. I have long hair and was wearing a visor and sunglasses and while at first it seemed like there was a whole lot going on over my ear and behind my head, I hardly noticed it once I got moving. The sound quality is good, but not great. It was a little bit tinny but I attribute some of that to ambient noise and wind and again they aren’t in your ears. There is an app which has an EQ feature, but there are only 2 settings: voice and standard. I like a little more bass, but there is not a way to add any layers to the sound. The first time I paired it with my iPhone there were more steps than most apps and Bluetooth devices I use. Also the app only opens after the headsets pair with your phone but I guess that makes sense. The volume button is separate from the FF-REW-Pause button and having buttons over your ear and under your ear take some getting used to, but after a few tries I had it down. I’ve also used them now for phone calls and a conference call, which I was pleased with both sound and microphone worked well. One note is that the microphone picks up a lot your background noise in a phone call. The only thing I would ask them to add (besides better EQ controls) would be to make the strap behind your head adjustable. I have a small noggin and would like the strap to be about 10% smaller and snugger. Overall, 4 stars out of 5 for general usage and 5 out of 5 for comfort, exercise and outdoor safe usage.

safety first
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought and own a pair of SHOKZ OpenComms, they were amazingly comfortable and amazing and had a great canceling mic. I couldn't be happier with them until I wasn't on the mic at all! They still had warranty, the company told me 3 times that I would get a replacement, but 6 months to a year and still haven't received a replacement!! Took a cheap used bone inductor for a while and then needed another pair but no shokz replacement! I was hesitant to order anything from shokzi again. I did some research and chose another brand. Mojowa, excellent quality, amazing bluetooth range, decent sound, ok microphone, but fits me terribly, they hurt! no matter what I did I couldn't make them comfortable, I regretted ordering!I kept thinking about the comfort of my old shokz, what else did they offer? I decided to stay away from open com though, but gave in and ordered a SHOKZ OpenRun Pro from them!Almost not!! but happy!I can wear them all day and even forget I have them on!!!!full disclosure; I use my shokz mainly for driving and construction work for mobile use, listening to music is secondary, for your headphones audio critics they probably don't measure up to sony or bose but the sound is much improved from my first open com and the best in everything. inductions I've had!(A little note/tip about bone induction, if they're not loud enough for you, if you're in a loud environment, wear earplugs or soundproof headphones, they're loud! Sounds crazy. , I know, but really!I don't like headphones or things in my ears, and I also like to be aware of my surroundings, so bone induction is the only way for me!Great battery life and fast charging, great. all day comfort, great sound improvement and great microphone.SHOKZ OpenRun Pro!is by far the best bone induction headphones for me!I want to be a shokz user forever,I hope the quality surpasses my last pair of shokz or at least the customer service is more reliable! !because so far the SHOKZ OpenRun Pros are great!Stay tuned!!.

Checks most of the boxes!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclaimer: I am a member of Best Buy’s Technical Insider Network, TIN for short. Reviewers in this invitation-only program are provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews. Impressions: My first impression. The Openrun Pro is a light weight, flexible, comfortable, and long-lasting open ear headset. And musically unimpressive. But hold on a sec. What is Bone Conductive actually mean and why is it important? When I first listened to this headset I was underwhelmed and confused by the bass performance. I did not understand how a pair of speakers that could make my temples physically twitch in time with the beat did not have the kind of bass response I was used to with in ear earbuds, headsets, and other open ear products. There is a bass. There’s a lot of bass. There is shake your face kind of bass unlike anything my other earbuds and headset can provide. If I remove the speakers from the side of my face and hang them in front of my ear, I hear exactly the tone I am expecting from an “Air Conductive” speaker that is shotting sound directly down my ear canal. So, what is Bone Conductivity? The Openrun Pro is designed to drive the bass into your cheek bone and us it as a conduit to your eardrum. I had to go to the company’s website to read about and see a diagram of what they Bone Conduction was all about. And that is where I found my answer and cleared up all of my concerns regarding sound. Exact quote from https://shokz.com/pages/how-it-works, “By nature, it’s hard for bone conduction to out-perform air conduction in terms of bass…” I’ll try to leave the link to the page at the bottom of this section. The bass is not bad. It just different. And I wish Shokz explained this on their retail box instead of just listing it as a feature in five different languages. Now that I understand what Shokz is trying to accomplish with the Openrun Pro, I have a better understanding of how I should judge the sound quality. So, let us get into that. Sound Quality: First, these “do not” sound like in ear, on ear, or over ear earbuds or headphones. The sound quality will depend on the ambient noise in the room, volume, source quality, and the general position the speaker is from your ear. The louder the volume the better the sound quality. For example, while typing this paragraph, I am listening to “Amanda” from Boston’s Third Stage album. The music sounds a bit boxed in and distant at lower volumes. The boxiness goes away and the distance closes as I turn up the volume. This, of course, has the affect of drowning out ambient noise but not loud enough to complete block out the sound of my keys clacking as I type. I can also hear the furnace running in the basement. Of course, the sounds are less intense than if I had no music playing at all. The point is that I will hear that car coming up behind me while walking, biking, or running outside. You can really crank these. It is possible to block out the world if you really want to. However, I found that the speakers break up something awful at high volumes. I do not recommend you do this because you will not enjoy your music. You will also negate any safety that is inherent with open ear designs. Highs and high-mids are clear. Lower-mids and bass are different due to the Bone Conductive design. Lower-mids are there but sometimes feel like they get squeezed out. Turning up the volume seems to solve this problem. Bass is a different story. Most of use are used to Bam Bam Bam with a big “B”. Bass with the Openrun Pro is a bit more like bam bam bam with a little “b”. This is due to the bass being delivered via Bone Conduction. Mechanical waves sound differently as they pass through materials of different densities. Bone is denser than air. It is what it is. The speakers are very powerful. For example, testing the Openrun Pro with the overly emphasized bass of a workout mix had the speakers jumping off the side of my head. The muscles in my jaw and my temples were bounding in time with the beat. I own nothing else that does this. I found it novel and uncomfortable at the same time. But maybe you will like it. The experience is worth the try. What else have I done? I have been using the Openrun Pro for five days now. I have used them every day for no less than six hours a day for multiple types of activities including exercise, yard work, housework, general computer tasks, cooking, conference calls, writing, and phone calls. I have listened to a wide range of content including classical, rock, K-Pop, rap, dance, techno, electro swing, and many other types of music. I have listened to talk radio, news, and phone/conference calls. The sound was good as long as the source quality was good. These are not audiophile good but good enough good. Phone: Phone calls over my iPhone were perfect for both the sender and the receiver. My phone partners reported that they were surprised how clear I sounded over the Openrun Pro headset. They thought I was speaking directly into the phone. Now, I am mostly in a quiet location when making phone calls so I have no idea if the sound canceling features of the microphones would play just as well in a crowded office or a busy street. Setup: Setup was super simple. I was synced up to my iPhone within a few minutes of removing these from the box. I opened the Bluetooth app on my iPhone, pressed and held the volume up/power button on the Openrun Pro for five seconds, and like magic “Openrun Pro” popped up on my iPhone. I then synced the headset with my gaming laptop. I had to disconnect the headset from the iPhone, press and hold the power button for five seconds, and then add it to Windows from the Wireless Devices app in Settings. I followed the same process to setup the Openrun Pro with my work laptop. The Openrun Pro will reconnect automagically to the last device it synced with. It will easily re-sync with a previously synced device. Note, you will need to manually disconnect from the currently synced device before establishing the connection with your next device. The Shokz app, version 1.0.5, does not work on my iPhone. I am running the latest iOS so am not sure what the issue is. The app does provide additional functionality for the Openrun Pro such as firmware updates, two EQ settings, and quick switching between two Bluetooth sync partners. Controls: I think Shokz did a great job of making the controls on the Openrun Pro simple. There are three buttons: Volume up/Power, volume down, and a multi-function button that is context sensitive: play/pause, answer/end call, track forward, and track back. Not all is perfect though. First, the headset will not activate Siri. Second, not all features are available with Windows. The multi-function button on the left speaker housing has zero function in Windows regardless of what application I use. Controlling volume from the headset is hit or miss. When it works it works. When it does not work then volume button turn into battery status buttons. I have no idea why. The only work around I have found is to restart the headset, restart the computer, and re-sync. Comfort: I found the Openrun Pro to be very comfortable to wear. Any earbud I have owned within the last two years have been painful to wear within an hour of use. I do not even need to listen to anything for my ears to become fatigued. The Openrun Pro will eventually become uncomfortable but only after wearing them for several hours. And even then, any discomfort is minimal when compared to the earbuds I have tested. That is enough time for a good workout and then some before I have to take a break from them. Better yet, I have not been able to get these to fall off my head. I spent one workout jumping on a mini trampoline. The Openrun Pro did not come loose, bounce around on my head, or fall off. Charging: The Openrun Pro comes with a hard case. This will protect the Openrun Pro during transport in your sports bag. The case does not double as a charging case. The charging port is a proprietary magnetic connector located behind the volume control buttons. The other end of the cable is a standard USB connection which will work with any USB charging port. I am guessing that Shokz did this to enhance the water resistance of the headset (one less port to protect). They could have gone with a standard mini-USB charging port but then they would have to make a flap to waterproof the port when not in use. Unfortunately, it is just one more cable to keep track of. The Openrun Pro seems to have a good long battery life to it. Shokz states that the Openrun Pro has a 10-hour battery life. At most I have run it for eight hours without charging. The battery was not dead when I charged it. I just habitually put my devices on the charger before going to bed. Shokz states that the headset has quick charge capabilities. I did not time how long it took to charge the headset. I can only report that I have been using the Openrun Pro throughout the day and have not yet needed to charge the headset. Final thoughts: I have been looking for months for a good pair of headphones to use with my workouts. My focus was exclusively on earbuds which just were not working out for me. All of which I tried and returned to Best Buy. It never occurred to me to check out the open ear style of headphones. It took me longer to figure out the bass. Shokz should include information on the box or in the packaging to define their special features beyond just naming each feature in five different languages. These are not audiophile quality sound. Shokz even states on their website that Aid Conductive devices do a better job. They do a good enough job for a workout, housework, yard work, and for writing a product review. The Openrun Pro checks enough boxes that I will be using these for a good long time.

They offer an excellent user experience. I can't claim they offer the best sound in their class, but you can listen to your music without being rude or oblivious to your surroundings. The sound quality is more than adequate for an open ear headset, especially one intended to be worn while working out. I wear them as daily drivers at work, and haven't had any issues, even in windy Oklahoma. The standard sound mode is a little bass heavy, but there is a voice priority mode should the bass bother you. The microphones are of surprising quality, managing to isolate your voice amongst the audible detritus of the modern world. When first putting them on, I did notice them for a period, but I was never bothered by their presence. The band is flexible and lightweight, and the way they cradle around your ears makes their presence barely noticable. I have legitimately forgotten I am wearing them and gone to turn the volume down on the TV. I have read reports of bone conducting headphones being good for people with hearing issues; I tested this theory at a client's house. The client's eyes lit up with how clear they sounded and how loud they can get if you need them to. They appear to be hearing aid compatible based on that limited experiment, so these are possibly a good solution for folks with hearing problems. Battery life and range are excellent. Shokz claims 10 hours on a charge; I'm not sure what volume they tested at, but I have run them for over 11.5 hours on a charge at 60% volume. Range-wise, I'm genuinely impressed with how little I have to fight with dropped connections and garbled audio. All in all, great product.
